Chapter 2: Adding Allies (Seasonal)
I immediately shivered at hearing these words. A couple was breaking up right beneath my paws. I wanted to ignore them, but because I could understand them, that meant these two were dragons. And I did want to see more dragons. So I quietly snuck behind a rock and looked at the two dragons. One was a nature dragon who oddly enough had some fur on him as well as tribal markings. The other was a ice dragoness. I could tell she was female because of her slimmer and more gentle design. She had blue spikes a icicle themed necklace. The most interesting feature was her legs were completely frozen.
"I still can't believe you don't know the difference between a date and well whenever else. You need to act more mature." She growled.
"I'm sorry if I was told to be who I am. Besides, you're way to serious for your own good!" He snapped back. Both dragons were snarling at each other coming closer to attack. I knew he had to intervene. But was it right? I decided that I didn't want to see anyone hurt so I jumped over the rock.
"STOP!" I cried jumping between the two dragons.
"Eeeeekk!" The dragoness screamed being surprised of me spying on them.
"What the? Stay back intruder!" The nature dragon warned. He started to glow and I was caught up in some vines. The vines continued to grab me and I couldn't move.
"Ugh. Let me go." I tried saying trying my hardest to escape.
"No way. You are trying to ruin my date." He said.
"To be fair, it was already ruined." The dragoness pointed out.
"Alright. Well now it's worse." The dragon added.
"Please just let me go. I wasn't trying to stalk you. I just wanted to not see anyone get hurt." I begged. The dragon thought on it before letting me go.
"Alright. But promise me you aren't going to stock us again." He said.
"Okay. I'll let you two go. I just didn't want to see you two fight." I said.
"Well I have to say, you saved our friendship with your entrance." He said.
"Well I'm glad I could help. I just didn't want anyone hurt. Can I have your names?" I asked. "Well, I'm Forrest and my friend here is named Snow Wing. She is my best friend and we tried to date but well, it didn't go as well as I thought it would." Forrest introduced.
"Well then. It's nice meeting you. My name is Seasonal." I say trying to introduce myself trying not to sound awkward. I looked behind to see Snow Wing walking all around me seeing every one of my features. I let her hoping it was just something dragons did. She then walked over to Forrest.
"This dragon is very interesting. I wonder what he is suppose to be?" Snow Wing wondered outloud.
"His name is Seasonal so maybe a seasonal dragon? But that is such a weird concept for a dragon." Forrest answered.
"Yeah...I wanted to be both a nature and ice dragon and I guess this was the result of some sort." I responded.
"Well consider yourself one of a kind then. Most of Mythiverse has fire, dark, light, water, earth and wind dragons." Forrest said excited to see a dragon so drastically diffrent.
"I'm sure this place at least has a few seasonal dragons." I said trying not to make my apperance too special.
"I'm sure it dose. But most of the human would either go for fire or dark or a hybrid of the two. You are a seasonal dragon though! That's cool!" Forrest said.
"It is very cool." I chuckled.
"Should you be going back to your family?" Snow Wing asked sounding a bit worried.
"Well. My family all became diffrent animals and since none of them are myths, I was brought here far away from my own family. So I've spent every moment trying to survive." I explained.
"Oh my." Forresst said in shock.
"I'm sorry! We'll take care of you!" Snow Wing cried now hugging me with her wings.
"Wait! How are we going to tell our parents that we are going to take care of some random dragon we found? He isn't a pet." Forrest asked.
"Well, do something! He needs a home!" Snow Wing panicked.
"I'm fine guys." I said.
"Maybe one of our families can adopt you." Snow Wing suggested.
"ADOPT?!" Both me and Forrest both yelled at the same time.
"But he isn't a baby. He is more than capable of handling himself." Forrest pointed out. "Haven't you forgotten where we are at? We are in Mythiverse. This place has a ton of threats. He dosen't have anyone to help him if he gets attacked. He should stay with us before a werewolf or something else kills him." Snow Wing said still not letting me go.
"Your going to keep holding him are you?" Forrest asked sounding annoyed. Snow Wing ignored him and continued the hug. I felt more and more uncomfterble.
"Fine. We can adopt him." Forrest said mostly likely to give me space.
"Alright. It should be your family though. You know how my father can be." Snow Wing said.
"Oh great. So now I have to be the one in charge?!" Forrest reluctantly asked.
"Yep. My family wouldn't want to adopt him. So deal with it. I'll see you. two tommorow." Snow Wing said as she flew away.
"Follow me." Forrest instructed. Seasonal followed.
"You two seem to hate each other. How did you become best friends?" I asked.
"Well, we normally are really close. We are just both fed up with each other tonight. We may be close, but she's not the kind of friend that would be a good mate. She's normally too serious for own good. Forrest sighs.
"I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you two can get over it together." I say still upset.
"Thanks. You know, maybe we just need to be a trio. I mean, you can be the one who keeps us in check. The leader or peacemaker if you will. Snow Wing doesn't seem to mind you at all." Forrest suggested.
"She seems to be a bit too protective. But I already am going to be adopted. So I suppose. Though I'm still nervous about this." I sighed.
"Same here. But my family should be fine with this. Every dragon here is going through many things right now." Forrest says.
"I'd imagine a lot of people are struggling with this change. Especially with those in my case. So thanks." I responded.
"You're welcome I guess. Who knows, maybe this will be a good thing. I mean, we are dragons. Might help if someone is there to help if one of us starts feeling territorial." Forrest said.
"Me territorial?" I asked knowing I wasn't like that.
"You being a Dragon means you'll have those instincts. Believe me, it'll happen." Forrest ensured. We soon reached our destination. The Treestay Forest and Forrest's home.
