It was a normal day going to Fairy Tail High. You were walking down the street towards your secondary, suddenly, you bumped into someone, you fell on your butt with a small 'Ow'. You looked up to see your best friend, Happy.

"Sorry, (Y/N)." He held out his hand for you.

"It's fine..." You took his hand and stood up, he was taller than you. "Hey, are you alright?" You both began walking together to school like you did everyday.

"No really..." He looked down at the floor with sad eyes.

"Let me guess... Carla rejected you."

"No... She rejected me a year ago, it's just... I feel avoided."

"By who?"

"By Panther Lily.. I mean we get along well..."

"Oh... He told me that you cause him trouble for him and Carla, he then told me he'd try to avoid you. Maybe that's why.."

"Trouble?! I'm not a troublemaker!"

"I know your not... But you can stay with me if you don't want to be alone." You flashed him a smile as he smiled back.

"Sure! Ok." You chuckled at his stubbornness. "Thank you for always being there when I need you, (Y/N).." You blushed and spotted a tint of pink flashing in his cheeks.

"You're welcome..."

"We better hurry to school then if we don't want to be late."

"Yeah..." You had a crush on the blue-headed neko. But you always thought that he still liked Carla, when he actually doesn't. Ever since you met him, he was like your guardian, always protecting you and defending you wherever you are no matter what. Even if he ended up getting beat up. He didn't care, all he cared about is your safety. He loved you, but little did he know that you did too.

During school

You and Happy we're walking around trying to find out what class Happy had since he lost his papers. You walked up to Mr Dragneel. You asked what class Happy had and sadly you didn't have the same classes. After that, you walked to your class, you had science. As you walked in the class to your seat, the bell rang,

"Just in time.." You mumbled under your breath. The class waited a while until the teacher came. Suddenly, you felt paper hit your head, you glared at Carla as she did her Sassy face and smirked.

"What is it, (Y/N)?" She used her sassy voice.

"Shut it, Carla!" You spat as he smirk got wider.
"Crap head..."You mumbled. As she pretended to be hurt. She nudged Panther Lily.

"(Y/N) is insulting me..." She was so stupid.

"(Y/N), stop it before I do something." He warned. He was Carla's boyfriend, he was like Happy to her except that he never got never up. He never hurt you, he just did it so that Carla wouldn't go on about it. He was your friend but you stayed around Happy more.

"Fine..." You mumbled earning another sassy smirk from the Crap-head. (Carla)

After school

You were walking home after you said your 'see you soon!' To Happy. Suddenly, you felt someone pin you to a near by wall, you winced in pain as you saw Lector.

"L-Lector?!"

"Well...Well...Well... Who do we have here?" A familiar voice came from the side revealing Carla.

"Let me go!" You squirmed at the taller neko.

"Nope.. Carla is going to pay me if I do what she ordered me to do."

"Are you serious?! You're actually going to listen to this b*tch?!"

"Oh... Well, you insulted me during class and now too? Well you'll get a worse punishment aren't you. And Happy won't be here to save you." She smirked as your eyes widen.

"N-No... Please don't!"

You eared a kick to the stomach as you flinched. Blood trickled down your nose, head and lips. Carla and Lector were beating you up and would stop. No. Not until they made you unconscious. Tears rolled down your cheeks as you whimpered while they kicked you.

"(Y/N)?!"

"H-Happy?"

"Leave her alone! NOW!" He ran towards you, Carla and Lector. Before Lector could react, he earned a punch to the face as he fell down making Carla scream.

"Lector?! No!" She kneeled down to him. She looked up to see Happy.
"But, Happy! She started!" He looked at me.

"No she didn't! Shut it sh*t face!" He spat at her as she whimpered and placed her hand on her chest.

"W-What?!" Suddenly, Happy fell as Lector punched him from behind. Carla laughed and smirked. They both walked towards Happy and began punching him and kicking him. He curled up into a ball as you watched in horror.

"N-No...H-Happy..." You slowly struggled with trying to stand up, but just managed. You limped towards Carla's back and raised your fist.

"Carla! Watch out!" Lector called out. Too late, she whimpered as she stumbled onto Lector. She turned around with a glare. You then managed to handle the pain in your legs and run towards her. She didn't know how to fight back. You kicked her as she fell to the floor and scrambled away. Lector glared back at you as he ran towards you. You both began fighting.

"Happy! Let me protect you this time!" You called out at the bleeding boy as he closed his eyes. He wasn't unconscious. You dodged a punch and jumped over Lector's kick. You managed to kick Lector's leg causing him to fall. You glared down at him as his eyes were filled with fear and scrambled away to find Carla. Just then, you felt yourself fall but fall in a pair of arms. You looked up at the blue neko behind you.
"Happy..." You managed before falling unconscious.

You woke up in a soft bed under white covers. Your (H/C) hair spread into the pillow. You looked around to notice that it wasn't your room, you looked to the side to see a sleeping Happy on a chair holding your hand. He opened his eyes as they sparkled.

"You're awake!" He hugged you but pulled away straight after knowing you flinched in pain.
"Sorry."

"It's fine.."

'Her voice... So sweet..' He thought.

Suddenly.... You felt a pair of lips slap onto yours as your eyes widen, you felt a hand caress your head a few times. As  you began turning into a living tomato with a blush that spread ear to ear. You closed your eyes and snaked your hand around his neck while he wrapped his hand around you. You kissed back with the same amount of passion. As you pulled away, you both stared into each others eyes before smiling. He hugged you and whispered in your ear.

"I love you, (Y/N)... I always have.. You were always there for me when I needed someone. And this time you protected me... I love you with all my heart. Truly...."
