It was a Thursday morning and you decided to go see your best friend, Kaneki. You took your phone out and started texting him

You: Hey can I come over?

Kaneki: Sure! When?

You: Today you dummy

Kaneki: ok

You: I'll be right there!

You shut your phone down and shoved it in your pocket.
You grabbed your coat and slid it on you for warmth. Before you opened the door, you took your mask, you didn't put it on knowing that you could be recognized as a ghoul. Instead, you put your hood up and shoved it in your back pack. You were about to open the door but stopped yourself. You sighed and took your phone out again,

You: Hey! Sorry to disturb you again. Can I stay over yours for the night. I think that someone's following me...

Kaneki: Sure, don't forget to grab your stuff when you do come!

You: ok

You shut your phone down again and ran upstairs to grab your pajamas, tooth brush, hair brush and so on... You ran downstairs again and unlocked your door. As you stepped out of your house, you turned to lock the door and put the keys in you pocket before walking off to Kaneki's. You were a ghoul as well as Kaneki, however... You had more human friends than ghoul friends. You were once a human, but someone implanted ghoul stuff in you. You weren't a half ghoul. You were too weak to get away and the ghoul completely turned you into one. You and Kaneki were best friends, you liked similar things and both were friends with Hide. When Kaneki was kidnapped by that big guy. You never found out his name. He wasn't himself anymore, but with you? He was always sweet. He was depressed because Touka cheated on him with another guy. But he got over it because of you. You had a crush on the one-eyed ghoul. Ayato? Nah... You didn't really like him, you found him bossy and sassy.

Finally, you reached Kaneki's house, you softly knocked on the door and waited for an answer. The door slowly opened revealing Kaneki with a warm smile.

"Hey..." You breathed.

"Hey.." He stepped to the side to allow you to enter his house, well more like an apartment. You looked back at Kaneki who was locking the door from preventing anyone from breaking in,

"So....Where am I gonna sleep?" You asked breaking the silence.

"I'll show you, come on." He led you to his room and pointed to his bed. "You'll be sleeping in my bed."

"Where will you sleep?"

"On the couch in the living room,"

"Aren't you going to be uncomfortable?"

"No I have been sleeping on that couch whenever guests stay over, I'm used to it." You couldn't tell if he was lying or not but shrugged it off.

"Ok.. I'll change into something comfortable.."

"Ok! I'll leave you to it." With that he walked out allowing you to change. You grabbed out a pair of black leggings and a (F/C) shirt, a pair of fluffy slippers and finally, you set your things ready for when you sleep and walked out. You found Kaneki on the couch watching TV, the window was slightly open causing his white hair to blow in the breeze.

"What'ya watchin'?" You asked curiously.

"Oh, your out, a horror film is just about to start."

"Can I join you?"

"Sure!" You heard a 'Bing!' noise in the kitchen not far from where he was, you walked towards the refrigerator to see that he made popcorn. You smiled and took it out before walking back to Kaneki.

"I found popcorn.." You placed it on the small table in front of the two of you and plopped yourself next to him.

Suddenly.... There was a scene where someone was being tortured, you screamed in fear hiding your face into Kaneki's arm while you held onto it as if it held your life.

Kaneki's pov

I was surprised as (Y/N) held onto my arm as a scary scene popped up in the film, I smiled as she looked up to me.

"It's only a film... It's not real, so don't worry..." I comforted her as she smiled back and slightly let go of me. She still held in my arm just incase another scary scene came on.

After the films ended, she walked to reach my room where she was going to sleep. She didn't bother to brush her teeth, she was too tired for that. I pulled out a pillow and a blanket from a cupboard I keep spare blankets and pillows.
I set them on the couch in the right places before turning off the TV and switching off the lights. I slid under the covers and sighed before closing my eyes.
'What would I do if I lost you...(Y/N)..?' He thought to himself before falling asleep.

I shot up at the sound of a scream, I ran into the room where (Y/N) was.

Your pov

I screamed as I saw a large spider in my bed, I heard Kaneki run where I was.

"(Y/N)! What's wrong?!" He panicked as I stuttered.

"T-There's a s-s-spider in the bed!" I pointed to a large black hairy spider that crawled around the bed. It was actually a small spider but to me it was large and because it startled me and I screamed like a maniac.
He chuckled before walking to wards it and using my slipper to kill it.

"It wasn't that big." He giggled earning a frown from me.

"Maybe but it scared me! I was sleeping and wake up with something on my face and then I picked it off my face and screamed because it was a big and disgusting spider!" A tear rolled down my cheek.
"I don't like spiders..." He warmly smiled at me as I shot a glare. He slowly walked towards me. I gasped quietly as he pulled me into a loving hug. I tugged my head in his shoulder as he tightened the hug.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you..." He breathed. I looked up to him and smiled.

"Thank you..."

A few seconds have past and the two of you were still hugging.

No one's pov

You both pulled away and looked into each others eyes deeply.

Suddenly, you felt a pair of soft lips coat your pink ones. Your eyes widen as his were closed. You wrapped your arms around his neck while he placed his hands on your waist and kissed back with the same passion. You both pulled away from lack of air.

"I love you, (Y/N)..."

"I love you too, Kaneki..."
