Kyoru (I know there are a lot of kyoru chapters but I'm watching the reboot and I've had several ideas for these two😜)

Dinner was quiet tonight. Simply because Tohru and Kyo were the only ones present; as Shigure is spending the weekend at the Sohma estate and Yuki is having dinner with Machi.

Kyo was perfectly content with this turn about and Tohru talked happily about her day at school. They didn't have this quality time often. Although they aren't a couple, Kyo appreciates the relaxed feeling he gets when it's just him and the sweet brunette.

He was interrupted from his thoughts by Tohru's petite index finger lightly poking the tip of his nose. Almost simultaneously their faces erupt into a dark crimson that rivals Kyo's hair. "Sorry! I'm so sorry kyo, I don't know what came over me, you just looked so cute and I couldn't resist... I don't know why I even wanted to-..."!

She cuts off her rambling and covers her blushing face with a petite hand. Kyo smiles apologetically and reaches across the table to remove her fingers from her face. "Don't apologize, I'm sorry I spaced, just have something on my mind". She smiles sweetly at him, "Well of course you should know you can tell me about it". He smiled at her with so much adoration for the girl.

Without even thinking his mouth moved, and words that he thought he was simply thinking spewed from his lips: "I love you so much". As soon as the words register in both of their ears, they both brought a hand up to their own mouths. Tohru was shocked but her face was flaming as tears began slowly welling up in her sparkly eyes.

Kyo was also shocked but cursing in his head. Crap, she's crying! Is she upset, is she disgusted?! In an instant, Kyo stood and stepped over the table to sit next to the girl in front of him. "Hey, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to tell you. My tongue slipped, but that- that's what I have been thinking about. I'm sorry" he rests his head on a hand that was propped on the table.

His nerves were almost shot, he can't read her reaction and he fears its not good. However, his fear turns into surprise and fascination when the most gentle and soft hands find both sides of his face and raise them to show him misty chocolate eyes staring lovingly back at him.

"You don't ever have to be sorry for speaking your mind, but I'd like to tell you something too..." Gulping at this gentle but bold side of Tohru, he prepared himself for the four words he new she was about to tell him, *I can't love you* that's what he was expecting.

However, when Tohru brought him closer until their noses touched his heart flipped repeatedly. "I love you more" came her sweet giggle as she pulled kyo in completely, kissing him very lovingly with a gentleness that was just like her. Before Kyo could respond, she released him and blushed covering her face in an adorable bashfulness.

"You picked a beautiful time to become shy", the ginger says. Leaning down, he rests his head on her shoulder, taking one of her hands in his. "I love you Tohru. Will you stay with me?" gently squeezing his hand she happily replies to him, "Always". He couldn't be happier with her answer.

To make sure this wasn't a dream, Kyo reaches up and boops Tohru on the nose the same way she did previously. Continuing from there he caressed her cheek lightly, then he moves his other hand to do the same to her other cheek, before cupping her chin and cheeks in his large hands. "Can I kiss you?" She nods slowly, not even trying to hold back her blush.

His lips make contact with hers and this time he has the chance to actually feel her lips. They're soft, not just to the touch but also the way they fit perfectly with his. His thumbs tease the blush that crosses over her tear stained cheeks.

Sadly like most comedies, all cute moments must come to an end in the most abrupt way possible.

Yuki and Machi open the front door and stop talking instantly, Kyo and Tohru jump a foot away from each other with a loud yelp. "I'm so sorry if we interrupted something, I was going to grab some gardening things and then Machi and I will be out again" Yuki says with a half hearted apology, slightly amused at Kyo's distraught blush as he hid his face against the kotatsu. Tohru fanned her face to calm her blush and welcomed Machi to their home.

"Don't mess this up stupid cat". Yuki says nonchalantly, erupting flames to the couples face yet again. "Ya damn rat! I'm not the one who barges in on people having a moment!" and he slams the back door shut behind Yuki and his slightly confused girlfriend!

End (Well not the end this is simply the end of the beginning. There is more still to come in their lives. Who knows how many more slips of the tongue they'll have😜😂) sorry, I'm crazy.
