Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist

Ever since you enrolled in True Cross Academy, you had been really good friends with everyone in your class. Especially the one you sat next to...Rin Okumura. He was the hot-headed dork who, over time became really protective of you because of how clumsy you were. You two had also gotten really close. He was your best friend. You actually liked him. Not just in a friendly way either. You liked everything about him. He made you laugh, he made you mad when he'd tease you, no matter what you felt safe around him, and he had the best smile ever...But most of all, he made you happy.

You actually had been living with Rin and his brother Yukio in their dorm since your house was way too far from the school. It was nice being there; Yukio would help you with your homework if he wasn't busy, Rin made amazing dinners and you got to spend more time with them.

Today, you invited Shiemi over for a sleepover. This was the first time either of you had had a sleepover with anybody. "So [Name]-Chan, who are you planning on making chocolate for?" She asked you.

"Chocolate? What do you mean?" You asked.

"Did you forget? Tomorrow is Valentine's Day!"

"Eh?! Seriously? I completely forgot!"

"No need to worry! I thought you might, so I brought extra ingredients. We can make it together!" She said pulling out a bag with the needed ingredients. "So...Who are you making the chocolate for?" She asked once again.

Your cheeks turned a rosy red. "U-Uhm..." You quickly stood up, opened the door to your room to make sure nobody was nearby. Then you closed it again and sat back down, looking away. "We-Well...I was thinking...Rin..."

Shiemi clapped her hands together and smiled. "Aw [Name]-Chan! I thought so! Let's go make the chocolate, then!"

"Oh, who are you making chocolate for?"

Now it seemed to be her turn to have rosy cheeks. "I was actually going to give it to...Yuki-Chan..."

You smiled just as she did. You two went downstairs. Rin was looking for something to snack on in the kitchen while Yukio was in his room. When you and Shiemi walked in the kitchen, Rin turned to the two of you. "Oh, hey. What are you guys doing?"

You blushed a little, you wanted the chocolate to be a surprise and you weren't very good at keeping secrets. If you told him you were making chocolate he might get curious...

Shiemi smiled. "We're making chocolate for Valentine's Day!"

"For who?" Rin asked curiously.

You knew he would ask...You just had to hope that Shiemi wouldn't answer...

"Well, I was going to make some f-for Yuki-Chan and [Name]-Chan is making some for y-" She covered her mouth realizing what she was about to say. "Nevermind!"

Rin just seemed to reluctantly shrug it off.

While you were making the chocolate, Rin would pop in every once in a while. He tried to be subtle, but you could tell he wanted to know just who the chocolate was for. Eventually you ended up kicking him out.

"They're finally done!" You said happily.

"Yeah! I'm going to go grab the wrapping paper real quick." Shiemi said as she happily skipped to the other room. You sat there and looked at you chocolate. It wasn't too big, nor was it too small. It was in a heart shape with frosting making a smiley face.

This was your first time making chocolate - especially for someone so special to you. You were proud.
While you were waiting, you were spacing out, thinking of what to say when you would give it to him the next day. You wanted to make the moment special. Shiemi came back in the room. "[Name]-Chan! I got some simple but nice wrapping paper!" She announced excitedly. Her voice caused you to jump and snap out of your thoughts. However, when you jumped you bumped your tray with the chocolate in it. It sipped off the counter. You attempted to catch it but when it hit your hand it bounced and smashed on the floor.

"...Aw man...." You said putting your head down. Shiemi had her mouth covered with her hand.

"[Name]-Chan...Here, let me help you." She walked over to you and picked up the split pieces. "You worked so hard on this too so it would look nice..."

"I know...I guess I'll have to stay up later to make another..."

The two of you stood there in silence for a bit. Then, Shiemi's face lit up. "[Name]-Chan! We can fix it!"

"Re-Really?! You think so?"

"I know so! If we use frosting then freeze it over night...Maybe it'll harden to the point of sticking back together!"

"Shiemi-Chan, you're a genius!" You said ecstatic. The two of you did just that. Then you both went back to your room and went to sleep.

The next day all you could think about during class was giving Rin the chocolate. You knew he hadn't received any others yet since you had all the same classes. Yukio, on the other hand was getting lots. It seemed like he didn't want to accept them, but did anyways so their hard work wasn't put to waste. You wondered when Shiemi would get the chance to give him hers...
It was finally lunch time. You sat next to Rin as usual. He started to eat his lunch. You thought now was perfect...He was right there. 'You can do this [Name]...' You thought to yourself. Though even with the self cheering, you were far too nervous. You sat there with a face as red as an apple. You swallowed, took a deep breath and took the little pouch with the chocolate out of your bag. Staring at it...

"Ne-Ne, R-Rin. H-Here! Take it!" You managed to spew out holding out the pouch to him. He stared at you with a blank look for a minute. Then he made a face as if he finally figured out what you were giving him. His cheeks were as red as yours once he realized. He took the pouch and opened it, turns out the frosting method didn't work...It was broke again.
"Oh, come on! That should have held it together..." You mumbled just for him to hear cause he chuckled. "Wh-What are you laughing at?"

He shook his head with a half smile. "You just can't do anything right, can you?" He teased.

Your cheeks puffed out. "I tried. But I bumped it and-"

"Thanks!" He said excitedly. He always got so excited over food...He took a bite. "Mm, that's good!" He said with some chocolate still in his mouth. "I've never gotten something for Valentine's Day before... Though...I'm glad it was from...You...[Name]..." He said with a tiny blush creeping up on his face.

Your face heated up too. You weren't sure how to respond. You were overjoyed. You avoided eye contact though. It would only make your blush increase.

"Y-You know...Uh...I-I..." You began, this time looking into his deep blue eyes. "Rin, I really like you-"

"Yo! Get any chocolate, Okumura?" Interrupted a familiar voice from behind. You both turned to see Renzo. Everyone just called him Shima though. Your face felt like it was steaming if it wasn't already. You were about to tell Rin how you felt! So close...But damn! Shima ruined it!

"Uh, Shima. [Name] and I were talking..."

"Hm? About what?" Shima asked cluelessly. Bon, who must have been listening from his seat, grunted in annoyance. You just sat there still blushing heavily. Unsure of how to react to the situation.

"So...Go away or something..." Rin said with a light blush on his face as well. It seemed like Shima finally got the hint this time and went back to his seat. "So, uh, what were you saying?"

You turned your gaze to the demon once more. You had a feeling he knew what you said. "...I um...I really..." You weren't sure why, but this time you couldn't get it out. "Rin I...Really really like you..." You mumbled. You covered your face with your hands to hide your blush.

He blushed a bit, which meant he must have heard you. "O-Oh...W-Well uh...S-Same...Here..." He said looking the other way. You put your hands down, and couldn't help but smile knowing the feeling was mutual. When you smiled all big and bright his face got even redder if that was possible.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Rin!"

Meanwhile...
Shiemi slowly and shakily walked to where Yukio was. Luckily, she caught him in the hallway going the opposite direction of her. "A-Ano!" She called out. Yukio turned to her.

"Shiemi-San? What's wrong?" He asked.

"No-Nothings wrong, really...I-I know you've gotten a lot of these already but H-Happy V-V-Valenine's Day, Yuki-Chan!" She said handing him the chocolate. He blushed a little bit.

"T-Thank you..." He said as he began to eat the sweet. "It's really good." He took a short pause. "You...You know, out of all the chocolate...Yours is the most special..." He said to her. Shiemi blushed bright red.

"R-Really?!"

Yukio smiled. "Really."
