You kicked a small pebble down the sidewalk. As you walked down, you kicked it again. Not paying attention to anything around you.

That's when the incident happened.

When the car swiveled out of control and jumped the curb. When you couldn't jump away in time. When your entire body was pinned against the stone wall.

"Oh my god somebody help!" A woman shrieked as she so desperately tried to unpin you.

"C-call him." You managed to rasp out and the lady looked around.

"Who!? Tell me and I will!" She grabbed your phone that had fell on the floor.

"Him." You weakly pointed to the wall with graffiti.

The driver was passed out and the car was inoperable. Too heavy to push. Too broken to drive. Nothing would help.

"Delivery god Yato at your service! Fast, easy, and affordable." He exclaimed as he appeared out of thin air with another boy.

"Yato come on!" The boy started pushing the car.

This boy had a green parka on. Beautiful orange eyes and blonde hair.

"Sekai!" Yato called while the boy was screaming no.

"Y-yato." You smiled and lifted your head for him to barely identify your bloody face.

"YATO!" Yukine screamed and Yato tried prying the car.

He pushed and pulled. He got into the driver seat after pulling the unconscious man out.

"Please just a little nudge." Yato gripped the steering wheel as dozens of others pushed the car.

Police, fireman, ambulances. Nothing would work.

"So this is it huh?" You chuckled and looked at Yato trying so hard to get the car to work.

"Revert, Yukine!" Yato shouted and the sword transformed back into a boy.

"I'll try to get someone to pull the car with their own." Yukine said and Yato nodded.

Your breath started to slow down. Your heart rate also. Your eye lids felt droopy. Suddenly Yato beat the dashboard of the car and it started.

He drove back and you fell onto the sidewalk.

Glass. Hair. Clothing. Blood. Everywhere.

"[Y/N]!" Yato screamed and Yukine ran over to you as well.

Your tears blurred the little sight you had left. The paramedics lifted you into a stretcher and quickly stuffed you in one of the ambulances. The driver in another.

Yato and Yukine climbed in right before they shut the doors.

They put an oxygen mask over your face and tried to stop the bleeding as much as possible.

"Y-yato.. Is she going to die?" Yukine asked, clutching his jacket in his hand.

"I don't know." He replied and Yukine started crying.

Pain shot through Yato for a split second and he grabbed the back of his neck.

"Careful Yukine." He said and Yukine nodded through the tears.

"Sorry."

Yato looked up. That voice wasn't Yukine's. That word came from your lips. You smiled at him and closed your eyes slowly. A sudden moment struck both of the boys.

As they realized.

You weren't going to wake up.

"NO [Y/N]!!!" Yukine screamed and the paramedics preformed CPR.

Then they tried the AED.

Yato stared in shock.

"Yato?" You asked.

"Hmm?" He turned to face you.

"I want to be your guys' friend forever. You. Yukine. Hiyori. Kofuku. Dokoku."

"Okay." He said and held his hand up, fingers extended.

You tossed a 5 yen coin at him.

"Your wish has been heard. [Y/N] [L/N], may our fates intertwine." He flipped the coin up and caught it.

"Yato!" Yukine shook him.

Yato had been crying without noticing.

"Yato. They took her in the Iki General hospital. Should we call Hiyori?"

"Yukine. Start looking now." Yato said as he stood up.

"For what?" He asked and Yato grabbed a paper and a pen.

He quickly sketched a picture and handed it to Yukine.

"Show Hiyori and then you two split up." He said and rubbed his eyes.

Yato ran out of the vehicle and starting running. He ran and looked. He ran then stopped at Kofuku's house.

"K-kofuku. It's [Y/N]." He panted and she nodded, understanding his tear stained face.

"DOKOKU!" She shouted and he came out.

"What is it?" He asked and Kofuku explained as Yato ran away, looking.

Everywhere. All of the available Gods and Regalias looked.

"It's. No. Use." Hiyori panted and looked to her right. "YATO!!!!" She screamed and ran.

She ran towards the phantom. For there it was.

A pure spirit.

"Why is it so dark here?" You asked and you huddled up tightly. "Yato. Please hurry. I'm scared."

Yato perked up as he heard his name shouted aloud. He ran towards the noise. Yukine also.

"[Y/N]!" Hiyori shouted as she slapped her hands shut upon the small puff.

She held it in her hands like a small firefly. She ran with her hands clasped together. She wasn't running to find Yato. She was running to save her and your life. From a enormous phantom.

"Yato!" Hiyori screamed as she passed the god.

He stood in between her and the phantom and Hiyori took cover.

"Sekai!" Yato called as the sword appeared in his hand. "Go get Hiyori out of here." He smiled and Yukine protested. "Revert, Yukine! Hiyori open your hands!"

Hiyori obeyed him and as soon as she did, Yukine grabbed her arm and started running.

"But Yato needs our help!" She said and widened her eyes. "What about her?!" She shrieked and Yukine laughed.

"We can watch from a safe distance right here." He smiled and crouched.

Yato held his right hand up to the small spirit as it shined and Yukine gasped in amazement.

"He's going to." Hiyori widened her eyes and Yukine smiled.

"Mhm!"

"Spirit you are lost in a drift. You have no where to go and no where to return to. Thus, I grant you a place to belong! My name is Yato. Bering two names you shall remain here. With these names I make thee my servant. With these names I use my life to make thee a regalia fit to be wielded by a god! Thou art [Y/N]! A Regalia tanto! Come tanto!" He shouted as he wrote your name in the midnight sky.

He held the grip of your short blade in his hand and smiled.

"Come on fish face!" Yato taunted and jumped up. "Let's go!" He said with confidence as he flipped and plummeted toward the phantom, your blade pointed towards the monster.

He had slain it for the last mark of the creature appeared after the word 'rend' was spoken, then vanished.

"Revert [Y/N]." He said and you transformed into your human form.

"Did ya miss me?" You chimed as he hugged you tightly.

"Yeah I did." He cried onto your shoulder as all the members of the search party smiled.

"AWESOME!!" You screamed as you looked at you mark.

"Your Regalia name is Ai." He said and bit into the apple.

"Ai means love." Hiyori cooed and Yukine smirked.

"Smooth Yato." He said and Yato spat out his chewed apple.

"No it's not like that!" He shouted and Kofuku giggled happily.

"Oh Yato." You laughed and sat back.

"YUKINE SHUT UP!" Yato grabbed the boy's ear as he laughed happily.

"Perv."

"Runt."

"Now I'm a Regalia for a God with nothing." You sighed, sort of disappointed.

"I saved you." He huffed and Hiyori shook her finger whilst clicking her tongue.

"Actually, I found her." Hiyori smiled and winked. "I'm taking the credit."

"I feel bad. I mean I remember you guys. But memories of my family are so hazy. I don't remember what they look, sound, and act like." You sighed and Yato put his arm around your shoulders.

"It's for the best. No matter how hard you try, you're dead in the real world. But you have us so don't worry!" He smiled and you hugged him around his waist and inhaled his smell.

"Thank you Yato." You smiled and everyone cheered.

"Kiss kiss kiss kiss!" They chanted and you blushed furiously.

"N-no!" You screamed and Yato smirked.

He pulled you in and kissed your lips.

"Yato!" You covered your face and he tilted his head after sitting against the wall.

You crammed your hand into your pocket and took out a 5 yen coin.

"I wish for my master to get his own shrine!" You smiled and he widened his eyes as you flipped it towards him and grabbed another one. "I wish for my master to be successful and not a bum." Every time you chanted 'I wish', you grabbed another coin. "Yato, I wish for our fates not to only intertwine, but to stay together forever."

"OH [Y/N]!!!" Kofuku leaped over the table and tackled you over.

"O-ow." You mumbled as she squished her face into yours.

"Your wishes have been heard loud a clear. [Y/N] [L/N] may our fates not only intertwine, but overlap into one." He smiled cheekily and you blushed, still been squished by Kofuku.

"Yato, did you and [Y/N] just start.. Dating?" Yukine asked and you both looked at each other.

"Yeah." You laughed.

"I guess we have." He replied.
