I swam free that was it. No exceptions. None at all.

"Hey Haru!" [y/n] tapped my head and I looked up at her, snapping out of my daydream.

"Hmm?" I asked, quite bored.

She crossed her arms and leaned over.

"I need a favor from you." She mumbled quietly.

"I don't want to get in your drug business go away kid." I shooed her away and she wailed my leg from under my desk.

"I'll drown you in your pool. No matter how much you love that water, it won't undrown you dolphin boy." She spat and I sighed.

"What?"

"Never mind." She huffed away.

The bell dismissed us from our class and I saw [y/n] shoot out of the classroom faster than a bullet.

I walked to the locker room and got changed. As soon as I slid on my swim suit, I heard a splash come from the pool. Rei, Makoto, Nagisa, and I ran out to see what happened. We scanned the pool but there was no trace of anyone from underneath the cherry blossom petals so I slid my goggles on. As soon as we dipped out feet in, someone popped up from under the pink film and turned towards us.

I dove in and swam to her. I lifted her up a little and sighed.

"I never asked for your help." [y/n] coughed.

I ignored her and brought her over to the side of the pool. When I saw her I turned my entire body away.

"[y/n]." I mumbled.

"What?" She snapped.

"Look down." I coughed and she kicked the back of my head.

"Y-you looked you pervert!"

"Ohhh Haru-chan!" Nagisa cooed and latched onto my arm. "You have a thing for [y/n]~!"

I shook him off and sighed.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No." I said once again.

"No." He replied.

"Yes." I said back.

"No!" He insisted.

"Yes I do!" I shouted and widened my eyes.

Makoto was laughing so hard he fell into the pool. Rei chuckle while Nagisa splased the petal and water mixture everywhere.

"Haru and [y/n] sitting in a tree." He started to sing. "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" He laughed and she blushed furiously.

"I just wanted a quiet place to swim."

"This is a school pool, it's not going to be quiet. Admit that you wanted to stare at Haruka." Rei wiggled his eyebrows while she kicked him away.

"N-NO BAKA!" She shrieked and Gou laughed.

"Mhmm sure." Nagisa smirked.

"I'm going to add some holes in you Nagisa." [y/n]'s eyebrow twitched.

The two scrambled around the pool until I sighed.

"You can't even swim."

"Y-yes!" She insisted.

"No."

"You can't?" Gou asked when she leaned over the pool slightly.

"No." I interrupted and she pouted.

"Rei couldn't at the beginning either." Makoto reminded.

"HEY MAKOTO SHUT UP!" He shouted, all flustered.

"Haru could teach you." Gou said.

I looked over at [y/n] who was twiddling her fingers in the pool water. Her [h/c] hair stuck to her because of it recently being exposed to water. She looked up at me slightly and I sighed.

"I only swim free."

"For the team." She said.

"What?" I asked.

"For the team." She smiled and I widened my eyes.

"When you fall in love, you begin to understand. Everything looks different. Almost. Colorful." Gou stated simply.

The cherry blossom petals seemed more vivid than before. The blue of the pool was brighter. The grass almost looked greener. The red if Gou's hair seemed to stand out more than ever.

Everything was once dark.

"Will you teach me?" She asked and her cheeks flustered a bright red that would put tomatoes to shame.

"Yeah." I slightly smiled and she cheered.

'The world is more colorful. More colorful than ever.' I admitted to myself when Nagisa splashed water which cause [y/n]'s eyebrow to twitch in agitation.

"Thank you [y/n]." I said and she looked at me.

"For?"

"Making the world seem more colorful." I replied and Gou squealed.

"What?" She tilted her head in confusion.

"Haru~!" Gou giggled.

"WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!" [y/n] screamed, demanding an answer.

"Nothing." We both stated simply and she clenched her fist in frustration.

"I hate you." She spat through her teeth and the boys laughed.

The world seemed to be more colorful. I had a motivation now. My color cheered for me on the sidelines when we won nationals. My color walked down the aisle in a white dress. My color ended up bearing my two children.
