I walk down on the sidewalk, my (f/c) boots splashing up chilly water as I jump from puddle to puddle. This past week has been practically non-stop rain, so why not have a little fun?

As I'm walking along stomping in puddles, a car comes by and, well I'm sure you can see this cliche coming. Yep, I am now covered from head to toe with old rain water and thick mud.

You can't even tell that my hair is (h/c) anymore!

I try to scrape off some of the mud in a futile attempt to clean myself off before arriving at my boyfriend's house. Giving in to the mud, I sigh and trudge the rest of the way, dripping wet and contemplating how Ryuuji will react.

'Ok, so he is either going to be concerned or go into nagging mother mode. My votes on the latter.'

I don't even notice that I've arrived at the door until I've basically walked passed the small house. I slowly walk up to the door and knock leaving muddy prints of my hands on the it. I wait a couple of seconds before Ryuuji opens the door. He must have been cooking since the intimating teen was wearing an apron and holding a wooden spoon. He drops the spoon on the floor and stares at me in speechless.

"Ryuuji is that (y/n)?" I hear a female voice call out behind him.

"Yeah, I'm here Taiga!" I yell back. The girl come towards the door pushing Ryuuji out of the way to see what's going on.

"Why are you covered in mud?" She asks causing me to smile sheepishly.

"Some jerk's car ran through a puddle and gave me an unwanted mud bath." I pouted. Ryuuji, at this point, seemed to get his senses back and rushed me inside.

He starts to run a bath and gather some clothes for me to wear all while giving me that nagging lecture I was predicting earlier.

I strip my muddy clothes off and enter the steaming bath. It takes a good while to get all the dirt off, and I can't help but smile at how cute Ryuuji looked scrambling all over the place. When I finish and get changed I notice that Taiga is gone along with a good chunk of the food. I walk into the kitchen to see what is left when I hear Ryuuji walk up behind me.

"There's still some rice and chicken left over. Taiga decided that you were taking to long and left after she finished." I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his neck and give him a light peck on the lips.

"Thanks." I whisper before I go to collect the remaining food, leaving my blushing boyfriend frozen.

Sorry it took so long to get a new story out. My school decided that students don't need free time! They just need more homework! It has been awhile since I watched Toradora so I hope this isn't that OOC.
