(Anime: Hunter X Hunter)

-Ari's pov-

"Hey, nerd, buy us lunch." Cassie, the popular girl in school demanded me, 'the nerd', to buy her gang lunch. It's basically past of my routine ever since primary school. I've been bullied and was a slave to my classmates. "Nerd, are you even listening?!" Cassie yelled at me and I stood up.

"O-Okay, s-sorry..."

"Huh, sorry my ass." She snorted and her two close friends laughed evilly. I quickly flee from that group and head for the door while adjusting my glasses. I was about to slide it open when suddenly, someone opened from the other side and stepped in the room. That action caused me to bump into that person and fall onto my butt. "Ow..." I muttered and rubbed my injured butt when it made contact to the floor.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't see you." His face wasn't familiar so it's safe to assume he's the one of the new people who has enrolled this school. Rumors were spread around the school like wild flies. Rumors said that the leader was...You know, handsome and what not. I bet it's this guy. He smiled at me and my cheeks grew hot. He offered me his hand and I slowly accepted it.

"I-It's okay and t-thank you." I softly thanked him as I looked down at the floor. Out of the blue, I was suddenly pushed to the right and again, I fell onto the floor like a few seconds ago or so. But, the fall was a lot worse. I bump my head on the table leg which lead to another small-ish problem. My glasses feel off of my face and now, I'm really blind. I'm short sited, like really short sited. Why is my luck so bad today?

Cassie introduced herself in a flirty tone and I didn't pay attention because of the pain in my head. The buzzing sound ringing in my head was driving me insane, well, maybe a little. But it was still annoying and it also hurts. I was about to stand up on my own but someone helped me up. I looked up at the person's identity and couldn't really see. It was blurry so I tried to focused my eyes by closing it half way. Surprisingly, the new guy came to help me again. I smiled a small smile.

"Thank you and um...Do you know where my-" I said happily and without another word, my vision became very clear. "Oh, my glasses! Thank you, umm."

"Chrollo and you are?"

"U-um, my name is-"

"Excuse me, I'm still here you know and nerd, I thought I said to go fetch my lunch." My face saddens and Chrollo saw my expression. I smiled a small smile to him before walking away without another word. However, I didn't know that he was watching me as the trio continued flirting with him.

-A couple of weeks passed-

I eventually told Chrollo my name without any interruption and he said it was a unique name, which made me happy. Anyway, Chrollo and his gang, 'The Phantom Troupe' was a badass and dangerous group. Though they're very popular and no one would want to mess with them. In my class, only three of them were in my class. Because all three of them sat so close to me, I'm the center of hate. Every single girl in my class wanted or wished I was dead.

Their hate overwhelmed me but Chrollo was kind enough to give me a hand. I'm not 100% what he did to lessen the pain but it worked like a charm. Maybe it's because Chrollo invited me to his group? (Nope! It's more than that~ Hint: Threats :3)

Anyway, as I were saying, three members were Paku, Uvo and Chrollo. Paku was supposed to sit on my right but my seat was next to a window, so she sat in front of me. Uvo sat behind me and Chrollo sat on my right. "Ari, are you having some trouble with the English work?" I shook my head and of course, that was a lie. "If you want to make a lie a good one, make sure you try harder next time."

"Oh, I-I'm sorry, I'll try-wait I mean, I w-wasn't lying." I fidget with my fingers, looking very embarrassed that I messed it up. He chuckled.

"You do know I don't mind helping you, right?"

"I know but..." He raised an eyebrow.

"But?"

"Ummm, it's just that I feel bad for letting you help me, that's all..." I looked at my work and I heard his soft laughter which caused me to turn my head to him. I raised an eyebrow. "Did I say something funny?" I asked and he soon stopped.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh, it's just that your personality is so amusing, in a good way." Now I'm confuse as ever.

"I'm lost..." I basically muttered to myself.

"Never mind that, I really don't mind helping you and you shouldn't feel bad because I want to help you." When he said that, my heart beat increased dramatically and it was so loud that I bet everyone in the class could hear it. "Are you okay? Did you suddenly have a fever?"

"W-What? N-No it's n-nothing, really...Umm, since you don't m-mind helping me then c-can you help me?" He smiled and moved his table and chair close to mine so he could help.

"Nice one danchou." I was confused by Uvo's comment so I turned around and asked,

"What do you mean, Uvo?"

"I think danchou really likes you." He whispered and I grew really red.

"N-No he doesn't!" I yelled in a low tone.

"Ahhh, you must like him too~" He suddenly made this kissing sound and I snapped.

"Shut up Uvo or I'll cut your f***ing eyeballs out you son of a motherless goat!" I yelled and luckily the teacher was out of the room for some reason so I basically didn't get in trouble. Uvo sat there in silent for a moment and burst out laughing soon after. Chrollo also laughed and Paku laughed softly. While everyone else had their eyes wide open. I, on the other hand was so lost.

"HAHAHAHA, GOOD ONE, ARI, HAHAHA! Man you crack me up, HAHAHA!" Uvo complimented me in the middle of his laughter. I looked at Chrollo who seemed to be dying from laughter and Paku was still laughing.

"What did I do, again?" I asked myself. Suddenly, the teacher came in. Oh crap, I'll probably get in trouble by Cassie or someone! Come on, Ari, think of an excuse! When the teacher came in, Uvo, Paku and Chrollo slowly stopped.

"What's with all of the noise??" The female teacher questioned.

"Ummm, you see, I-"

"She didn't do anything bad, she just told us a joke to lighten the gloomy atmosphere, right everyone?" Chrollo smiled at everyone and completely lied to the teacher. Though, everyone looked scared for some reason and agreed while they try to crack a smile. Which I find that all weird but whatever. The teacher looked at me.

"Is this true?" I smiled and nodded. "Very well, all of you please continue your work." When that was said, everyone went back to work.

-Time passed-

"Chrollo, why did you lie to the teacher? Did you did it to not get me into trouble? Also, why did everyone in class acted weird when you smiled at them?" I asked him as we walked to our next class.

"You're full of question, aren't you?" He dodged the question.

"Uh-huh." I simply answered.

"The second answer is yes and the third, if I were to tell you, you'll probably think of me differently and you'll probably hate me." I was speechless for a while.

"No I wouldn't hate you even if you were black mailed them." He looked at me in shock. "What? Did I say something weird?" He suddenly laughed and I was confused.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh." He slowly stopped.

"It's okay, I guess? So, what did you do to make them stop bullying me and what not?"

"I threaten them and some I black mailed."

"Oh, I see...See, I didn't think differently of you and I didn't hate you." I smiled at him.

"You're a weird girl but your personality is one of a kind." He smiled back.

"Why thank you."

-Lunch-

The jerk, Uvo told the entire group how I swore and how funny it was. "So, Ari, do you normally swear?" Chrollo asked.

"Umm, not really, why?" I replied as I took a bite of my lunch.

"Nothing really, just curious..." Chrollo looked at Phinks (aka, no-eyebrow-blonde) and he understood what that look meant.

"Everyone, let's go." Phinks motioned everyone except me and Chrollo to leave with him. Soon, they left and it was quiet. Ever since I met Chrollo, I'm used to the group's noises so without it, it kinda felt weird, in fact, the silent felt weird.

"Chrollo, why did they-" A pair of lips suddenly slammed on mine and I was shocked. My first intention was to push him but, for some reason, something stopped me. So instead of that, I slowly but surely, kissed back as I melted into his passionate kiss. Soon after that, something wet licked my lips and it was Chrollo's tongue! Instinct took over and I pushed him away. He chuckled.

"Sorry, Ari, I didn't mean to do that." I blushed and fidget with my fingers.

"I-It's okay...And I didn't hate it if you're wondering why I do that. It's just I was surprised, that's all..." I mumbled under my breath, though it was enough for him to hear.

"It's alright, we'll take it slow then."

"WAIT! Does that mean, we're-we're...You know, girlfriend and boyfriend???" I muttered the last part quietly.

"If you want us to be."

"Yes! I would love to!" I happily accepted.

"Then would you show me everything about you?" He asked and I smiled.

"When the time is right." From that moment on, nobody bullied me or put me as their slave and what not ever because I'm the Phantom Troupe leader's girlfriend. Well, maybe a little by Uvo and some other members in the troupe. But that doesn't matter. Now I can finally be happy with my new family.
