I stood outside of my hometown, watching houses bursting into bright, reddish flames. I heard the cries of my people. I was supposed to protect and here I am, feeling powerless. "I am so sorry I couldn't save you all..." I said in a sad, soft voice. I then cried and once I stopped crying, the one thing that was on my mind was vengeance. From there, I couldn't watch any longer, so I ran. I refused to look behind me. I repeated a line over and over again in my mind.

I will kill the Phantom Troupe no matter what.

Or so I thought so...

-A few years later-
"Ahhh, what a beautiful day this is. Oh, who am I kidding..." I would like to stretch my stiff arms and legs but I was a bit tied up. I sighed. "I wish I could break this nen-proof-chain but it's so freaking stubborn," I said to no one in particular. How the he** did I get myself into this??? Oh, that's right, I was tracking a blond boy to see where's the Phantom Troupe's basement but...Got ambushed and I didn't see it coming. I even had my lines ready, well kinda.

If I get the chance to say it, it would be, 'Hello there, I'm going to kill you so lights out' or something along those lines. The door opened, revealing a pink-haired girl and, "Well looks who's here, it's goldilocks." Next came the blond women but she ignored my joke. "So...Are you going to try read my memory, again? Why not try something new?"

"It would be a waste of time trying to torture you or read your mind." Lol, it's because they can't.

"I didn't realise there was a smart one in your group," I smirked. "But then again, none of you are that bright." She glared at me. The door swung open and the blonde that I was tracking, entered the room. No offence but he's kinda...Happy and cute...And I thought all of the members were bad looking. Guess not, huh?

"If we weren't so bright, then how did you get caught but us?" He said cheerfully. I opened my mouth then shut it and opened it again then shut it. After a few moment, I thought of something to say.

"Oh, sh*t it you." I spat out. He moved closer to me and grinned. "What the heck are you doing?" Instead of answering my question, he pulled away.

"I just realise something."

"And that is?"

"You're actually cute for a young girl." Is that a smirk that said something...Sexual or an innocent smile?

"Well, I hate it to break it to you but, this 'cute girl' will kick your a**." I slightly hissed. His laughter boomed the room while the ladies just raised an eyebrow. I, too, raised an eyebrow. When his laughter died out, the whole gang entered the room. "Um, so, why are all of you here? Is there a party or something?"

"We need to ask you some questions and you must answer them honestly." I sighed.

"For the last time, I don't know the chain user." 

"She lying." I grew veins.

"Oh, sh*t it shorty, how would you know that I'm lying?" The emo boy glared at me and I glared back (Glaring competition).

"Is that so~?" The creepy-clown-that-gives-me-shivers said.

"Yes, now go away, creepy clown. No one wants to see your ugly face." (Damn, that's hursh XD) He smiled creepily, looking unfazed by my speech. "Anyway, is there anything else you want to say? Cuz I'm itching to kill you all." I smiled. The emo and the pink-haired girl stared hard at me. The two blonde, the clown and the leader seemed amused. "What? Don't believe me? I'll show you if you want."

"Meh to see try." The emo guy said.

"I give you a 10/10 for grammar skills," I smirked and he was piss as he**. Annoying people must be my speciality, well, for him anyway.

"Sh*t he** up." He hissed and the blonde-with-no-eyebrow chuckled. The little man dressed in black gave the Mr-no-eyebrow a deadly look. It shut him up, though if it was me, I wouldn't stop laughing.

"Anyway, I'll kill all of you now and it was nice meeting you all. Now, bye, bye~" I used my nen on them. Now they can't move because as long as there's shadow, I can use that to my advantage. "What's the matter? Can't move?" Some tried to struggle but couldn't move (Only their heads). I chuckled. "You're probably wondering why you can't really move. Well, allow me to explain before I destroy you. I control the shadows, either to make them control your body or kill you on the spot, which I won't do right now." I informed them.

"Interesting nen ability~" The clown licked his lips and smirked. 

"Thank you, I guess..."

"So you're a manipulator." The leader muttered.

"Yep! Also, I'm going to make one of you unchain me." I made the closest member unchain me which was the blond boy, the cheerful one. He was forced to unchain me, thanks to my nen ability. Once I was free, I stretched my stiff arms and legs. "Now prepare to die!" I raised my hand but the leader stopped me by speaking.

"What are your desires?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Revenge, what else?"

"Is that it?" I nodded.

"Why do you care?" I hissed.

"Let's make a deal."

"I'm listening..." I lowered my hand.

"You can kill us after we get our revenge on the chain user."

"How do I know you will keep your words?" I asked feeling suspicious.

"I always do." Yeah, totally. That's what they all say.

"No offence but, you don't sound convincing," I said.

"Believe me or not, I do keep my promises. I will even let you have the first move." I sighed.

"Fine, we have a deal but if you go back on your word, I will end your life on the spot. And that includes all of you." I glared at all of them. I deactivated my nen ability and now they are free. Though, just because we had a deal, doesn't mean they can't go back on their words now. I was on high alert. "So, when do we start?"

"Now." I nodded and he introduced me to all of the members. "Also, you will be with Shalnark." I nodded and I looked over at Shalnark. Guess what? He smirked at me.

-A few weeks later-

Is it just me or have I gone attached to Shalnark? Have I developed feelings for- "Hey Y/N, I need to tell you something." Shalnark said so suddenly.

"What is it?" I tried to sound normal, which I succeeded on.

"Well, I-I need to tell you something." That's weird, since when did Shalnark stutter?

"And that is?" I said as I sat down under a tree and stared at the night sky, that was filled with stars. Shalnark joined me.

"Are you planning on killing the Phantom Troupe?" I froze as I saw flashbacks.

"I...To be honest...I don't know..." I muttered.

"Please don't..." I heard his whisper. I bolted my head towards him.

"Why?! Did you know what your group have done to me?! The pain I've been suffering from?" Anger consumed me.

"If you choose not to kill us I would feel the hole in your heart!" He blurted out loud and I was shocked. My anger disappeared. Then there was a moment of silence. He blushed at his outburst.

"Uhhh, what did you...Say?" I asked slowly.

"I, uhhh...I LOVE YOU!" I blushed and was speechless. "From the day we met, I got this feeling in my stomach but I wasn't sure what it was. Then it grew bigger, stronger when we spent more time together." He looked away as his blush spread.

"I...Don't know what to say..." He sighed.

"I guess you don't have the same feelings for me." He seemed heartbroken.

"No, it's not that, I..." I swallowed hard. "I do have the same feelings but I don't know whether I should get my revenge or not," I said quietly.

"Oh...I'll let you think for a while then." I nodded. Should I have my revenge or...Not?  Should I choose love over revenge or revenge over love? Soon I made a decision.

"I've chosen my side," I said which made Shalnark look worried. "I'll trust you on making my happy," I smiled cheerfully and I haven't done so in a very long time.

"Does that mean-" I nodded and he kissed me! What?! Why so earlier? Oh well, the earlier, the better. I relaxed as I tasted his sweet lips and he hungrily devours my lips, my tongue. I had my arms around his neck to deepen the sweet, kiss. One of his hand snaked to my hip and the other behind my head. Soon, we pulled back from the sweet kiss that turned into a hot kiss. "I love you, Y/N," I smiled.

"I love you too." Then we kissed about...Five times?
