(Anime: Hunter X Hunter)

-Samantha's pov-

-Age of 7-

I was born in a wealthy, powerful family but I don't consider that as luck because I have no 'real' friends. You could say that they have been bride to be my friends by money or by force. Also, I basically have no freedom and it's boring to order people around. Though, I do get to go out but I'm was always being protected by my bodyguards. Being protected was boring if you ask me. I mean seriously, I can't even have fun!

But one day, I was able to escape the stupid bodyguard's vision and ran to the park. When I arrived at the park (which I always go here), I say many children but two of them were new. A blond-haired boy and a brown-haired boy. I never saw them before and I wonder who they are. I got curious and decided to approach them. They noticed that I was coming so they looked at me. I stared at the blonde and he stared back.

Suddenly, I felt an unknown feeling. What is this feeling? Since it was unfamiliar, I shrugged it off. To break the awkward silent, I greeted them. "Hey, I'm Samantha, what about you two?" I asked them.

"Hello, I'm Kurapika and this here is Pairo." The blond-haired boy smiled.

"Hi." The brown-haired boy greeted with a smile. I returned the smile.

"What to be friends?" I asked them while turning my head to one side a little. I hope they'll become my 'real' friends.

"Sure, wanna head for the swings?" Kurapika pointed at the two empty swings and I nodded in excitement. We quickly head to the swings. I went on one and Pairo went on the other.

"Oh, umm, Kurapika, do you want to go on the swing first?" I asked and he shook his head.

"It's okay, you can go first and I'll go next." He flashed me the warmest smile I ever seen. I finally had friends that treats me like one. I was so happy and ever since that day, we would come back and play all diffident kind of games. It was a lot of fun and eventually I told him my problems and he said that one day, he'll come and save me from that. I believed in what he said. Not only that, the unknown feeling which I found out called love, grew stronger each time we meet.

I couldn't wait to see him for the 20th or so time, but...He didn't show up at the park and I wasn't sure why. Since then, I haven't stopped believing in him and ever since Kurapika and Pairo stopped coming to the park, everything basically went back to the way it used to. Until I turned 18 and had my birthday, Kurapika came back.

-Age of 18-

-At Samantha's 18th bday party-

This party wasn't a normal birthday party like what normal people would have. This was more like a masquerade ball than a birthday party if you ask me. Since the party room was so noisy, I decided to walk to the balcony to get some peace and quiet. My hair danced in the cool wind and I love it. Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming towards me so I turned around.

It was a blond-haired boy but he was wearing a mask that covers his eyes and nose AND, I wasn't wearing any. I couldn't see his face because of it but...Something about him feels familiar... "It's good to see you again." He said and smiled as if we knew each other. Why is his voice so familiar? Have we met before??? I tried to think deep to see if I could remember where I heard his voice. But soon, I gave up.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" I asked him and he chuckled which made me raised an eyebrow.

"Have you forgotten me? Well, I really don't blame for not remembering me, it has been 11 years after all." What? 11 years?

"Wait, are you..." He smiled warmly and revealed his face to me. My eyes widen. "Kurapika?! How-what-when-huh???" He laughed at my surprise expression and a bunch of question came into my mind.

"Why don't we sit over there and talk?" He pointed at a couch not far from where we were standing. Since when was that there??? But I nodded. When we sat down, he explained everything to me.

"I see, so you moved houses and Pairo is no longer with us..." The atmosphere became gloomy. "I'm sorry to hear that..." I mumbled. Without me knowing, tears welled up in my eyes and slowly rolled down to my cheeks.

"Don't cry, Samantha." Huh? I'm crying? I touched my cheeks and surprisingly, it was wet. I wiped the tears away but my tears wouldn't stop coming out. Out of the blue, a pair of lips kissed my forehead and it took a while for my brain to progress all of that. When it did, I quickly jumped back and the kiss somehow made me stop crying.

"W-Why d-did you d-do that???" I stuttered while my right hand touched the place where he kissed. He blinked a few times and I knew he was progressing all of that like I did. Suddenly, his cheeks turned cherry red and used one hand to cover his mouth while avoiding eye contact.

"S-Sorry, I didn't mean to do that...You see, I thought it would make you stop crying so...That's why I did it." He explained. We slowly moved to our normal position while avoiding eye contact. Now everything was awkward and so quiet. "So...Do you still remember the promise I told you?" He broke the silent. I sadly nodded and he was confused about my response. "Why do you look so sad? I did say I'll free you, right?"

"I know, it's just...I don't think you can..." I replied quietly.

"So you don't believe me that I can do it...?" He sounded sad and I quickly fixed up my words.

"N-No, that's not what I meant. It's just...My father wanted me to get married soon so he arranged one. So basically, if you're planning on freeing me, the chances are pretty low." I reworded my words and to my surprise, he didn't seem that surprised like I've imagined.

"To who?" He asked.

"Umm, I actually don't know."

"I see..." From there, he changed the subject into something else. Like where he went, what he did and etc. Hearing his adventure was funny. Especially hearing about his three friends, Gon, Killua and the old man, aka, Leorio.

-Time passed-

Before I knew it, he had to leave, leaving me once again but I'm sure he'll come and save me the next time we meet. So I waited patiently for his return.

-Wedding Day-

I sat down on my bed while I was wearing my beautiful, white wedding dress. Why hasn't he come back yet? I've waited for him for so long. I felt like crying but I knew I shouldn't because today is my weeding day and I don't even know the guy! I sighed. Did Kurapika lie to me? I quickly got rid of that thought by shaking my head. No, that can't be right, I'm sure he's working on a plan...I hope... "Are you ready?" My father asked.

"Yes..." I replied and got up from my bed. I walked to the closed door and opened it. I quickly flashed a smile when I saw my father.

"You look lovely, Samantha. I'm so proud of you, my daughter." He smiled proudly.

"Thank you, father." I linked arms with him and we walked to the wedding area. The sound of the wedding sound began when I entered the room. As soon as I did, everyone looked so happy, especially my three best friends who were the bride's maids. They were Crystal, Allyria and Atheris. My mother was crying but the one who caught my eyes the most was my husband. KURAPIKA???!!! WHAT?! Is this a dream??! If so, please don't wake me up.

Kurapika grinned from ear to ear when he laid his eyes on me. A blush crept up on my cheeks. When I stood next to Kurapika, I was so happy. "Kurapika, how did you-" He cut me off.

"I have my resources and sorry for the long wait." He smiled and I cried tears of joy. He realized what I did and wipe my tears away.

"I'm so happy to see you here." Then the guy who looked like a priest started the wedding speech.

-Let's skip the talking cuz I don't know what they say-

"Now, you may kiss the bride." The guy that looked like a priest told Kurapika (Don't know this stuff, okay?).

He lends down and I slowly closed my eyes. His soft lips touched mine and I sunk into the passionate kiss. After our lips parted, everyone cheered. "I love you Samantha, I've always had. Even since we first met, I fell in love with you and I couldn't stop thinking about you." He whispered and I heard him even though the noises in here was pretty loud.

"I love you too, Kurapika. Ever since you accepted me as a friend." With that, we kissed again but it was more...Wild than before.
