I don't know why I can't tag.

The twins are definitely the best in the Host Club. They've gone through pain and hardship (and know how and when to be sensitive unlike some people) and they have a more interesting personality. (Unlike certain hosts I could but won't name) So...Yep, they be da best.

Right about now, I'm pondering over life issues like whether I like Kaoru more or Hikaru more. Come on! They are different people. I can't be like, 'Hey there, I like you both, which one of you likes me?'

Like whut? So insensitive. And besides...I'm done with my homework. So I've got time to think deep thoughts!;)

"Miss? You have guests by the names of Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin." A familiar voice spoke. It was a butler...

Wait...OMG, THEY'RE HERE! WHAT DO I DO? IS MY HAIR MESSY? AGH, SHOULD I PUT SOME LIGHT MAKEUP? CRAP, WHY ARE THEY HERE?

"C-Coming~" I replied, trying to sound calm. I don't think it worked. Deep breaths...

Ok, I can do this...I think...

"Hey there (Y/N)!" Hikaru said the moment I opened my door. I practically ran down the stairs.

"H-Hey..." I panted. Maybe I shouldn't have ran...

"Hiya! Boss wanted to check out the commoners' mall today and you'd mentioned before you wanted to know how a commoner lived so..." Kaoru grinned. They remember what I say? *sparkly eyes*

"Would you like to come with us?" They spoke together. No brainer on this one!

"Yes!" I smiled excitedly. A day with the twins...

Not exactly with them alone but still! It's THE first time I'm seeing them outside of school. My heart fluttered.

"I take it Haruhi-kun isn't with you guys today?" I asked, a silly smile plastered on my face. They frowned slightly for a moment before laughing.

"Of course not! She'd scold us." They spoke through what sounded like forced cheeriness to me.

The twins each grabbed one of my arms and ran, dragging me along.

I was already wearing denim shorts and a metallic purple and white striped shirt which looked pretty casual to me. My auburn hair was tied up in two low ponytails, slung across my shoulders. (A/N: If you don't get it...I'm sorry, it's the best I can explain.)

"Tell mom I went out!" I screamed at the maids we passed on the way out.

"Wow..." Kaoru turned to smirk at me.

"I didn't think I'd ever hear your sweet voice so loudly..." Hikaru turned to smirk at me as well. My face heated up. I'm hoping and praying to whichever god or goddess that I'm not blushing but I probably am.

We finally reached the outside of my house. I automatically smiled warmly. Finally! Out in fresh air. Man, I should've come outside to think my deep thoughts on them twins...

Geez, why didn't I think of that?

"KAWAII!" Came the squeals of two other voices I recognised. Then suddenly, I was being hugged my Tamaki-senpai, Honey-senpai and the twins.

Oh, did I ever mention that there in my class? As in, like, Haruhi and the twins, not the senpais.

Aww...I wanted to stay alone with Hikaru and Kaoru for a while more...

"Mistukuni. Your plan for the day." Mori-senpai deadpanned. Oh yeah, we're checking out the commoners' mall.

"Wait a minute! What about Kyo-senpai?" I asked. My first friend at school, Kyoya Ootori. Our friendship may have had a strange start but at least it lasted.

"Oh yeah...we have to go get him now. See, you two devils? I told you we should have gotten (Y/N) after Kyoya so that we wouldn't waste a beautiful lady's time!" Tamaki-senpai pointed his finger and reprimanded the twins.

Oh...did I ever mention how I found the difference between Hikaru and Kaoru? Well, it started on a day at the Host Club when they asked Haruhi to play their 'Guess which one is Hikaru-kun game?'. When Haruhi gave her answer and explanation, I began to study and observe my loves more closely and found what she said true. (A/N: That's just a nice way of saying stalk...)

"Sorry boss..." Hikaru rolled his eyes.

"It's not like (Y/N) minds anyway." Kaoru rolled his eyes. Yeah, true. I mean...spending time with the twins! BEST! DAY! EVER!

"I apologise for their behaviour, lovely Maiden. APOLOGISE!" Tamaki-senpai started off by handing me a rose and ended by screaming at the twins.

"You're wasting more of her time right now, aren't you?" The twins asked, poker faced. Man, they are too cute!

"AH! GOMENASAI! WE SHALL DEPART FOR THE OOTORI FAMILY MANSION STRAIGHT AWAY!" Tamaki-senpai screamed in horror. Then we ran to the sleek, black limousine awaiting Tamaki-senpai. Honey-senpai and Mori-senpai were already inside.

"Ladies first, oh gorgeous madamoselle." Tamaki-senpai used a rose to point towards the car. The twins walked right in. (A/N: Not sure if that was spelt right, please tell me if it wasn't.)

"LADIES FIRST, NOT TWINS FIRST!" Tamaki-senpai threw a tantrum at them.

"It's ok." I smiled. Kaoru turned a light pink while Hikaru rolled his eyes.

"See? She's fine with it." He retorted. I walked in and Tamaki-senpai got in after me.

He flipped his 'fabulous' hair and smiled 'dazzlingly' at me. I moved closer to Kaoru whose blush was more noticeable. AM I IMAGINING THINGS? HE'S BLUSHING BECAUSE OF ME??? *fangirl*

"Wanna swap places? It can be pretty traumatising to sit next to our boss." Kaoru smirked, attempting to cover up.

"IT IS NOT!" Tamaki-senpai whined. I swapped with Kaoru.

Kaoru smirked while Tamaki-senpai sulked and grew mushrooms in limo.

"(Nickname)-chan, do you want some cake?" Honey-senpai cheered, hugging 'Usa-chan' closely. I shook my head.

Hikaru had been looking out he window with Takashi's famous pokerface on.

"Are you alright, Hikaru?" I asked, concerned. He turned to grin at me.

"Of course I am!" He exclaimed. I wasn't looking at Kaoru on my other side but Hikaru was smirking at him and I could feel quite a terrifying aura. I'm not turning around.

"Why wouldn't he be?" I heard Kaoru's slightly enraged voice retort. Confused, I turned to him with a questioning look on my face.

For a split second, I thought I saw him furiously glaring at Hikaru but then he was grinning like he always was. I blinked once...twice...thrice...

He looked the same.

"So (Y/N)..." Hikaru whispered into my ear, his breath tickling my ear. My face immediately heated up as I whipped my head around to see Hikaru's smiling face a few centimetres away from mine.

"Which twin do you prefer?" Kaoru whispered into my ear from behind, just as Hikaru had. I turned to find Kaoru also a few centimetres away from me.

At that moment, my face burned away and I was left faceless like slender man.

Ok, not literally but I was so embarrassed, I looked down at my hands. They asked me the one question I couldn't answer them! Why?!?

"Oh look..." Hikaru's casual voice sounded.

"We've reached Kyoya-senpai's house." Kaoru also spoke casually.

I looked up to see them pokerfaced. Did I imagine that? If I did...I must be going insane! How...Why would they ask that?

But a knowing smirk from both of them confirmed my fear. It wasn't me going insane...THEY HAD ACTUALLY ASKED ME THAT! AGGRHDIWKXGHQLWHXICKSWBUX

Damn.

"Just so you know..." Kaoru whispered.

"You still have to answer that later." Hikaru whispered too. Crap.

Then I realised...

"WAIT A MINUTE! KYO-SENPAI'S STILL SLEEPING, WE'LL DIE WAKING HIM UP!" I screamed. Hey, being friends doesn't mean I don't fear him.

"WE'RE TOO YOUNG TO DIE!" The twins chibi hugged each other. KAWAII LITTLE...UGH, the question awaits me. *sulk*

"Have no fear! We shall drag him with us to the commoners' mall with us for the sake of elegant princess (Y/N) here!" Tamaki-senpai declared, posing and pining towards me.

"Um...So I wait outside?" I asked, looking at him awkwardly.

"But of course fair Maiden! You should await the arrival of your knights in the limousine, if it isn't too much trouble!" Tamaki-senpai stuck his face in front of mine.

"Bye." I said, turning and going to the limousine. Poor twins, suffering Kyo-senpai's full wrath early in the morning.

"Nuuuuuuu! Wait for us, (Y/N)!" The twins chibi chased me. I'm gonna explode from KAWAIINESS

"No, we must slay the beast in Kyoya for the sake of our lovely princess!" Tamaki-senpai posed dramatically.

"You're taking this too seriously!" The twins whined. That was when I realised Honey-senpai and Mori-senpai were already walking through the front door.

"HEY! The door is open, please close the door behind you." I imitated a robot.

They ran right in.

I waited for about 5 minutes before I started to get worried. I opened the door and was about to step out when they ran back dragging a partially conscious Kyo-senpai. Wow, they did it and lived! He must be real tired.

"You guys actually did it." I said happily. Kaoru looked hurt.

"Did you really have so little faith in us?" He asked, like his heart was broken.

"I...guess she does..." Hikaru said, his fringe casting shadows over his eyes as he looked down. I was really regretting my words and was about to apologise when...

"Ooh! Hika-chan and Kao-chan are really good at acting!" Honey-senpai cheered. A-Acting?

"Awww, you ruined it." The twins pouted. AGH, KAWAII!!!

"What?!!? YOU TOYED WITH AN INNOCENT BEAUTY'S EMOTIONS JUST LIKE THAT?" Tamaki-senpai roared at them, tugging on their collars.

"U-Um...I'm fine~" I said, stopping him from murdering my lovers.

"We were just bored." The twins shrugged. Tamaki-senpai looked pretty mad but half-conscious Kyo-senpai, Usa-chan hugging Honey-senpai and pokerfaced Mori-senpai were all already sitting in the limousine, waiting for him and the twins. Well...Kyo-senpai wasn't really waiting but yeah...

"Well, get in..." I smiled awkwardly. Hikaru got in next to me. Kaoru glared at his twin.

"Where do you think you're sitting?" Kaoru asked coldly.

"Next to (Y/N), of course." Hikaru said, flashing me a smile brighter than anything I'd ever seen. My face heated up again.

"Well, excuse me. I'd lie to refresh your rusty memory a bit. I'm sitting next to (Y/N)." Kaoru growled. Tamaki-senpai awkwardly snuck in next to me from the other side of the limousine.

"You could've sat there but Boss is there now you'll just have to settle for a seat elsewhere." Hikaru pointed nonchalantly. I'm not sure I get what's going on.

Kaoru looked furious.

Tamaki-senpai then decided, for the sake of his life, to move next to Hikaru so that Kaoru could sit next to me.

When that happened, Kaoru smirked smugly at Hikaru who was shooting Tamaki-senpai the evil eye. *shudder* I never knew the twins had such talent for imitating angry Kyo-senpai.

Then we had a quiet, uneventful journey to the mall.

Not.

Hikaru and Kaoru wouldn't stop making the atmosphere awkward with their anger while Honey-senpai, completely oblivious to his surroundings, happily continued playing with Usa-chan. Lucky kid. Well, not kid since he's technically 2 years older than me but whatever.

"So?" Kaoru whispered to me. I don't get all the 'whisper and get close to (Y/N) so she'll be all flustered' thing.

"What's your answer?" Hikaru whispered. Ugh. I no llllliiiiiike them~ *whine and pout internally*

"Wh-What if you're both just friends to me? E-Equally pre-precious." I stuttered back the lamest answer ever. Kami-sama has never been crueller.

"Hm?" Kaoru's fringe casted shadows over his eyes, making him look scarier than Kyo-senpai. I'm serious.

"Sure bout that?" Hikaru asked darkly, looking like Kaoru. I nodded, not trusting my voice. They cheered up but and acted the same as always.

But now I knew them...

They weren't the same...

There was a reason for that question and I'll find it out...

I'll force them to feel truly happy again if I have to.

*timeskip Christmas*

I smiled. Tamaki-senpai's Christmas party idea was really working out.

I looked over to two actors and my smile vanished. Half a year, I've been trying. Half a year to find out why. Half a year wasted for nothing.

Half a year of pain.

I've tried every last thing I could think of to find out. It won't work. The last I've got to just come right out and say it. But what if I'm just overreacting? Won't that make me look stupid? But do the twins mean more to me than my pride?

More importantly, ever since rhey asked, I've taken the question more seriously.

Which twin do I love over the other? Which one has taken my the bigger piece of my broken heart?

And yet...

I still have no answer. I sighed. I guess...I'll come right out and ask them.

"Hikaru? Kaoru? Can I speak with you guys for a moment?" I smiled. They nodded and followed me to the humongous Christmas Tree Tamaki-senpai insisted on.

"What is it?" They smiled at me. Tears sprung to my eyes. They stopped smiling and looked at me confused.

"Tell me..." My voice trembled. Was I really doing this?

"Tel me why you wanted to know who I preferred! Tell me why you're so affected by my answer! I want to know...why..." I spoke with forced determination and confidence but it soon faded away.

"So you do care..." Kaoru said.

"And since you do..." Hikaru said.

"You deserve the answer..." Kaoru continued.

"That we both love you." They spoke together. My eyes widened. Is this all a dream? Would I wake up to find that they never even asked me that question?

"Wh-What..." I didn't know what to say. Both gave me sad smiles.

"You really can't decide..." Tears dripped from Kaoru's eyes.

"Can you..." Hikaru forced a laugh.

"I...I caused you so much pain...I'm sorry I love both of you...I just think you're both special in your own ways. You're different people but you're both important to me. I...can't decide." I said. Why won't the tears stop? Why must the look on their faces make so me hurt?

"Well..." Kaoru said,looking at his twin in the eye. They nodded at each other.

"I'll never stop loving you, not even after I die. If you can't decide, I'll wait. No matter how long, I'll wait for you to love me. And even if you don't choose me, I'll always keep you in my heart. That, I promise you, (Y/N)." They said simultaneously. Tears flowed faster. They'd do something like that for a girl who carelessly broke heir heart...

One day, I swear I'll decide. But in the meantime...

I'll stay happy with both of them.
