Denki sat as his desk for over an hour, he sighed and gave up a few minutes later,
"Why?" Denki asked to no one in particular. He held his hand up, it was shaking like crazy, when he was younger, and couldn't hold much electricity, it only did this when a storm was nearby.
But since he increased his storage of electricity, the shaking happened constantly. His whole body would tremble if a storm came. One was a few days away, he'd have to go away for a little, or else others would get hurt.
"Yo Kami!" A familiar shark entered Denki's room, Denki quickly stood up and hid his hands in his hoodie, "Sup Kiri? Ya need somethin?" Kirishima sat down, "Kami, you failed the last test. I didn't even here you start until halfway though and you never take notes. You need to take more care in your studies! You can't just be on your phone the entire time!" Denki snapped, he said, voice calm but trembling with anger, "Get out."
Kirishima was confused, "Kami what?" Denki looked up to him, and Kirishima saw the tears forming in his eyes, "I SAID GET OUT!" Denki chucked the essay he was working on at Kirishima who caught it as he was being forced out. The entire Bakusquad was outside, confused as to why they'd heard Denki screaming at him.
"What the fuck did you do to him Shitty Hair?" Bakugou asked, Kirishima sighed, "I told him he needed to work on his studies more, then he got mad and kicked me out." The two went to the common room to talk to the others about it.
Hakagure, who'd been checking the weather app, said,
"His quirk is Electricity Right?" The squad nodded, "There's supposed to be an electrical storm all week, it's a nasty one. Maybe that's why his grades have been failing recently." They all thought about it, "Maybe." Kirishima sighed.
"Hey, isn't that Kaminari's homework file?" Sero asked Kirishima. "Yeah, he tossed it at me trying to get me to leave." The squad opened it and saw a messy scrawl of handwriting, a sentence or two barely being done.
"Didn't Kami leave to do his work right after school? It's 6:30, no way it took him that long just to do a few sentences."
Denki had come downstairs to get food and apologize. He'd had enough, "You know when you have a lot of energy and you can't keep from moving or trembling?" He asked loudly, unaware that Aizawa had joined for his weekly check up on the kids, "And how my quirk is Electricity? Before we started messing with the natural boundaries my body set, I didn't have any trouble, but now." Denki had to stop to set down his bowl quickly, but was too late and it fell from his trembling hands, "N-now m-my b-body h-has a-an o-overl-load o-of e-energ-gy. I-I c-can't-t w-write, p-pay at-ttenttion, o-or e-even s-sleep, w-well, b-better th-than b-before."
Aizawa grabbed Denki's hands, pulling them away from the glass shards he'd been trying to pick up.
"Kaminari, you are just as important as any of the others, don't try to keep things like this hidden from us. How else can we help you?" Denki sensed the storm had arrived so he quickly pushed Aizawa off him yelled a quick apology and raced off before Aizawa could trap him.
The entire class ran after Denki but found him slowing down in an empty field, electricity jumped off him in waves, and the class hid back in the trees that surrounded the clearing.
Denki took a deep breath and removed his hoodie and shirt, unknowingly showing his burn scars to the entire class.
"H-here c-comes th-the l-lightn-ning-g." Lightning struck Denki multiple times and as Denki cried out in pain, he was sending out his own lightning to try to prevent his eventual overload.
"AUGH!"
With that last cry of pain, the storm moved away, leaving the city and going to plague another place. Denki could barely move, he was in so much pain it hurt to even think.
"KAMINARI!" He heard Aizawa yell out, and as soon as Aizawa reached him, Izuku and Bakugou held his hands back, "Never touch burns directly after they've occurred." Bakugou said bluntly.
"It causes it to blister more and causes even more pain, Iida, go get Recovery Girl and the First Aid kit I keep in my room." Aizawa wanted to question how the two boys knew so much but then remembered Bakugou's quirk and his relationship with Izuku.
Denki's whimpering brought Aizawa back to reality.
"No matter how many times I do this, it hurts just as bad the next time it happens." Aizawa questioned him, "So this has happened before?" Denki nodded then whimpered, "Everytime I'm close to an overload or a major storm enters the area lightning comes after me, so I have to go to a secluded place to let off electricity and that's usually how I do it. Mum and Pops don't care. Were glad to be rid of me too."
Around that time, Iida and RG arrived and took care of Denki's injuries,
"He'll heal up in about a month completely, a week if he allows me to use my quirk every time he regains energy." Denki nodded and said, "Do it now, I've got energy to kill but no way to kill it."
Denki was fine within a week and the entire class kept an eye on him, Izuku helped take his notes, Shinsou replaced Mineta and became his Boyfriend, he was turning out alright again. But they all knew, it was only until the next storm came and Denki had to go through all that again and again until they found a way to stop it, but it was doubtful they ever would.
