The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is one of my favorite games if not my favorite. I love the story very much, and I was very excited when they announced a dlc with more stories attached to the game. The DLC is known as the champions Ballad, however despite the name the story will take place after the games main quest. It picks up where the game leaves off. There has been some Dlc footage and I think this is still in the process of development.

The first clip shows Zelda riding to the flight range with 2 other soldiers. That's great but we wanna look closer at the footage. If you look to the left you can see a shrine that wasn't activated. In the game we know only Link can activate the shrines, so what can this tell us. Is the footage from the past or present in the game. I believe it is in the present, because the shrines appeared when Link activated the first tower. Not only that but to get them to glow Link had to use the Sheikah slate. Soooooo that should be a dead give away that this dlc is in the present. Also the next clip shows Zelda in the Gerudo throne room. If you've played the game than you know that Riju is found there. It seems like the places that Zelda was visiting were the same places we found the champion descendants or family members. As we know this Dlc is called the champions ballad. However what could this mean? What does Zelda want with Riju and Teba? In the ending of breath of the wild after you collected all of the memories and defeated Gannon Zelda will say that Divine beast Vah Rita had stopped working. She told Link that they were heading to Zora's Domain first to see what was wrong and offer closure to Mipha's father. However that does not answer the question so here's what I think. I think Zelda wants Riju, Teba, Sidon, and Yunaboo to be the new champions of the divine beasts. My theory is that the champions spirits were the only things keeping the divine beasts working after completing each of their dungeons. So when they left, it would only make sense that they would stop working. So who better to pilot them than the ones who helped free them. I also think that there will be more mentions of the champions even perhaps another memory of them. Anyways I've very excited about this up coming Dlc and look forward to playing it.
