Kotaro Lives Alone gave a lot of "relaxing" vibes. It looked cute and wholesome. When watching I was utterly yet pleasantly surprised by the contents: charming characters with touching and relatable stories. It is the core of the story; one of its most important themes which grabs your attention: child abuse. It's presented it a rather realistic way and coupled with how our main character Kotaro is linked to it, how he negotiates his scarred life despite his young age is... heartbreaking. However, the overall wholesomeness and the good note on which the anime ended were great; left me wanting for more. "
