Oneshot #5: 100-Reads Special Part 1/3

Situation: Erina is never tasked to oversee Souma's entrance exam and will now first meet him in class.

The day after Souma had gotten into Polar Star Dormitory. Souma was walking in the hallway, looking for Room 116. He scratched his head. "Man...this school is huge, how does anyone navigate through this place." Souma sighed. "Are you a new student?" Souma looked towards the direction of the voice and saw a blonde girl. Her amethyst eyes pierced his amber ones, her voluptuous chest and vanilla-scented hair competing for his mind's attention and leaving him dazed.

"You ok?..." Erina asked, thinking she did something wrong. "S-Sorry! I am new actually. I just passed the entrance exam yesterday." Souma smiled at her. "Mm, if I remember correctly, you're the only one to pass." Erina looked deep in thought before speaking. "Hey, do you know who I am?"

"Should I?..." Souma tilted his head. 'Perfect! Everyone else acts fake towards me just because of my grandfather but since he doesn't know me...this will be just like that Shoujo manga!' Erina thought with a smirk. "No, no, just asking." Erina laughed. "Well, I'm looking for Room 116. I think it's French Cuisine with Roland Chapelle." Souma said. "Oh, we have the same first class." Erina informed him as she began to lead him to the class.

"Ah, Erina. You must be the new student, Souma Yukihira." Roland said sternly as Erina went to her seat. "That's me." Souma said. "Well, since you already know Erina, you may sit with her." Roland said, pointing towards Erina's table in the back. Souma nodded and went to sit next to the blonde. He felt glares from the other students, most likely because he was sitting with a hot girl, at least that's what he thought.

"Now that all of you are here, I want you to cook a French dessert, you have 1 hour, 45 minutes." Roland said and started a timer. "What dessert should we make Erina?" Souma asked. "Crepe, here, go get 1/2 cup of flour, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of water, 1/8 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of butter." Erina said, rather bossy.

"O-Ok..." He said, taken aback a little. Souma obeyed Erina and gathered everything she requested. "Shall we begin?" Erina asked Souma, who wasn't listening and already started to bake. He whisked the eggs with some flour in a bowl, adding milk and water. He finished whisking and began stirring. 'I can't blame him for not following my orders since he doesn't know who I am...' Erina sighed.

Souma finished the batter with the salt and butter. "Erina, let's go get some fruit to make a filling." Souma said. Erina nodded and they went to the pantry. "Good luck making a sweet crepe with sour batter." A student snickered as he poured some lemon juice into the batter and mixed it.

Souma and Erina came back with an assortment of fruit to make a filling and topping for the crepe. "Let's cook the batter." Souma reached to grab the bowl when Erina stopped him. Erina dipped her index finger gently into the white batter and licked it. Erina's lips puckered at the taste. "Someone sabotaged us, as suspected." Erina looked a bit angry but kept her cool. "Hmm..." Souma was thinking. "Don't worry Souma, if we just explain what happened, we'll pas-." Erina was cut off by Souma. "That's it! Thanks, Erina!" Souma untied the cloth from his arm and tied it around his head. "Y-You're welcome?..." Erina was left confused as Souma ran back to the pantry.

"Only 30 minutes left God Tongue, you have nothing to serve. They may let you slide in other classes but this guy...you're done for Erina!" A boy cackled. "They call you the God Tongue, if you show me what that tongue do, I'll give you some of our dessert~." He said, giving of creep vibes.

In the blink of an eye, Souma filled the distance between Erina and the boy, knife in hand. "If you wanted to taste our batter, you could've just asked me instead of Erina." Souma smirked. The boy smirked and agreed, giving the batter a taste. The smirk was wiped off his face when he tasted the batter, it's sweetness was still intact and it was damn good.

"H-How?! I poured lemon juice in it, how is it still sweet?!" He yelled. "Simple. Vanilla. It's sweetness combated your sourness and the vanilla flavor masks the lemon flavor." Souma smirked as the boy growled, walking away. "Where did you think to use vanilla?" Erina asked. Souma took a handful of Erina's hair and sniffed it. "Your hair." Souma said, unfazed by his actions. Souma noticed Erina blushing bright red and felt the entire class's attention on him.

"Hehe..." He awkwardly laughed. "Ask next time..." Erina muttered. "Eh?" Souma questioned. "Ask next t-time you wanna smell my hair..." Erina hid her face from him. "You got it." Souma smirked as he poured the batter into an oiled pan and set a 2-minute timer.

In the meantime, Souma made strawberry cream cheese with cheese, sugar, and strawberries. Souma pulled out the finished crepe, spread the cream cheese evenly before placing berries inside it, and rolling it up. "The time is up! Bring your dishes here!" Roland said. Souma plated the dish and brought it up, alongside Erina.

"Hmm...A crepe. Basic." He said, judging Souma's choice is dessert. "I assure you, this crepe is anything but basic." Souma smirked. Roland lowly growled and took a bite. 'What?! H-How can this hold so much flavor?! The vanilla flavor is powerful but is balanced out by the fruit inside but how did he make the vanilla so strong?!' Roland thought. "What did you use to make the vanilla so strong?" Roland asked.

"I didn't use anything, some person put lemon juice in my batter so it made my vanilla flavor more powerful." Souma smirked, quickly glancing towards the boy. The students suddenly looked shocked. Roland was smiling as he ate the rest of Souma's dish. "S-Souma! You just made 'The Chef That Doesn't Smile'...well, smile!" Erina said, excited. "Glad you liked it!" Souma said, untying his headband. "Everyone will receive an A today since if I ate anything after that dish, it would fail." Roland decided, making everyone cheer.

"W-Wow...that was impressive." Erina said. "Oh really? I guess..." Souma shrugged. "You're good looking-, I mean good at cooking!" Erina blushed. Souma smirked and burst out laughing. "S-Stop laughing, b-baka!" Erina blushed even more. "See you around Erina." Souma said, about to leave for his next class. "W-Wait! You should come over after school, you'll need help with homework." Erina grabbed his hand.

"Homework? Ok then, I'll be there!" He gave her a thumbs up and walked off to his next class. 'Oh yeah...I don't know where she lives...' Souma sweatdropped and laughed. The day continued like normal and the final bell rang.

Souma took a deep breath and was the last to leave. He found Erina waiting at the exit. "Erina?" Souma questioned her. "I-I got out of class early...and you don't know where I live." Erina stuttered. "Ok, let's go." Souma said, not questioning why Erina got out early, making her sigh in relief.

Erina and Souma walked the path to her mansion. "Your house is on school grounds?" Souma asked. "U-Uh, yeah!" Erina said, scared Souma might find out she was famous and start treating her differently. No one had ever treated Erina like a friend, besides Alice. Not even Hisako treated her like a friend, more like a master which made sense of course. "That's cool." Souma said as he admired the scenery absentmindedly.

Erina's hand gravitated towards Souma's hand abstractedly. Souma felt Erina's fingers wiggle their way in between Souma's and smirked. 'This girl is rather interesting...I wonder if she could make it more obvious she's interested in me!' Souma started laughing, catching Erina's attention. "What? D-Did I do something stupid?..." Erina blushed. "You could say that." Souma squeezed her hand, making Erina blush and quickly pull away. "You know Erina...holding hands in pretty much a naked embrace~." Souma teased.

A/N: If you get the reference, you's a OG, or a fellow degenerate

"B-Baka! I-It's not even c-close to being that!" Erina blushed. Souma stopped in his tracks upon seeing a huge mansion in front of him. "Is that your house?! It's huge!" Souma's jaw dropped. "U-Uh...yeah?" Erina squeaked. "That's so cool!" Souma fanboyed at the thought of owning such a large house.

Erina sighed in relief as they entered her house. Souma was amazed by how regal the inside of her house looked. "Wow...you must have a lot of money." Souma looked in awe as he sat on her couch. "Who's this boy Erina?" A white-haired girl asked Erina. "Oh, he's a friend from class that I invited to...h-help with his h-homework!" Erina got embarrassed, making Souma a bit confused. "Oh? Nice to meet you, I'm Erina's cousin, Alice Nakiri." Alice extended her hand to Souma, who shook it and smirked.

Alice pulled Souma into her and whispered into his ear. Souma nodded and Alice let go of his hand and walked away. "W-What did she say?..." Erina asked jealously. "Nothing~." Souma teased and snickered. Erina pouted and told him to get out his homework. Souma nodded and pulled out some pieces of paper. Erina began to tell him cooking facts to help him with the assignments. After an hour or two of hard work, Souma finished. They had moved to Erina's room at this time and both laid on the bed.

"Thanks for the help! You're pretty smart Erina!" Souma laughed. "O-Of course! You expect anything less?" Erina smirked as she stood up and wiped her hands on her skirt as if to unwrinkle it.

"Of course not!" Souma hopped up, smirking. They both began walking towards the door until Erina suddenly grabbed Souma's hand, pulling him into a kiss. Souma was shocked as Erina's lips slid over his softly. Souma melted into the kiss and even wrapped his arm around her back.
