Ship: Nagisa Shiota X Kaede Kayano

Anime/Manga: Assassination Classroom

Situation: Nagisa and Kaede go to the same High School and there is a school dance. Karma and Rio brew up some hijinks to get Nagisa and Kaede to go to the dance together. (The time skip isn't canon to this one-shot)

"Hey! Hurry up Kaede, we're gonna be late!" Rio Nakamura yelled back to her green-haired friend who was lagging behind.

"S-Sorry! I'm just feeling sluggish today, go on without me!" Kaede yelled and stop to talk a breath. Rio continued towards their new high school. After going so close in Koro-Sensei's Assassination Classroom, most of them decided to attend the same high school, Ansatsu High.

"Hey! Kaede!" Someone yelled and waved as they walked up to her. Kaede turned and immediately noticed a duo of boys with blue and red hair.

"Nagisa, Karma, what's up?" Kaede gave Nagisa a warm smile and Karma snickered.

"I never pegged you as someone to be late Nagisa." Karma laughed and Nagisa sighed.

"I forgot to set my alarm last night..." He sweatdropped as they heard the bell ring and bolted for the front door to try and maybe only miss a couple minutes of class. Today was their first day as a freshman and this was a rather bad impression but none of the 3 were worried since they had learned from Koro-Sensei. Most 3-E students could skip Freshman or Freshman and Sophomore year altogether and be Straight-A students.

"Welcome class, I'm Mrs. Erina." The teacher introduced herself and Nagisa was reminded of Bitch-Sensei.

'I hope Mr. Karasuma and Mrs. Bitch are happy...' Nagisa dazed off and reminisced of the old days at Kunugigaoka Junior High School.

"Hey! Are you paying attention, Mr. Shiota! This is important!" Mrs. Erina yelled and Nagisa looked at the board and spouted off answer after answer. Karma began to die of laughter in the back as Mrs. Erina blushed a bit. "V-Very good..."

The class continued like normal and then break arrived.

"Hey, wanna come to eat with me, Karma, and Rio?" Nagisa approached Kaede's desk as she was packing up her stuff.

"Of course!" Kaede said and Nagisa led her to where they were eating. Kaede began to imagine if they had been alone. Kaede had a crush on the feminine boy for a while but she was shy and didn't want to get in the way of his career path. Nagisa was completely oblivious since he never had thought a girl would ever fall for him.

"Hey, you two babes wanna sit with us?" Karma teased Nagisa for looking like a girl like always.

"Yeah yeah...I'm coming Karma." Nagisa laughed it off and Karma passed him some food he didn't like."So how are you Kaede?" Rio asked her.

"Oh, I'm a lot better thanks to Koro-Sensei, I'm glad I could release all that stress, it really took a toll on me." Kaede sighed.

"I'm glad you're better Kaede." Nagisa smiled and Kaede blushed a bit.

"So, did you guys like our new Bitch-Sensei?" Karma joked and they laughed.

"Too bad it's not the real thing, I kind of miss her. Maybe we can send her an email or something to check up on her." Rio said.

"Yeah, the class would be more fun with that bitch." Karma added.

"Hey, the welcome dance is tomorrow." The group heard the student's behind him mention something about a dance to welcome the new students to Ansatsu High.

"Ooh~." Rio and Karma instantly locked eyes and a large smirk grew on both of their mouths.

"Oh, Nagisa~." Karma said in a singsong tone.

"Y-Yeah?" He said, almost afraid of what Karma wanted.

"Why don't all 4 of us go to the dance? Rio, you could be my date so Nagisa, you get Kaede." Karma said.

"Good idea! I'd be glad to go with you." Rio winked at Karma and he held back a laugh.

"Sure, do you wanna go Kaede?" Nagisa asked her and she stuttered and turned bright red.

"U-Uh...if you 3 want to go, I'll go too." Kaede finally got out, steam coming from her head.

"Ok! Let's meet outside the school 30 minutes before the dance starts, if someone is late, we won't wait, deal?" Karma added. They all agreed right before lunch ended and they went their separate ways. The day ended well and Nagisa was leaving school when he received a text.

Karma: hey gender

Karma: come by my place in a bit and lets go shop for shit to wear

Nagisa: sure

Nagisa: be there in 10 mins

Nagisa closed his phone and began walking towards his best friend's house. Upon arriving, he knocked and Karma threw the door open.

"Hey best buddy! Better have brought your wallet because I'm broke..." Karma comedically looked down in sadness.

"Yes..." Karma's eyes lit up. "...but I'm not buying you anything." Karma fell over.

"Nagisa, you girlish asshole!" Karma choked Nagisa and he slapped his leg.

"Ok ok! I'll buy you something!" Nagisa yelled and Karma let him go.

"Thanks best buddy!" He snickered.

"You better pay me back..." Nagisa sighed and Karma laughed before leading him to a nearby mall. Karma and Nagisa stared at lots of suits.

"Hey Nagisa! Look at this one!" Karma pointed to a long, blue dress with lots of sparkles and sequins.

"Karma...I'm gonna kill you." Nagisa muttered.

"Oh~? Is that a challenge?" Karma narrowed his eyes and walked towards him, his footsteps leaving no sound. Nagisa did the same until they were glaring into each other's eyes. Then they both began to laugh and went to buy a red and blue suit. The school dance was now only a few hours away and Nagisa was getting ready. He had got his hair into his signature look since he hadn't cut it yet and got into his blue suit.

'I think I look good.' Nagisa thought.

"Good luck on your date!" Nagisa's mom began to cry and talk about how her little boy was growing up.

'To think only a while ago she was controlling and now she's happy for me...' Nagisa thanked her and grabbed his phone before heading out. He walked for a while until the school was in few. Nagisa felt oddly nervous but brushed the feeling off and reached the spot they agreed to meet at. After a minute or so, a car pulled up and the door opened.

"Thank you for driving." One of Kaede's sister's friends had agreed to drive her to the school and she stepped out. Kaede wore a long, green , mermaid style, dress with sparkles on the bottom.A/N: Googling Mermaid Style dress will help give an idea of what her dress looks likeHer eyes shone in the light and she had her green hair down.

"Hey Nagisa! Y-You look handsome..." She muttered and Nagisa blushed.

"Yeah, you look good too." Nagisa awkwardly rubbed the back of his head.

"So are we just waiting for Karma and Rio?" Kaede asked.

"Yep..." Nagisa sighed because he thought he had an idea what was going on. Karma and Rio weren't going to be coming due to them arriving early and heading up to the second floor to find a perfect spot to look down and spy on Nagisa and Kaede.

"Good thing we learned to sneak from Koro-Sensei..." Rio sighed as she plopped onto the floor.

"Aren't you just the perfect lady?" Karma teased her for plopping.

"Whatever Karma! Besides, you're not some saint anyways." Rio ruffled his hair.

"Uhuh, why did buy such a fancy dress?" Karma commented on Rio's dress. It was a nice yellow and looked rather pricy.

"I've always wanted it and this is an excuse to get it." Rio said. "What's up with your suit?"

"Well, I might as well go all out if we're gonna prank Gender and Forever Flat." Karma laughed.

"Ok Semi-Senioritis." Rio teased and Karma sighed. Back with Nagisa and Kaede, the time had passed and people were entering the gymnasium.

"I guess we should just go in..." Kaede commented. Nagisa nodded and grabbed her hand. He blushed bright red which he hadn't expected as did Kaede.

"S-Sorry! I probably should've asked first." Nagisa apologized.

"It's fine Nagisa." Kaede smiled at him, which calmed him down more and they walked into the gymnasium together. The gym was illuminated by lights of all colors. People were dancing and others were digging into the snacks.

"Wow...it's my first time going to a dance." Nagisa told Kaede.

"Mine too but I bet we'll have fun." Kaede told him and they walked to the dance floor.

"So uh...do you know how to dance?" Nagisa sheepishly asked.

"I can do a couple moves, think you could follow along?" Kaede challenged Nagisa and he turned white.

"I don't know..." Nagisa muttered.

"Just be light of your feet and imagine you're copying someone to kill them." Kaede hoped saying kill would entice Nagisa and it did.

"Kill? Let's do it." Nagisa said as Kaede began to do some basic movements in rhythm to the song. Nagisa was a bit off at first but he quickly caught up with Kaede.

"Wow, you're a natural Nagisa!" Kaede was impressed by how fast he got the hang of it.

"T-Thanks!" Nagisa continued following her.

"Hey, Nagisa is killing it out there." Rio pointed out.

"He's pretty good. Now I wish I went out there and danced." Karma pouted. Rio laughed.

"Why don't we dance?" She suggested.

"You can dance?" Karma seemed shocked and she hit him.

"I'm kidding, let's dance." Karma laughed and they danced along to the music. Back with Nagisa and Kaede, they had stopped dancing and Nagisa had headed over to the bathroom. When he came back, he noticed two tall boys near Kaede.

"There he is, Nagisa!" Kaede called to her date and the boys laughed.

"H-He's your date?! Is that even a he?" He laughed even more, making Kaede upset and Nagisa awkwardly laugh.

"Listen kid, I'm going to give your date an actual good experience." He said.

"I don't think you could." Nagisa said blankly and the boy looked back, angry.

"You messed the wrong dude, no one disobeys Ijime." Another boy said. Ijime stepped towards Nagisa and punched him, sending him skidding on the dance floor.

"What a loser!" Ijime laughed. He stepped forward and Kaede got between them.

"Don't hurt him!" Kaede yelled.

"Sorry, no can do." He went to slap Kaede but Nagisa was suddenly in front of him and had his arm in a tight grip.

"She wasn't talking to you." Nagisa gave him a genuine smile. Ijime growled and five of his friends joined in and surrounded Nagisa. Meanwhile, Karma and Rio continued dancing.

"Think Kaede confessed yet?" Rio asked.

"Think Nagisa realized he likes her? I'm guessing no to both." Karma smirked.

"Why are you so bent on getting them together Karma?" Rio asked.

"Well...love is important to me and I guess it pisses me off that they won't just take the leap." Karma sighed.

"I see...maybe it pisses you off because you don't have that chance?" Rio inquired and Karma missed his step and tripped, falling on top of Rio.

"I- uh-." Karma blushed.

"You're kind of cute up close." Rio leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, making him turn red. Their moment was interrupted when they heard the boys threaten Nagisa.

"Go save your ship Karma." Rio teased and Karma stuck his tongue out at her before jumping down. One boy rushed Nagisa and he sidestepped and flew right into Karma's awaiting fist.

"Mind if I take your partner for a spin Nagisa?" Karma smirked.

"I take it I don't have a choice." Nagisa shrugged. Karma grabbed one boy's arm and twisted it behind his back and threw him onto the boy he had punched, defeating them both. Two boys rushed Nagisa and he grabbed one's arms and flipped him. Nagisa punched the other in the chest and swung him over towards Karma, who roundhouse kicked him in the jaw and knocked him out cold.

"That was too easy, I knew these dances weren't exciting anyways so it's my fault for getting my hopes up." Karma sighed and Ijime growled. He ran towards Nagisa but was promptly kicked in the balls by Kaede and Karma and Nagisa winced.

"That was for insulting Nagisa." Kaede huffed. Suddenly, they realized everyone was staring at the show they had put on and Kaede blushed.

"Oi Nagisa, let's skedaddle." Karma said and Nagisa nodded, grabbing Kaede's hand and fleeing the scene. Karma also left and met Rio outside the building. Nagisa and Kaede ran for a while and decided to head to Nagisa's house.

"Sorry about that." Nagisa bowed and apologized to Kaede.

"Why are you always apologizing, it's fine..." Kaede blushed.

"O-Oh...well our night was still a bit ruined. We only did one dance." Nagisa sighed.

"W-Well we can dance here right?" Kaede suggested. Nagisa nodded and Kaede pulled out her phone and played a slow song.

"I don't know how to slow dance Kaede." Nagisa told her and she shook her head.

"That's fine Nagisa, just follow my lead." Kaede explained. Kaede wrapped her arm around his neck and Nagisa wrapped his arm around her waist and they began to move back and forth.

"Hey, this isn't too hard." Nagisa smiled, enjoying dancing with Kaede.

"N-Nagisa..." Kaede blushed bright red.

"Yes Kaede?" Nagisa inquired.

"I-I really like you...I know you want to focus on your career goals and this is selfish but I don't wanna regret anything." Kaede let out a sigh of relief.

"E-Eh...you like me?" Nagisa was a bit surprised.

"Of course! Ever since you k-kissed me that day..." Kaede blushed thinking about it.

"I thought you'd be mad about that." Nagisa sweatdropped.

"N-No! I kind of enjoyed it..." Kaede blushed, surprised she was just spilling everything out.

"O-Oh...I'm glad!" Nagisa smiled.

"W-Well..." Kaede squirmed.

"I don't know if I like you Kaede. I'm sorry, that's probably not what you wanted to hear but you're a great girl, I'd be honored if you'd go on a date with me first." Nagisa asked.

"O-Of course! I'd love to Nagisa!" Kaede said and hugged Nagisa tight. With Karma and Rio, they were still outside, at a nearby park.

"That was more fun than expected." Karma sighed.

"What part?" Rio teased.

"You still think I'll be embarrassed by that?" Karma laughed.

"Don't try and-." Rio was cut off by Karma kissing her. Rio turned bright red, even more than Karma's hair.

"Now who's embarrassed." Karma cackled.
