Situation: In this alternate universe, Souma has a devil inside him and at night, he must eat humans.

"Hey, is this thing on? How do I-? Oh! It's already recording. Hello, my name is Souma Yukihira and in a world full of humans, I am a demon. Most people think humans have no natural predators and they would be wrong. My father, Joichiro Yukihira, is the demon king and he escaped from hell years ago and had a child with a human, aka me! Anyways, I sorta lied at the beginning since I'm only half a demon, I don't burn in the sunlight like my dad but I'm not normal like my mom unfortunately. I require human flesh to survive so at night, I hunt down humans and eat them but don't worry! I only eat people who deserve it. Why am I recording this? Well, today is a huge day for me! It's June 13th and that marks Kari. I'm going to go out at night to hunt for at least 10 humans and then I'll have to find a human to mate with. I don't really know who I'll mate with or who I'll eat but uh...I'll figure it out!"

Souma turned off his video camera and shoved it in his bag before running off to attend his classes. By night, a heartless and bloodthirsty demon, by day, a straight-A student at Totsuki Academy. When Souma was a kid, his mom taught him how to cook and his dad continued teaching him after her...accident.

"Hey, Souma! I'm holding a party tonight, you wanna come?" A boy asked him.

"Nah, can't tonight!" Souma said. He popped open his locker and stuffed his backpack in. Around the corner, a huge boy came walking towards Souma. His name was Ijimeru and he bullied a lot of kids in school. Souma couldn't really do anything since he didn't want attention on him, being a demon and all.

"Hey, Souma! How ya doing?" Ijimeru snickered as he pushed him to the ground. Souma pretended to be hurt by the push and grab his arm.

"What a loser!" Ijimeru laughed and noticed something shine in his backpack. He dug through it and pulled out his camera.

"Ooh~! What could this be? Are you filming a movie?" He was about to look at what was on the camera. Souma yelped and hopped on his feet. He dashed over and punched the kid in the face with a nasty right hook, knocking him onto the floor and leaving him unconscious.

"Shit...shit...shit..." Souma grabbed his bag and ran off as his lackeys went to go tell a teacher. Souma ran towards the stairwell and headed towards the roof.

'What should I do?! A lot of kids saw me knock that kid out in a single punch! They'll know I'm not human and experiment on me...' Souma was slowly freaking out.

'Maybe I could skip town or maybe I could-...no. I'm a demon. If they do anything drastic, I'll eat them.' Souma began to take deep breaths. He stood up and went to class. The day went on normally and no one questioned anything, in fact, no one even brought up the incident. Souma's final class ended and he headed home. Upon reaching the dorm, he ran to his room and locked the door. He threw his stuff on the floor and changed his clothes into shorts and a tank top.

"Ok! 1 more hour and it'll be time!" Souma could barely handle his excitement as Kari was important in every young demon's life. In another house on the campus, two girls chatted.

"Did you already finish your homework, Erina?" Erina's assistant asked her.

"Yeah, I did it in class since it was boring today. Did you hear the rumor Souma knocked someone out?" Erina asked Hisako.

"You're obsessed with that boy..." Hisako sighed and Erina blushed.

"I-I'm not obsessed! I-I just asked if y-you heard the rumor..." Erina twirled her hair.

"Yeah, I think everyone did but now they are scared to ask the truth." Hisako laughed.

"Yeah, I wonder if it true. He could be really strong..." Erina daydreamed about Souma with bulging muscles.

"Having indecent thought again miss?" Hisako giggled.

"N-No! I don't know what you're talking about." Erina blushed crimson.

"Well, you could always skip that party everyone is attending. I assume he won't be so you'll be alone." Hisako teased.

"W-Well...it's not an awful idea but you assume I like him so why would I do that!" Erina shut her door. An hour had passed and Souma was ready to hunt. He opened his window and hopped onto his window sill.

"Ok! The best spot to eat 10 humans is the park!" Souma headed out into the night to find humans. Erina had walked to Polar Star Dormitory and asked Fumio if Souma was home. She declined and said she heard something about Souma going to the park. Erina thanked her and began to head towards the park nearby. During this time, Souma had devoured 9 humans. Erina turned left and she stopped in her tracks. She saw Souma eating his 10th and final human. Blood flew as Souma ripped into his stomach with his teeth.

"S-Souma?" Erina called to him and his head jolted back and catch her eyes.

"Erina...what are you doing here?" Souma called to her coldly and stood up, blood staining his clothes.

"I-I wanted to see you...what did you do Souma?..." Erina asked, tears slipping from her eyes.

"I-I...well it's hard to explain." Souma laughed.

"Y-You killed him! Why did you kill him?!" Erina yelled.

"I had to, it's part of my life as a demon." Souma smiled at her which was almost eerie to her.

"A-Are you crazy? You aren't a demon, demons don't exist." Erina yelled to him.

"But they do. They have superhuman strength and speed." Souma said and Erina thought back to the rumors and it sorta clicked in her mind.

"Y-You're really a demon...a real-life demon..." Erina was in shock.

"In the flesh. You haven't run away yet." Souma pointed out.

"U-Uh well...I'm kind of shocked..." Erina blushed.

"I would assume so but you aren't running away, in fact, you don't even seem scared." Souma noticed and Erina blushed.

"U-Uh well...I-I guess not..." Erina stuttered. Souma took a step forward and she didn't even flinch.

"What the hell is wrong with you?..." Souma was genuinely confused at her calmness.

"U-Uh, that's rather rude!" Erina yelled at him and waved her finger.

"You're actually not terrified of me!" Souma's eyes gleamed.

"O-Of course not! I-It only makes sense you'd be a demon since you're cooking is devilish." Erina huffed.

"You'll be the perfect mate!" Souma yelled out.

"M-M-MATE?!" Erina blushed dark crimson and fell over from the shock.
