Okay, I decided to make some rants too about anime, since this is an Anime Fun Book :P Also, don't hesitate messaging me or commenting from down here, requesting things and I will try to do them!

Rant #1 - Mary Sues

Okay, I think that everyone had a Mary Sue in our lifes. A family member, close friend, fanfiction character but the most awful from all are... Mary Sues as ANIME CHARACTERS.

For the ones that don't even know what "Being a Mary Sue" is, I will explain to you: They are persons or characters which are made to be PERFECT. Absolutely PERFECT. 

Okay, I know, you may scold me for this, but I have seen maaaannyyy Mary Sues in tons of fanfictions or movies, or even anime. I could have made a rant for all of those, but I will try to make it only for anime this time.

Was there a time that you have watched the 1st episode of an anime and liked the main protagonist who was a girl? Have you thought about "Oh, I really want to be perfect like her!" ? Well, this is until you find that she is a Mary Sue.

For example, there is a girl who had a very difficult childhood but made it and surpassed it without any other traces of her past in the present. She falls in love with a boy from her school but he is inlove with another girl. But in a magical way, she makes him fall in love with her by making everything perfect; even dressing perfect. 

Not bad until now, right? But this is unless you realize that this anime girl is exactly like the girls that are POPULAR IN YOUR SCHOOL. THE GIRLS WHO ARE BULLYING YOU, MAKING EVERYONE FALL FOR THEM, RESPECT THEM AND SH*T LIKE THAT.

But what is the worst part about it is that they exist in anime. You think they don't but read that:

Almost all (female) shoujo maincharacters. They're either very strong or are able to fix everything by just giving speeches, have multiple guys to choose from (always the most popular ones making it more unrealistic), atleast one parent is dead or missing (very few exceptions), everyone who doesn't like her is hated (although they do become friends in the end or something) 

If you don't believe that, here are some examples:

> Orihime Inoue from Bleach

> Tohru from Fruits Basket

> Yuki from Vampire Knight

> Hikari from Special A

> Misa Amane from Death Note

> Lenalee from D. Gray Man

Don't they have some same things between them? Well, that's because they are all Mary Sues. I know I must have made you to leave this rant by now, but Mary Sues in anime are just horrible.
