Menna continuously waited 3 whole weeks for Sai to return, yet nothing showed up. Nobody even got a glimpse of him before he did except for one person... which remained a secret.
Naruto walked around the village, Kiba by his side and Akamaru trotting along his fluffy white tail moving around in the dirt.

"Have you heard Sai's gone missing?", Naruto asked, hands in his pockets. Kiba nods.

"At this rate, we're barely going to have anybody at the festival this year..."

"Naruto it's like that every year. A few people go missing, then one or two people officially die on the day of the festival. And haven't you noticed it's usually the people you hang around? Sai... Itachi used to hang around you even though he killed himself... now Shisui", Kiba informed, his hand softly scratching his dog's head.

Naruto blinked then gasped. "You are right!! Soon Sasuke will be dead or possibly missing as well!!"

The Inuzuka laughed. "Why are you so intrigued in Sasuke, huh? What? Do you like him?", he asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

"I... don't actually know..."

"You do"

"Shut up"

Akamaru barked three times, as the blonde looked at his friend to translate it for him.

"He says he agrees with me.."

Naruto groaned, his cheeks flushing a mixture of pink and red.

"Look Akamaru! You're even blushing!"

"Shut.Up!"

"So you do?"

"Alright I do! I do okay!? Get away and stop teasing me! My blush did nothing to you!", he says, covering his cheeks to hide his blush. Kiba bursts out laughing, wiping an imaginary tear from his eyes.

Akamaru smiled.

"Comedy gold...", the brown haired male says, his laughter dying down. Akamaru looked across the dirt road seeing Sasuke talking to a guy named Gaara.

Akamaru bit Naruto's leg then pushed him towards the both of them.

"A-Akamaru?! What are you doing?!", the Uzumaki exclaimed.
Gaara then bid farewell to Sasuke and walked off. Suddenly the blonde bumped into the Uchiha, making him squeak.

"U-Um... Hi Sasuke!"

"Hi...?"
Naruto gave a cheeky grin then tried to step back but Akamaru kept him in his place. The raven blinked in confusion as he stares at the white dog. Akamaru sniffs Sasuke for a moment, testing his scent. Suddenly he began to growl, his fur standing on end.

The dog began to bark continuous at the Uchiha, snarl and growl. Apparently, the Inuzuka's dog had gotten a whiff of Sai's scent and blood on him.
Kiba rushed over to Akamaru, picked him up and carried him away, though he was squirming a lot.

"Akamaru! What's wrong with you, boy?!", Kiba whisper yells. His canine companion barked several times causing the male to blink.

"You think Sasuke's the reason Sai's missing? What makes you think that?"

Akamaru barked several times.

"You smelled his blood and scent on him, huh?..."

Both the blonde and the raven blinked in confusion.

"What was that about?", Naruto asks.

Sasuke shrugged then turned back towards him.

"Don't know. You wanted to tell me something?"

"U-Uh, yeah I kinda sorta.... maybe have a..."

"...?"

"Tiny little bitesized crush on you and yeah..", the Uzumaki covered his face from hiding his expression. There was complete silence except for Naruto's heart which was beating faster and faster.

Sasuke smiles and laughed lightly."Will you calm down? I can hear you're heartbeat for goodness sake"

The blonde stared at him.

"S-so you're not mad?"

"No"

"W-Why not?"

"Because I feel the same way, dummy", he laughed lightly. Naruto felt as if his spirits were high as the sky as he nearly tackled hugged him to the ground.

"So does this mean we're together now?"

"I guess but I'm not putting it my hands. The ball's in your court"
