I had no idea how long I'd been unconscious but when I finally awoke, I was definitely somewhere else. Regaining my senses, I saw I was in a dark place with bars all around me. I had been imprisoned! Irritated, I tried to dig my way out, only to discover I had become human again.

"How come that happened?" I thought aloud,

"I had been a fox when I'd been clubbed and hadn't changed back, so how come I am human?"

A male voice answered,

"They washed your hands. So now you can't travel in the minds of animals."

Startled, I turned around and saw in the prison cell behind me, a boy who looked about 15. He had a black mop of hair, was tall and seemed rather serious.

He asked me,

"How did the Jadecapes get you? I recognize you from my school. Did they attack a second time?"

"Thankfully no. I got here due to a failed rescue mission." I answered him, sighing.

"Failed?" He responded, surprised."You don't appear to be the kind of person who gives up."He continued.

"Really?" I questioned him. "I am nearly always so shy."

He answered,

"Well you appear to have grown in confidence. Something which unfortunately I have not." he sighed.

"My names Jet by the way. I am one of the 10 captured kids from the Louise school." He told me.

After Jet had said that, 8 other voices started talking, telling me about who they were and congratulating me on my bravery. Though I wasn't looking to hear about them, I was desperate to know if Sally and Belle were alright.

I asked Jet,

"Do you know where two girls, Sally and Belle are?"

He responded casually,

"Oh, the Jadecapes put them in the cells over there." he pointed to the far end of the prison.

I asked the girl in the cell next to me if they had recovered and she said she would get them woken up. A few moments later, I heard someone shouting at Sally and Belle to wake them up.

I waited and then I heard Sally call to me,

"Are you okay Melissa?"

"Yes!" I called back, "What about Belle?"

Sally told me she was good and Belle called,

"I guess our plan failed then?"

I said sadly,

"Yes, It has. There's no way we can bust out of this prison."

There was silence in the prison as we all realized there was no way out. I wondered how long we'd be here until we were going to be forced to attempt to do magic for evil again. (I assumed everyone else had already had a round of this because they had been gone from the prisons earlier.) Feeling bored, I stood up in my cell and peeped out of my window covered in spider webs and cobwebs. As I did so, one of the spiders lowered himself from his web on a silken thread, landing on my hand. I was about to shake it off my hand when I saw how small, unnoticeable he was. He suddenly gave me an idea. Looking at the far end of the prison, I also spotted my rucksack, with Creatarr amulets in it, dumped in a cardboard box next to Belle's cell.

"Hey everyone, I have a new escape plan." I told everyone, once checking no Jadecapes were around.

"What is it?" everyone else asked, suddenly a whole lot more interested in me.

"Firstly, Belle, can you reach those boxes next to your cell? Have a try." I commanded.

All eyes were on Belle as she stuck a leg through the prison cells bars and snagged the box with her foot, dragging it as close to her cell as possible. Then, with her arm, she reached for an amulet. She kept reaching until she just managed to grab an amulets chain.

"What do I do now Melissa?" Belle inquired.

"Pass the amulet through the cells until it reaches mine." I continued.
Belle passed it through the cells and everyone passed it along. I waited some time but eventually, the amulet was passed into my cell. Grasping it, I caught the spider and touched it as much as possible.

I then told everyone,
"I am going to become a spider. So do not move please - it risks me being squashed."

Everyone nodded and all eyes were on me as I put on my amulet and closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I was confused.

"Why can I see 360° all around me?" I thought.

Then I remembered spiders have loads of tiny eyes. After a while, I got used to seeing behind and in front of me at the same time, it was actually pretty cool. I sighted the box with the amulets in and effortlessly scuttled between the bars of my prison cell. I walked over to the box with my rucksack in and shut all of my spider eyes. Opening them, I was back to a human and handed everyone in the cells amulets.

I then announced,
"Everyone, for my plan to work, you need to become spiders too. Here's How it'll work, I'll become a spider again, then I will scuttle into each of your cells. Once you spot me, touch me and you can turn into a spider too. Wait for the next instructions."

Everyone agreed and I closed my eyes to become a spider again. I opened my eyes and scuttled into Belle's cell. After she touched me, she turned into a spider as well and I scuttled into the next cell. I did this for some time, until everyone had become a spider.

"What do we do now?" Jet clicked with his spider jaws.

I clicked back,
"We need to go beside the door to get outside the prison. Once there, we need to wait until a Jadecape opens the door and then scuttle outside quickly."

"Got it." Jet clicked, telling everyone else my plan.

Once we all knew, we proceeded to go beside the door and wait. It turned out that we had to wait quite some time, but this was our only chance to get out of this prison. Eventually, we heard the handle turn and saw a Jadecape enter the prison. This was our chance! On the count of 3, we, the army of 12 spiders scuttled out of the door.
