~Chapter Nine : Phase Three Part One~
~Start~

"I apologize for the long wait. This airship will now reach it's destination."

You groaned at the sound of the voice but didn't open your eyes. You felt the someone from your lap getting up and walking away but you didn't care. It was pretty late when you slept last night.

Then, you heard footsteps coming towards you. You felt yourself being shook awake by someone. "(Y/N)! Wake up! We're here!" A familiar voice said.

You struggled to open your eyes to see a blurry vision of a person with black hair. Your blurry vision soon fades into a clear one. You noticed it was Gon.

"Gon...?" You said, sleepily and rubbing your eyes. "Good morning..."

Gon laughed a little. "Good morning to you too!" Gon said with a tint of pink on his cheeks.

You blushed in embarassment. "Oh no! My morning habit is catching up to me! That's so embarassing!" You thought. "Saying 'Good Morning' whenever I woke up is really bad habbit!"

You hid your embarass face from Gon and lucky for you, Gon is oblivious to almost everything so he didn't noticed it.

Gon grinned at you. "(Y/N)! You need to see the third phase exam site!" He said standing up and gesturing you over the window.

You stood up and flinched a little. "My legs are a little numb...Well after sleeping in that position it will no doubt do." You thought as you tried to walk over there without stumbling.

Succesfully going there, you tried to look at the window but you were to short. You pouted. "This sucks..." You thought.

Gon smiled and walked over to you and lift you to his shoulder and carry you with ease. You gasp and about to protest when you got distracted by the third phase exam site.

"Uwaah! What a big tower!" You said in amazement.

After a while of admiring it, you tapped on Gon's head. "Uhmm...Gon?" You said.

"Yeah?" Gon respond.

"Can you put me down?" You asked.

"Nope!" He smiled.

You widen your eyes. "Why not?" You protested.

"After sitting that long and me sleeping on your lap, your legs must've been numb!" Gon said.

"But-!" You tried protesting but he turned his head and looked at you with a serious look. You sighed and gave up. "...Fine..." You sighed.

Gon smiled brightly and the two of you headed towards the door.

Soon, the airship landed on the surface. You were still being carried by Gon in his shoulders and people are giving the two of you, weird looks. "This is embarassing." You thought and look down at Gon. "He doesn't seem to be affected by it though..."

"Gon!" A familiar voice called the both of you.

You squeked as soon as you heard the voice. Gon turned around making you turned around as well. It's Killua.

"Oh, Killua. What's up?" Gon smiled.

"Why are you carrying (Y/N) like that!? You can get mistaken for something else, you know!" Killua said.

"Something else?" Gon asked.

Killua face-palmed. "Whatever, just tell me why are you carrying her like that!"

"I would like to know too." A voice interrupted.

"Kurapika!" You exclaimed as soon as you saw him. You noticed Leorio behind him too. "And Leorio too!"

"I felt like you left me out on that..." Leorio said, sulking silently.

"Sorry, I didn't mean too..." You sweatdropped.

You turned back to look at the three boys that were "Staring" intensily at each other. You looked at each of them and tilted your head in confusion.

In reality, the three boys were actually glaring at each other, atleast in their mind. Well, Kurapika has a poker-face, Killua was showing that he's glaring and Gon was having his way of glaring.

Leorio got up from his corner and noticed the tension between the three of the boys. After a while, Leorio hummed mischievously as he realised what's happening.

"(Y/N)'s legs were numb because she was kneeling while sleeping and I was lying on her lap." Gon answered, suddenly.

"Ah, is that so?" Kurapika said, calmly but in his head was...Something else. "So (Y/N) was sleeping with Gon on her lap?" Kurapika thought.

"You didn't sleep on one of the airship of the room, (Y/N)!?" Killua exclaimed. "And worst, you're sleeping with Gon!?"

You sweatdropped. "We didn't actually sleep with each other, Gon passed out on my lap after making the chairman use his right hand." You explained.

Killua blushed in embarassment as he realised that he was thinking of something else. He turned away with a flushed face. "I-Is that so?" Killua said. "So they were not sleeping with each other..." Killua though

Kurapika quietly sighed in relief. "Thank goodness..." Kurapika thought and widen his eyes. "Wait, why do I feel so relief? Am I happy that they did not snuggled up with each other like I was thinking?" Kurapika thought. "No, am I feeling something for (Y/N)? No, I should not! I cannot feel something for a twelve-year-old little girl! That's wrong!" Kurapika thought as he shook his head.

"Ahem." A fake coughed was heard.

You and your friends, as well as the other applicants turned to the direction where the cough was heard. They saw the man that has a bean head, smiling at them.

"Everyone, the third phase will begin here, at the top of the trick tower." Bean said.

"Trick tower?" One applicants said.

"In order to pass this test, you must reach the tower's base alive." Bean explained. "Now, the third phase will begin now." He said.

You and Gon looked at Killua as he just shrugged.

"I pray for all your safety! Best of luck to everyone." Bean said as the airship flew off.

As childish it is, you waved at the airship then looked down at Gon, who was still carrying you around his shoulders. "Hey, Gon." You called.

"Hmm?" He said, looking up to you.

"You can put me down now. My legs aren't numb anymore." You said.

Gon give you an unsure look. "You sure?" He asked.

"Yeah!" You said, smiling and waving your legs to show him that you're capable to stand now. "See?"

Gon thinked for a second, then smiled slightly. "Okay..." He said as he crouched down.

"Yay!" You cheered as you carefully jumped down on Gon's shoulders. Once you were down, you wathed as Gon stood up abd smiled at him. "Thanks Gon! I feel much better now!" You smiled.

Gon turned pink and smiled. "It's okay!"

Then, you and Gon, along with Killua, Kurapika and Leorio walked to the side of the tower and looked down.

"Are we supposed to climb down?" Leorio asked.

"I think that would be suicide..." Kurapika answered.

"Yeah. For a normal human." A masculine voice said.

You and your friends turned around to see a masculine man. You five watched him as he start to climbed down. "But a top-class rock climber can climb this." He said, going down.

"Wow..." Killua said.

"He's going down pretty fast..." Gon muttered as you nodded.

Then, you all heard a sound of flapping wings. You widen your eyes and turned to looked at your back. Your eyes soften as there was no wings appearing on it. You quietly sighed in relief. "Phew. It's not me...Then, who or what is it?" You thought as you looked around.

You all turned to look at the side to see a flying monster. You widen your eyes and watch as one of the monster eat the climbing down guy, horrified.

"G-Guess we can't climb the sides..." Leorio said as you, Gon, Killua and Kurapika nodded in agreement.

You and the others split up to find another exit to the tower. You were supposed to be finding an exit with a partner, as you all decided but you ended up being on your own. Leorio and Kurapika were already partners from the start as well as Gon and Killua.

You sighed in frustration as you noticed people there were a bunch of people who already found their exit because there were only few people around. "I'm not getting anywhere with this..." You thought.

Then, a light bulb sparked in your head. "I know! I'll use my powers!" You thought as you looked around and shrugged. "I guess I can increase my sense of smell without a pair of ears and a tail appearing on me." You thought.

You sniffed as you used your powers and increase your smell. "Good..." You thought as you close your eyes. "Ah! Found one!" You thought as you walked towards a random trap door with your eyes close.

After a while of walking, you bumped into someone and fell into your butt. "Ow..." You groaned. You looked up and saw Killua looking down at you.

"Geez, you need to watch where your going!" Killua yelled.

You puffed your cheeks. "Sorry, I didn't see you. My eyes were close..." You said.

"Why is it close exactly?" Killua said, crossing his arms over his chest.

You stood up and brushed your bottom. "...No reason..." You said.

"You're weird..." Killua said as he turned around. "But cute..." He muttered.

"Huh? What was that?" You asked because you didn't quite hear.

"N-Nothing!" Killua said, turning red.

"Hmm..." You hummed and looked behind him to see Gon, examining a tile.

"Oh? Gon, I didn't noticed you here!" You said.

"Because Killua was hiding me..." Gon said, pouting.

Killua turned to him. "I didn't!" He protested.

"That's right, Gon! I just didn't see you! Don't blame Killua! Promise, I'll noticed you earlier next time!" You said.

Gon looked up, pouting for a while then, smiled slightly. "Fine..." He said, going back to the tile.

You and Killua sweatdropped. "He...Doesn't like to be ignored...Do he?" You whispered to Killua.

"Seems like it..." Killua whispered back.

"Anyway, this looks to be a trap door!" Gon said as he pushed the tile.

"Ah, you're right!" You exclaimed. "So, this is the trap door I smelled." You thought.

You looked up to see Kurapika and Leorio wandering. "Ah! It's Kurapika and Leorio! Let's call them!" You exclaimed. "Kurapika! Leorio! Gon found a trap door!" You called.

Leorio and Kurapika turned as they heard your voice. They ran towards the three of you, smiling.

"Great! Good job, Gon!" Leorio cheered. As he was about to jump, Killua spoke up.

"Wait, we can't jump in yet." Killua said.

You, Kurapika and Leorio looked at him, confuse. "Why not?" You asked.

"Earlier, Gon and I saw a guy who entered a trap door. We tried to open it again but we can't. It seems like each trap door can only be used once." Killua explained.

You hummed in understanding. "So, what do we do now?" You asked.

Gon smiled. "Don't worry! There's another trap door there, there, there, over there and there as well."

You widen your eyes. "Gon has good instincts...I didn't even realised there were so many..." You thought.

Kurapika thought about it. "Six hidden trap doors in the same location, huh?" He wondered. "It feels like one or two of them are traps. It's suspicious."

You smiled. "Well, we won't know until we try it! Let's split up!" You suggested.

"That's what Gon and I decided from the beginning." Killua said, smiling.

"No hard feelings if one of us springs a trap!" Gon said.

You grinned at them and looked at the Kurapika and Leorio. "How about you, guys?" You asked.

"I can live with that. Luck is part of the game after all..." Leorio said, smiling.

"I have no objection here. That settles it." Kurapika said, smiling as well.

You all picked a trap door and stand next to it. You smiled at all of them while they were smiling back.

"Let's go in a count of three." Leorio suggested.

You nodded and prepare to jumped to jump onto the trap door.

"I guess this is goodbye for now!" Gon said.

"We'll meet at the tower's base." Kurapika said.

"Let's go..." Killua started. "One!"

"Two!" Gon said.

"Three!" You continued as everybody jumped onto their own trap door as well as you.

You perfectly landed on the ground as well as everybody else. Well, except for Leorio who landed face first. You had to wonder how did he landed on his face when you were sure that he jumped on the trap door bottom first. But either way, being the good girl you are, you ran to him, concerned.

"Are you okay?" You said as you held out a hand to him.

"Yeah. Thanks." Leorio said as he grabbed your hand and you pulled him up.

You smiled at him. Leorio smiled back but flinched when he instantly felt the menacing glare of the three boys behind you.

That's when you all realised it. The six trap doors led to the same room. You all looked at each other dumbfounded and laughed stupidly.

"I guess we won't be saying goodbye that easily!" You said.

"Yeah. That was quite a brief farewell too." Kurapika said.

You all walked to the one object that was in the room. A tiny table with six wrist watches on it. There was a note stuck onto the wall, just above the table.

"'The six of you must follow the will majority to reach the goal.' It said." Gon said. "And look! There's six stopwatches!" He pointed out and grabbed one.

"There's an X and O buttons..." Killua said as he get one as well.

You also got one, along with Kurapika and Leorio. "Is it that we can't leave this room without a sixth person in the group?" Kurapika asked.

"That is right!" A voice through a megaphone said.

You all turned around, startled by the voice.

"Who's there!?" Leorio exclaimed.

"My name is Lippo. The prison warden, as well as the third phase examineer." He said.

"Prison warden...?" Kurapika asked.

"There are multiple routes to this tower that have been prepared." He continued. "You all have chosen the path of majority rule. Cooperation will be the key if you wish to complete this phase. One's selfish behavior can have a great effect on the group and you can't start until there are six members." He said. "Then, best of luck to all of you!" He said and with that, his voice was no longer heard.

Leorio sighed. "So, we can't proceed without another person drops in? What do we do, now?" Leorio asked.

"Well, we have no other choice. We will have to wait...I guess." Kurapika said as he looked up. The rest of you did the same.

When it comes to waiting, you weren't really the best of it. You get bored easily and you don't like it when you're not doing anything. Usually, in your home, if you're not doing anything, you will asked Yumi to gave you an errand but in this square room, there was obviously nothing to do.

Right now, 20 minutes have pass but to you, it seemed like hours. You looked around to see what everybody was doing. Gon was spinning around using Killua's skateboard while Killua was swinging Gon's fishing rod, repeatedly. Leorio was tapping his wrist watch impatiently while Kurapika was just sitting at the corner. And you, sitting while hugging your knees close to your chest.

You sighed as you removed your bag from your back. "Might as well, sleep while waiting. Hey, I'm part animal so I like sleeping." You thought as you stood up and walked beside Kurapika.

He looked at you as you placed your bag beside him and lay on it. "Kurapika?" You called.

"Yeah?" He responded.

"Can you wake me up when sixth person arrives?" You asked.

Kurapika smiled at you. "Certainly." He said.

You smiled and closed your eyes. "Thanks..." You said as you fell into a slumber.

You fell asleep pretty fast right there and released a soft snore that everybody heard.

Gon stopped spinning around Killua's skateboard and skated over you. He jumped down from the skateboard and crouched down to see your face.

"(Y/N) fell asleep pretty fast. I wonder why?" Kurapika said.

Gon smiled. "Well, this morning I woke up (Y/N) when we reached the phase three site. I guess she didn't get much sleep." Gon said.

Killua walked beside Gon. "Either way, it's a good idea to sleep than do nothing in this boring room." Killua said, boredly.

"Indeed." Kurapika agreed.

Then, suddenly, you smiled in your sleep. You reached out your hands like a baby wanting a mother's attention. The three boys looked at you, closely.

"Brad..." You said, dreamily. "You're so cute..."

The three boys froze up. They didn't expect you to say a name that they didn't know but more importantly, it sounds like a guy's name!

The three boys were furious. Each of them are thinking different things.

"B-Brad? Who's that? Why do I feel so angry that she said that name!?" Gon thought, narrowing his eyebrows.

"Calm down, Kurapika! You don't even know who's this Brad guy is! He's not your bussiness!" Kurapika thought with his eyes close but his eyebrows are twitching.

"Brad? Could it be that he's (Y/N)'s boyfriend!? No, I can't jump to that yet...But if he is, I might kill the certain guy..." Killua thought, angerily as he cleched his hand into a fist.

And now, each of them are thinking of one single question.

"Who the hell is he!?" They thought at the same time.

Leorio looked at the three guys and backed away from them as he felt the "Killing Atmosphere" in them. "W-What happened to make them all in a bad mood!?" Leorio thought but he think twice about asking them.

Finally! Finally! I updated! God, I'm sorry, I took so long to do it, it's just that our Wi-Fi died and I couldn't go to the internet these days. Right now, I have my back up Wi-Fi but it isn't that good so forgive me for being so late!

Anyways, the good news is that to make it up to you guys and your wonderful comments and to those other people without accounts who read this, I wrote chapter nine and ten extra long but I don't know about chapter eleven though, I'm currently writing it in the moment!
