~Chapter Fifteen : Phase Four Part Two~
~Start~

Morning came as the sun rise, slowly covering everything with it's shine. Including the little you, who was sleeping peacefully in a tree branch. Once the sun's shine reached your face, you slowly open your eyes, allowing everything to see your (E/C) eyes.

You yawned and put a hand inside your pocket. You smiled at yourself as you realize your and your target's tag was still inside it. You stood up and look around.

You smiled as you found a nearby river. "I could wash my face there!" You thought as you jumped to down to the tree and ran towards the direction where the river is. "I'm suprised no one noticed me sleeping there." You thought

After a minute or two, you reached the river. You crouched down and splashed water on your face. After that, you shook your face, making the water that's left on your face go away.

You sighed, happily as fresh wind came and hit your whole body. "Mornings are great!" You said as you stretched your arms.

After stretching, you walked away from the river and start to walked around the forest, hoping to find atleast one of your friends.

Days have passed and you still haven't found any of your friends. Well, you ran into some applicants whose searching for their targets along the way but you simply kept moving while hiding yourself away from them. You sighed.

"I still have three more days huh?" You said to yourself. "I kinda wish I didn't find my target at the first day of hunting... It's boring without Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio..."

Then, a gush of wind passed you, you looked up and even though it's just for a split second, you saw a flying ID tag.

You widen your eyes and looked to it's direction. Then, you just shrugged and turned to to the direction where it came from. "I wonder what that's all about." You said. "Well, might as well know where it came from."

You kept running, then stopped when you encounter three familiar brothers. They frustrated and angry. "What happened here?" You thought.

You widen your eyes as you realised one of them was Killua's target. "Ah! Killua must be nearby!" You thought as you about to walk passed the brothers to find Killua.

"Hey! Little girl!" You heard one of the brothers said. You turned around, confuse. "Hm?" You exclaimed.

"Give me your tag!" The one whose wearing a blue shirt said.

"Why? Am I your target?" You asked, innocently.

"No...But still!" He said as he smirked. "If it weren't for that kid, we wouldn't take your tag, so give it!" He said.

You smiled. ""Kid"? Is that kid's target happens to be #199?" You asked, ignoring he's threat.

The guy widen his eyes. "Yeah...Do you know that brat?" He asked.

"It's one of my friends!" You said and turned around. "Well, bye guys! I need to get moving seriously!" You said as you ran away.

"Hey! Little girl! Don't distract us! We still need your tag!" One said. "Get back here." They said as they ran after you.

You ran faster and looked behind you, to see them running as fast as they can. You pouted. "They're so persistant." You said as you looked infront of you again. "Didn't they realise that they need to collect atleast 12 tags for all of them and not just mine?"

After a while of running, you lost them while hiding in a nearby bush. They checked everywhere for you. Yeah, everywhere, except this bush you're hiding. Once they were out of sight, you stood up and continued walking on.

You looked around. "Hm...I wonder where did Killua headed?" You asked yourself. "Killua?" You called.

You sighed. "I guess considering how much skill Killua has, he's probably far away by now..." You said, disappointed.

"Oi." You suddenly heard a familiar voice.

You looked to the direction where it came from as you quickly realised who it was. "Killua!" You smiled.

Killua, the guy you've been searching was standing on a branch, slightly smirking at you. "Yo." He said as he jumped down from the branch.

You sighed in relief. "Finally! I found someone I know!" You said.

"You've been searching for someone you know these past days?" Killua asked, raising his eyebrows.

On the two of you's mini-reunion, you both just continued on walking to the path you are following earlier.

You nodded. "Yeah! It's boring without any of you guys so I decided to find you all but three days have passed I still haven't found any until now." You explained.

"Oh..." Killua hummed. "Wait, did you found already you're target!?" Killua asked, leaning over to you. "Don't tell me you're going around the island finding us but not your target!?"

You smiled and searched your pocket for your target's tag. Once you touched it, you pulled it out and show it to Killua. "Ta-da! I already found it!" You said.

Killua calmed down. "That's good then..." He said.

"I was pretty lucky when I happened to encounter my target on the first day of the hunting!" You said.

Killua pouted. "Eh? How are you always so lucky? It's kinda frustrating, you know!" Killua said.

"Well, Yumi-san always tell me things about good karma! If I do good things, then good stuff will happen to me in return!" You explained. "You should start doing good things too, Killua! So you'll get something good in return!" You said.

Killua "Tch"ed at you. "What are you? Still a child?" He asked. "Sure, you look like an 8-year-old..."

"Hey! I do not look that young!" You protested.

"...But believing things like that, aren't those things getting a little bit old?" Killua asked, ignoring your protest.

"Of course not!" You yelled. "In fact, the more I believe, the more often it happen!" You said.

Killua sighed and put his hand on his head and smiled at you. "Whatever floats your boat." He said.

You kept staring at him after he smiled at you like that and Killua noticed it and of course, he turned red.

"W-Why are you looking at me like that?" Killua stuttered.

You grinned at him, showing your pearly white teeth. "Nothing!" You answered. "It's just that I realize that a smile fitted your face the most! I like it!" You said.

Killua blushed like crazy and turned away. "I-Idiot! S-Stop saying those embarassing words! It's embarassing, you know!?" Killua stuttered.

You giggled at him. "Fine, fine..." You said as you and him kept walking.

Finally, three days have passed since you found Killua and started exploring the island with him ever since. You had so much fun talking and laughing with him but since one week has passed, you can't help thinking about your other friends like Gon, Kurapika and Leorio and worry about them if they already got they're target's ID tag. Especially Gon. I mean, getting a dangerous man, like Hisoka's ID tag is very heart-pouding mission.

While still walking around, you both heard a sound of a boat.

"The fourth phase of the exam has just ended. Will the applicants return to the starting point at once? You will all be given one hour of extra time." A voice, which sounded a lot like the woman on the boat said. "If you do not return during this time, you will fail the exam. Furthermore, you are not allowed to exchange ID tags once you are in the starting point. Anyone caught swapping tags will be disqualified."

"You heard that?" Killua asked, smiling at you.

You nodded. "Yeah! Let's go!" You said as you grab Killua's hands and drag him.

"H-Hey! I can run by myself you know!?" Killua yelled, stumbling on his feet, blushing at the fact you're holding his hand.

"Hehehe, consider this as a payback for dragging me when we're on the Numere Wetlands!" You said.

Killua sighed and ran the at the same pace as you. "Really, sometimes you're...Nevermind..." Killua muttered, quietly enough for you to not hear.

Once you both reached the starting point, other applicants started appearing too. You looked around but no there's no Gon, Kurapika nor Leorio. You sighed in disappointment.

Then, the girl from earlier exited the boat. "Then, we will now check the tags of the people that are here." She said.

You and Killua raised both of your tags and your targets'.

"#44, Hisoka"

"#53, Pokkle"

"#99, Killua"

"#400, (Y/N)"

"#301, Gittarackur"

"#191, Bodoro"

"#294, Hanzo"

She named all the applicants who passed. "So, only seven applicants passed?" She asked but put on a suprised face as she looked up. "Oh?"

You all turned to what she's looking and saw three figures appearing. You smiled as you quickly know this three figures. "Gon! Kurapika! Leorio!" You said, happily.

"Gon." Killua said, smiling as the two of you gave a thumbs up.

"Killua, (Y/N)..." He said as he gave the two of you a thumbs up back. But you noticed he looked kinda miserable on his appearance.

"Ah, three more people show up before the last seconds!" The girl said. "And now, for the last few members..."

"#404, Kurapika"

"#403, Leorio"

"#405, Gon"

The girl finished. "These ten applicants has passed the fourth phase of the hunter exam!" She said as she pointed her hands toward the airship above, indicating all the applicants will be riding it once again.

"I have an announcement for all of you." You stopped walking as you heard a voice in megaphone and listened to it. "The chairman wishes to interview the remaining applicants. When your number is called, please come to the first reception room on the second floor. Then, we'll start with #44, Hisoka."

You slightly widen your eyes at the announcement. "Interview, huh..." You muttered then, smiled. "Oh, well, what can go wrong?" You said and walked towards the said room and waited.

Finally, you're number has been called, and you entered the reception room. "I'm coming in, sorry to bother you." You said in a polite manner and closed the door behind you.

The chairman laughed. "Oh? We have a polite one here!" He said. "Have a seat."

You smiled and kneeled down on the pillow. "Thank you very much." You said, bowing slightly. "Um, is this supposed to be the final phase, may I ask?" You asked, tilting your head to the side.

"It may be related..." He said. "But I'll only be asking a few questions to satisfy my curiosity so it's not the final phase" He said.

"Ah, I see. Then, please continue." You said.

"First, why do you want to become a hunter." The chairman asked.

"Mm, well, I was actually thinking if I become a hunter, I may learn something to be able to control something properly." You answered.

"I see..." He said, writing at his paper. "Then, I'll proceed to my next question..." He said. "Which of the nine other applicants you're keeping your eye on?"

"I would say...No one...Because, I didn't attended the hunter exam to fight anyone." You answered.

The chairman hummed. "Is that so?" He said. "Well then, I'll proceed to my next question..." He said. "Which of the other nine applicants would you least want to fight?"

You smiled. "Obviously, it would be the friends that I've made here in this exam : #99, #405, #404, and #403!" You answered.

The chairman nodded. "Okay, good job. You're excused." He said.

You nodded and stood up. You exited the door and closed it behind you. You sighed. "Ah~ that was very heart-pounding! I thought it's something too serious!" You said and started walking around once again.

It was finally time for the sun to set. You were thinking of resting for the night when you happen to encounter Gon and Kurapika

"Oh? Gon? Kurapika?" You called.

They turned to you and they smiled. "(Y/N)!" Gon smiled.

You walked over to them, smiling and leaned to the window. You were all envelope by silence until Kurapika spoke up.

"Gon..." Kurapika called, looking at Gon.

"Hmm..." Gon answered but didn't looked at Kurapika.

"Did something happened on the fourth phase? You don't look like yourself when we met up." Kurapika said.

"I have to agree..." You said. "You really looked...Miserable when I saw you..." You admitted.

"Really?" Gon smiled at both of you then looked at the window again. "My target was Hisoka..." He said.

Kurapika looked a little shocked but you remained unsuprised since he already told you and Killua before the fourth phase happened.

"I waited for the perfect chance to stole his tag but I didn't noticed that there's someone else that's trailing me and got me with a poison dart." Gon explained as you and Kurapika listened carefully. "Soon after, Hisoka took back his tag from the person who got me and left it with me. He said that I owed him now."

"Hisoka said that?" Kurapika asked.

Gon nodded and continue his story, looking down. "I told him that I didn't need his help and he send me flying." Gon continued. ""I'll only take it back if you are able to hit me in the face just like that.", he said." Gon said.

"I was so mad and couldn't do anything against him..." Gon said, voice cracking.

You looked at him and widen your eyes as you noticed tears were dropping from his eyes. You quickly walked over to Gon and gently patted his back, comfortly while smiling. Once he felt your gentle pat and comfort, he quickly wiped his eyes and smiled.

"And then?" You asked, encouraging him to go on further. Because you know something good is going to happen in his story that may cheer him up a bit.

"After that, I felt so miserable and lonely. I felt so helpless. I wanted company, I wanted to help someone..." He said as he slightly bumped his own two fist at each other. "...I guess."

"That's why I started searching for Kurapika and Leorio." Gon said and looked at you. "But of course! Finding (Y/N) was also one of my priority! I know Killua can take care of himself so I didn't bother to find him." He said.

You smiled at him. "I see..." You said. "Thanks." You said as you hug him gently. He widen his eyes in suprise but soon hugged you back. "Gon, you shouldn't care too much for your pride, okay? Someday, that pride will hurt you in everyway." You reminded him as you broke your hug with him. Gon smiled at you and nodded.

Kurapika stared at the two of you with an unknown expression then decided to step in. "Gon." He called.

Gon looked up at Kurapika. "Hm?" He said.

Kurapika smiled at him. "Me and Leorio are able to make it this far because of you. That's why we're truly grateful." He said.

Gon smiled back. "I'd also like to thank you." Gon said.

You smiled at both of them as you notice how they're deepening their friendship with each other. Then, Gon turned and looked at the both of you behind his shoulder. "Well, I've got to find Killua. He's going to be mad if I don't find him early." Gon said, sweatdropping. "Bye!" Gon said, waving as he took off.

You waved at his figure. "Bye!" You said and turned to Kurapika. "I guess it's just the two of us now!" You said.

Kurapika nodded and smiled at you. "Yeah." He said as he looked to the window and you follow as well.

"(Y/N)." Kurapika called.

You looked at him. "Hm?" You said.

"What do you...Think of Killua and Gon?" He asked, serious.

You turn a little pink and looked up. "They're someone who's special inside my heart..." You said, smiling. "They're those boys who think so reckless yet so wise and it made me want to watch them. To study them." You said and raised your hands infront of your chest, turning to Kurapika.

"But I didn't mean that in the creepy way! I meant like..." You said as you looked down. "It's just that I wanted to study on how they're making dangerous things doesn't seem so dangerous at all, doing all the impossible and making all things seem so exciting and fun!" You said, smiling.

Kurapika looked at you. "But aren't you like them?" He asked.

You looked up, confuse. "Huh?"

"I mean, you look like a child and sometimes you act like one but you actually have a pretty mature mind. You're like the oldest one between Gon and Killua. You're the one who prevents them from doing dangerous things, worrying for them, and encouraging them on their choices." Kurapika explained, smiling at you. "So, everything you do for them is just like the way they do to all the kinds of situation."

You looked at Kurapika, stunned then smiled. "I guess then, I'll start acting mature then!" You said.

Kurapika laughed and pat your head. "But I like the normal (Y/N) than the mature (Y/N). It's cute." Kurapika said with a tint of pink on his cheek.

You turn red and looked at him. "Y-You too! I like the normal Kurapika more than the serious Kurapika!" You said, face red.

Kurapika turned red. "Oh...I see..." He said.

The both of you were red-faced and an awkward atmosphere arrived. You smiled at Kurapika awkwardly. "W-Well! I need to get going now! I'm going to sleep!" You said, scratching the back of your head and turned around.

"You go to sleep too okay?" You said as you ran off. "Bye!"

Kurapika waved at you. "Yeah...Bye..."

"W-What's with that!? I've never been so awkward in my life! And my heart is beating so fast! Yumi-san! What's happening to me!?"
