Prologue Pt 3

Diva's P.O.V.

I waited impatiently at the docks, pacing back and forth excitedly. I just wanted these new villagers to come already! I wanna meet them! I wanna know what they'll look like, and what personalities they'll have! I can't wait to meet them!

"Relax, Diva. They'll be here any minute, rerack." Flip replied. I sighed. "I know, I know. I'm just really excited to meet the new villagers! We haven't had anyone new move in for a little while. And I wanna show them around!" I said. "I'm excited too. It'll be cool to make some new friends. Hopefully they'll all be really nice." Flip replied.

"Is there anyone specific your hoping will come live here?" I asked. Flip looked a little taken aback, but placed a hand on his chin.

"Hmm, I'm not sure. Honestly, I think I'd be happy with anyone. Just so long as they were friendly." he replied. "Yeah, I think I feel the same. But a part of me is hoping one of the new neighbors will be a girl. I haven't had a girl chat with anyone in awhile, ya know?" I said. Flip nodded, then he looked to the screen and perked up.

"Hey look! There's the plane!" he said. I shot my head up to look at the sky. Just like he said, the plane was coming this way. I jumped up and down with excitement as it slowly descended from the night sky, and carefully landed near the dock. Flip and I patiently waited as Gabby left from the airport, looking to us happily.

"Alright guys, ready to meet our new residents?" she asked.

"Absolutely!" Flip and I stated. Gabby nodded and looked to the door, gesturing for someone to come out. The first to come out was a tall lion. He wore a blue and white striped shirt, had golden fur, and a big brown mane. You'd expect lions to be kinda scary or intimidating. But this guy gave off the exact opposite vibe. In fact, he looked very laid back, giving us a slightly lazy but friendly smile.

"First we have Rex." Gabby said. Rex nodded.

"What's up, cool cat? It's nice to meet you both." he replied. I walked over to him and shook his paw. I smiled. "Hi there, it's nice to meet you too-"

"ARE THEY HERE?! I WANNA SEE!!"

Suddenly a penguin shot out from the airport, a huge smile on her beak....but she ended up bumping right into Rex. They both yelped in pain and fell on their backs, swirls in their eyes. Gabby, Flip and I all perked up. "Whoa! You both okay?!" Flip asked in concern. A sheep left the airport in a rush, but her eyes widened when seeing Rex and the penguin.

"Sprinkle! I told you not to rush! You need to be more careful!" she said. The penguin, whom I assumed was Sprinkle, groaned and rubbed her head.

"Owie...my head..." she murmured.

I rushed over to Sprinkle and helped her to her feet. Flip did the same with Rex. "Are you both okay?" I asked. "Yeah, I think so," Sprinkle murmured, blinking a few times before looking to Rex with wide eyes, "Oh gosh! I'm so so so sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you, Rex! I was just so excited, and I wanted to meet our new besties! Can you forgive me?" she asked. Rex gave his head a small shook, but then his friendly smile returned.

"It's alright. No damage done, cool cat." he replied. Man, he really is chill. Sprinkle sighed in relief.

"Thank goodness." she said. She looked to me and smiled sheepishly. "Hehe, sorry about that. Guess that's one way to make a first impression, frappe." she said. I giggled. "It was certainly the most interesting one." I stated. Sprinkle was actually very adorable. She wore a light grey winter sweater, had light blue feathers, and a white underbelly. Her beak was a light orange color, and her black eyes had a sort of sparkle to them. It matched with her upbeat and energetic personality.

"Well, anyway, the name is Sprinkle! It's nice to meet ya! I'm sure this island life is gonna be totally fun! I can't wait!" she stated. She walked over to the sheep and placed her wing on her back, giving her a little shove forward.

"And this is Stella, my closest bestie ever! Go on and say hi, silly!" she said to her friend. Stella blushed a little, but gave a small smile. "Hi everyone. It's nice to meet you all. I know we only just met, but I hope we can all get along and be friends." she said. She looked cute as well. Her fur was a darker shade of pink, with her light pink face contrasting to it. I liked her shirt too, which was dark red and had white flower designs. You'd think her horns would stand out, but they actually complimented her look.

"Well, everyone, my name is Diva. And this here is my friend, Flip. And we're both very happy to have more friends stay with us on this island! I promise you won't regret this!" I stated.

"Definitely. You guys are gonna love it here! If you need help with anything, just let us know. We're more than happy to help!" Flip stated.

This was great.  New friends to enjoy this wonderful island. I only wonder who else will join us in the future?

Sprinkle's P.O.V

A bit of time has passed since we first moved in, and yet things were starting to change. Lots of new buildings were built. Now we had the Able Sister's shop, we had a campsite for villagers to come visit our little island, and the Residents Service tent got upgraded to a huge building! We even got a new assistant named Isabelle. She was a sweet dog, who everyone loved.

I'm really happy I decided to move to this place. I knew it was a good idea, my guts were just telling me to go for it! And this is a good change for Stella, too. I'm glad she decided to come with me. She wasn't happy in that big city. A small, faraway place like this was exactly what she needed.

"What do you think of these?" I asked Diva, putting on a shade of black sunglasses. She and I were shopping together at the Able Sister's shop. I figured it'd be fun to spend some time together. Diva placed a hand on her chin, narrowing her eyes and thinking before shaking her head.

"No, not quite. They're too dark. You need something more colorful! Something with a more positive vibe! Something that screams Sprinkle, ya know?" she replied. I nodded in agreement and put the sunglasses back.

"Yeah, I think you're right, frappe. What would make me look fabulous?" I said, wings on my hips.

"Perhaps you'd be interested in this instead." Mabel spoke up. She took my wing and pulled me over to a black mannequin. On it's face was a pair of rimestone sunglasses. They were the perfect shade of purple, with the sparkly rimestones around the rim! I gasped, eyes sparkling at the sight of it.

"OH MY GOSH!! IT'S PERFECT!!!" I cried. Diva looked as well and she perked up. "Oh yeah! Those would look great on you!" she stated. I snatched the glasses and threw them onto my face, making a small pose for Diva.

"Well? How fabulous do I look?"

Diva gave two thumbs up. "10/10!"

"They're even on sale. Only 1,300 bells." Mabel replied. "Sold!" I stated. Not even hesitating I grabbed the money from my bag and handed it to Mabel. Then Diva and I walked out of the shop happily.

"Wow. What luck that they had something so perfect for you." Diva said. "I'm surprised you didn't get anything. Nothing caught your eye?" I asked. Diva shook her head. "No, not this time. Maybe I'll buy something next time." she said.

"Hi girls!" Diva and I looked over at the river. Flip smiled at us and waved. He was sitting by the river side, fishing pole in his hands. "Hey Flip. Doing a bit of fishing today?" Diva said. "Yep! I figured I could see what the water has to offer today. Just watch, I'm gonna catch something big!" Flip stated. Almost as if on cue, his fishing pole suddenly jerked towards the water. Flip perked up and started to real it in, a determined look in his eyes.

"Oh boy! This one's a fighter! He's all mine!" he stated. Diva and I watched as he reeled in the fish and pulled it out of the water....revealing a sea bass.

Flip gave a very disappointed expression. "Aw nuts." he muttered.

Diva and I giggled a bit. Whenever Flip goes fishing, all he seems to catch is sea bass. It was a terrible curse he had. "Don't worry, Flip. You'll catch something bigger next time! I just know it!" I stated. Flip smiled and nodded.

"You bet I will! Just watch me!" he stated. Diva looked past us and perked up.

"Huh? Hey look, Flip. There's a new empty lot in front of your house." she said. Flip and I looked over at his house to see she was right. There was a new empty lot in front of his house.

"Oh wow! Maybe a new neighbor is moving in!" I stated.

"Sprinkle! Flip! Diva!" we looked to our left, seeing Rex and Stella running towards us. The usual lazy and laid back lion looked more excited than ever. Didn't seem like he could stand still, and he had an excited expression on his face.

"Guess what?! We're getting a new neighbor! And he's staying at the campsite right now! We should go meet him!" he said. "No kidding! In the campsite? Awesome! Let's go!" Flip said, tossing his sea bass back into the river. "Who is he?" Diva asked.

"We're not sure. But rumor has it he's a famous actor, baa-dabing!" Stella said, her smile growing wider and wider. My eyes widened.

"SHUT UP!! A FAMOUS ACTOR?! HERE?!" I shouted.

"What're we waiting for?! Let's go give him our best Caledon welcome!" Flip stated. We all rushed over towards the campsite, which was on the other side of the plaza. In just a few minutes we arrived at the campsite, where I could see the silhouette of someone inside the tent.

"Hi there! Famous actor! Can you come out for a moment! We wanna welcome you to our totally amazing island!" I called out. It was only a few moments before the tent flips were swung wide open, and our new neighbor stepped out. He was a gazelle, with orange and white fur, and tall brown antlers. He wore a blue, long sleeve shirt, along with a blue vest that had red and silver diamond designs. But his most notable, and most fabulous, feature I saw was the pink outliner used right above his eyes. Upon seeing us all he smirked and stroke a pose.

"Ah, it appears I have many new fans! It's wonderful to meet your acquaintance!" he stated.

"We heard you were moving in to our island, and that you are a famous actor! Is that true?" Diva asked.

"Indeed, this is all true. I am indeed a well known actor! And I'm indeed moving here on this glorious island! Gabby, the island representative, was kind enough to offer me an opportunity to stay here! So now you have the gift of seeing me every day: Unlimited Lopez access!" the gazelle stated.

"Lopez. Is that your name?" Stella asked. "Oh yes, I guess I should do a proper greeting. Do forgive me. Yes, my name is Lopez the Great, but you may address me as Lopez. I'm a very lucky deer to get to stay here with all of you." Lopez replied.

"We're happy to have a celebrity like you staying with us. My name is Sprinkle. And here we have Diva, Flip, Rex, and Stella. Welcome to Caledon!" I stated. Rex tilted his head to the side.

"Uh, Lopez? I'm glad you're here and all. But you just called yourself a deer. No offense, but aren't you a gazelle?" Rex asked. Lopez looked to him with wide eyes, then placed his hands on his hips. "I am not! I'm a proud deer!" he stated.

"But you have the colors of a gazelle."

"That's just cause I'm a unique kind of deer!"

"Yeah. A gazelle."

"Not a gazelle!"

"Maybe an antelope then?"

"NO! I'm a deer! Don't make me repeat myself!"

"Okay." Rex just shrugged and smiled. Lopez sighed in frustration, then returned to his friendly attitude. "I do apologize. I try to be nice to everyone. But I do have a slight temper. So if I upset anyone, please let me know." he said.

"No problem. How soon are you moving in?" Flip asked. "Immediately! Construction on my house is starting today, and will be finished tomorrow. Until then, I'll be staying in the tent." Lopez replied. I nodded.

"Well Lopez, I hope we can all be good friends." I said. Lopez smiled.

"I'm sure we will be."
