"Dost banoge aap mere??" Asked Bondita and forwarded her hand cutely... Anirudh was all the more elated and accepted and said, "Yes!!! Mai banunga tumhaara dost!!"

Bondita squealed in joy and hugged Anirudh, which shocked Veer and Manorama including Anirudh... He hugged her back and tears of happiness flew down his cheeks... Bondita noticed it and asked him "Aap ro kyu rahe ho?? Mujhse dosti karna accha nhi lagta kya??" with a cute pout and sadness in her eyes... Anirudh couldn't stand the sadness and he replied, "Nhi, nhi, yeh toh khushi ki aansu hai... Veer ke baad tum mere dusri dost ho.." This reply made Bondita smile and she had a megawatt grin on her face...

Anirudh was dying from inside by looking at Bondita's condition... Though a part of him was happy, another part of him was literally dying... He was sad and happy, to be precise... He was internally thanking Durga Maa for bringing back Bondita alive but also prayed that she would get her memories soon...

Anirudh was there till night and he had to go with Veer back to the RC Mansion... Bondita was sad that her Dr. Veer and her new friend are going back, but she became happy when Anirudh promised to come every night to see her...

Anirudh reached RC Mansion and all were happy to see him... On seeing Veer with him, no one questioned Anirudh which was a relief... Kaka asked Anirudh to take rest and freshen up... Anirudh sat in his study after freshening up...

Saudamini entered the study with a plate of food and he was engrossed in some books....

She called him softly thinking that he must be again drunk at this hour.....

Saud: Anirudh!!!

Without lifting his head up, he hummed..... and she frowned as at this time whenever she used to enter his study, being drunk, he used to get excited as he use to have a lot of matter to discuss with her about his Mishti.... but today he was having no expression.... but she shrugged off and again called him, "Anirudh!!!" thinking that may be this time he show some excitement or any kind of emotion but he didn't... Instead got irritated and said, "kya hua h Saudamini... Aage bhi bolo ya sirf naam ratne aayi ho??"

And this made Saudamini's eyes teary... She was there to feed him with her own hands as always like a good friend... But what she forgot was that those days Aniruddh used to be drunk but today he is not.... He was in all senses..... And his rude pitch made her flinch in fear...
She still smiled and slowly said, "khaana le kr aayi thi..."

To which he sternly replied, "hmmm....rakh do or jaao!!"

Saud: nahi Anirudh tum mere saamne khaao... Mujhe pta h tum nahi khaoge....isliye chalo abhi k abhi khaao....

This raged him more and he banged him heavy book on the table making her jump in fear suddenly....
She gulped down her tears and put the plate aside and shockingly said, "kha lena Anirudh please!!"

She turned to leave wiping off her tears but he realised his rude he was so he stopped her ...

Ani: I'm sorry Saudamini... Mujhe ese behave nahi Krna chahiye tha.. mein bas thoda busy hu.... Or pareshan bhi.... Isliye bas....

Listening his heartfelt apology, she smiled and said, "koi baat nahi Aniruddh.. mein jaati hu.. tum khaana kha lena"
To which he smilingly nodded and she went away happily seeing his positively changed behaviour unknown to the reason behind it...

Anirudh looked at the plate and then glanced outside the window from where Chatterjee's house was visible... Seeing the lights still on indicated him that both the girls are still awake ....

Ani: Shayad Mishti jagi hui hogi... Aaj apni Mishti ke saath khaana khaunga... Poore do saal baad uske saath khaana khaunga....

He grinned widely and picked up the plate and was about move out secretly when his gaze fell at his mirror image on the study's door... And realised that state was not at all looking like how his Mishti used to like him....

He was looking like a mad with messy hair, grown up beard and those loose off white kurta pyjama..

Ani looked at himself from head to toe and murmured, "nahi Aniruddh, ese nahi jaa skta tu uske saamne... Vo pehle hi tujhse darti h... Ese tujhe bhoot na samajh le..."

He chuckled and first went to make himself presentable in front of her or else she'll again get scared of him which he doesn't want.....

Anirudh ate the food quickly and went to his room and wore his signature black turtle neck top, matching it with beige pants and black suspenders...

After two long years, Anirudh Roy Chaudhary was back in his old appearance.... Only for his Mishti... He went to Veer's room and knocked the door to which Veer opened the door... They both went the adjacent Chaterjee's home not before taking his plate of food there...

Rest of the family was oblivious to the fact that Bondita has returned... Veer and Anirudh entered Bondita's room and she got elated on seeing Veer and smiled brightly at Anirudh...

"Doctor Babu aa gye... Yeeeee!!!" Bondita squealed... Veer, Mano and Anirudh chuckled at her kiddish behaviour.... But they were crying internally on looking at the fate of Bondita...

She suddenly noticed Anirudh with a plate standing there... Bondita got scared... "Doctor Babu, yeh aaj bhi datege mujhe??" Veer nodded his head in a no, and Anirudh also nodded in a no... Anirudh came and slowly sat near Bondita...

"Ek minute, aapko mai kya bulau??"

"Mujhe?? Hmm... Sakha Babu bulaogi..."

"Sakha Babu??"

"Haa Bondita, tum Veer ko Doctor Babu bulati ho, kyuki woh doctor hai... Mai tumhari Sakha yaani dost hu, isliye tum mujhe Sakha Babu bulaogi... Samajh gyi??"

"Haaaa... Tikh hai Sak...Sakha Babu!!!"

Anirudh was elated and had tears in his eyes... He quickly wiped them and pointed to the plate in his hands...

"Khana khaogi?? bohot tasty h..." he grinned at her widely..

"Haa... Par..." she muttered looking down in nervousness...

"Par kya Bondita??"

"Aap mujh khilaoge.... mere hands gande ho jaenge!!" she showed her palms to him cutely tugging her lower lip down adding more cuteness on her face and this made all of them chuckle instantly....

"Ittu si baat?? Samjho ho gya...."

"Yeeeee" Bondita squealed... Anirudh fed her with his own hands... Veer also joined in feeding her... Bondita then fed both Anirudh and Veer also... All the 4 were happily chit chatting and Anirudh was admiring Bondita's childish antics... Her eyes fell droopy and Veer lulled her to sleep... Manorama was patting her head and Veer-Anirudh sneaked back to RC Mansion...

Anirudh slept peacefully after ages because his Mishti is near him... He reminisced her childhood memories and dozed off... The next few days passed and the same routine was followed by Veer and Anirudh... Sometimes it was Anirudh who fed her and spent time with her, sometimes it was Veer...

Bondita bonded well with Anirudh, but she was closer to Veer than Anirudh... Veer wanted the exact opposite to happen, but destiny had something else stored for them... Anirudh came there to spend time with Bondita... She got elated on seeing him...

"Aap aa gye Sakha Babu!!! Yeeee!!" She squealed...

"Haa Bondita... Aapke Sakha Babu aa gye hai... Ab khana khaye??"

"Chalo khate hai... Aap khilao mujhe, mai aapko khilaungi... Teekh hai??"

"Chalo, tikh hai... Tum khana shuru karo... Aaaaa karo..."

Bondita opens her mouth as Anirudh brings the morsel to her mouth... Today, he did bring roshogolla too... He hoped that it would quicken the process of her memory regain... Bondita too fed Anirudh three full luchis and she also ate 3 full luchis... Manorama and Veer were standing afar and watching the scene... Veer entered the room, and Bondita saw him...

"Kya hua Doctor Babu?? Aap yaha kyu aaye ho??"

"Bondita, tu na Sakha Babu ke saath aur samay bithao... Tumhare Manu Didi ko bahar jana hai khane ke liye..."

"Mujhe chodke jaa rahe ho?? Kattiiiii...." *puffs her cheeks*

"Arrey Baba, tum akele thodi na rahegi yaha pe... Tumhare Sakha Babu hai na??"

"Haaaaa... Hai woh... Tikh hai... Aap Manu Didi ke saath bahar jao... Mai apna dost ke saath khelungi..."

Anirudh and Bondita spent a good time playing and slowly Bondita fell asleep ... Anirudh slowly got out of the bed, patted her head and covered her with a blanket... He went back to his Mansion, before checking that no one was awake... He slept peacefully whenever he came after playing with Mishti...

A few days passed by and Bondita and Veer got a bit close... Bondita got a nightmare and Veer woke her up...

"Kya hua chocopie, itni chilla kyu rahi thi??"

"Woh log...woh log... Aake mujhe le ja rahe the Doctor Babu... Mujhe aapko chodke nhi jaana hai... Nhi jaana hai..." Bondita cried hugging Veer...

"Arrey nhi jaaogi... Mai tumhe jaane dunga kya bhala??" Veer hugged her and patted her head...

"Mai janti hu... Aap aisa kabhi nhi karenge... Aap sabse acche ho Doctor Babu!!! Accha hua ki aap yaha leke aaye hai... Bohot accha lag raha hai mujhe..."

"Tikh hai, tikh hai, tum so jao... Neend khuli na tumhare... So jao ab..."

"Aap please mat jaoo na..." Bondita said and hugged Veer tightly... He had no other choice other than to hug her back. He saw Manorama and sighed helplessly...

Manorama and Anirudh witnessed this closeness and they felt insecure... "Yeh kya kya soch rahi hu mai... Veer aisa kabhi nhi kar sakta... Bondita ki dimaag ek bacchi ki tarah hai, koi baat nhi... Bas, Durga Maa se yehi prarthana hai ki Bondita ki tabiyat jald hi thik ho jaaye... Par mujhe toh kitna bura laga in dono ko saath mein dekhke... Tu bhi na Manorama... Yeh sab bakwas hai... Bondita ki dimaag bacchi ki tarah hai, lagav hua hai usse Veer se... Tu jaao aur kaam niptao..."

Anirudh was thinking "mai insecure kyu mehsoos kar raha hu?? Bondita ki dimaag ab bacchi ki tarah hai... Bas, Bondita ke Dugga Maa, aap jald hi Bondita ko tikh kar dijiye... Kya yaar Anirudh?? Tu bhi aisa kyu soch raha hai?? Veer is helpless because Bondita usse zyada kareeb hai... Dard ho raha hai, par seh lunga mai... Koi baat nhi... Tu jaa Anirudh aur so jaao... Isko dil pe mat lo..."

Veer was patting her head smilingly and was thinking about the bond they were sharing these days.... he looked at her calm and smiling face and his heart fluttered seeing that innocent beauty laying over there beside him....

He unknowingly bent down to kiss her forehead with all love. His lips were inches apart from her forehead when his gaze fell on the ring he was wearing and he suddenly pulled himself back when the reality dawned him.....

He immediately jerked off from bed realising the sin he was going to commit.... He took a deep breath to calm himself and murmured looking away from her, "ye kya krne jaa raha tha mein?? nahi nahi nahi.... vo Veer wapas nahi aa sakta... mujhe apni feelings ko control mein rakhna hoga... mujhe Bondita ke paas nahi, use Anirudh ke paas le jaana h.... mein fir un feelings ko nahi jaga sakta...

"yaad rakhna choco pie mene sirf tumse pyaar kiya h, or aakhri saans tak sirf tumse hi pyaar karunga.... "

"Bondita bhale hi kisi or se pyaar kare pr ye Veer humesha Bondita se hi pyaar karega.....humeshaa.. sirf Bondita se... kabhi kisi or ko iss dil me galti se bhi jagah nahi dunga.... kabhi nahi.... khud se vada h mera..."

Those words, those promises, when he was heartbroken knowing that his only love is married and love someone else.... started ringing in his ears... his past, his love for his choco pie.... his best friend was shooking him from the core.... and at the same time he knew that he loves someone else now... he belongs to someone else.... and these two contradictory situations were becoming unbearable for him.....

He closed his eyes breathing heavily and covered his ears murmuring, "waada bhi toda h or apna dil bhi.... uss toote dil ko sametke fir pyaar ki galiyon mein nikla h ye Veer... or iss baar manzil Bondita nahi, Manu h... meri Manu...meri shaadi h usse kuch dino me....bohot intezaar ke baad ye pal aaya h... apne ateet ko ise kharaab krne nahi de skta.... or Bondita ka mere liye sirf lagaav h... mein ese paristhiti ka faydakabhi nahi... mein sirf apni Manu se pyaar krta hu...sorf usse..."

He glanced at sleeping Bondita last time and stormed out of the room in frustration and directly went to Manorama in the adjacent room....

When she saw him entering, her face lit up and she stood up and the very next moment, Veer was hugging her tightly making her startled by the sudden act....

She too wrapped her arms around him sensing something was wrong with him,....

"kya hua Veer?? pareshaan ho??" she asked rubbing his back and he just shooked his head in denial and slowly said, "kuch nahi.... kuch nahi hua.... bas thodi der ese hi rehne do!!!"

He was feeling so calm in her warmth.... and she just smiled and hugged him more tightly saying, "thodi der kyun?? mein to poori indagi ese hi reh skti hu!!!"

Her words drowned him in more guilt remembering the feelings emerging in him these days for another woman except the woman in his embrace... He was feeling guilty for thinking that he could love someone else ignoring this woman's selfless love for him!!! He secretly wiped off his tears and whispered, "I love you... I just love you!!!"

Unknown to the reason, she too smiled and whispered, "I love you too Veer!!"

As usual the days passed by Anirudh and Veer taking turns to spend time with Bondita and Manorama was getting excited because her marriage day was nearing... One fine day, i.e., a day before her marriage to Veer, Bondita asked a shocking question which broke two hearts...
