The school was abuzz with the news. Heather Chandler was dead! And more on that, apparently Christine was best friends with her! Christine had been gaining a lot of unwanted popularity, and found herself and Connor dodging Heather's fanboys. 

Meanwhile, something strange had happened to Carrie. Her floor-length grey skirt had been traded for a knee-length skirt, and she was now wearing tight t-shirts and a jean jacket. She looked straight-up normal. Gone was the Bible carrying girl of Ewen High, and in her place, a confident killer. But only she and Jeremy knew that. 

But Veronica was the most different. She saw that Zoe barley batted an eye when she heard the news. She had to find out what had happened to that girl. So, after prying her purse back from Heather Duke, she looked through it to see if anything was missing. And it sure was; the pill that she meant to give back to Rich. It was missing. Had it fallen out, or had Zoe taken it? Only one way to be sure of the pill's effects. 

Veronica knocked on Rich's locker, promoting him to close it and look her in the eye. "Oh, hi again!" He said. "What'th your name, again?" 

"Veronica." She said. "I was just wondering, but... I found this grey pill after I bumped into you, I meant to give it back, but... uh, well, what does it do?" 

Rich's eyes went wide. "You have it?" He grabbed Veronica's arm. "Give it back. Now." 

Veronica, shocked, pulled back. "What? N-no, I don't have it. It's missing. I think one of the Heathers took it." She thought for a second. "Or well, the Zoe took it." 

"I mean, it would esplain why she changed sho much." He said, lisp still evident.

"But what does it do that would make her change so quickly?" Veronica asked. 

"You really want to see what it does?" He asked. Veronica nodded. Rich grabbed her arm and pressed a grey pill into her hand. "Take this one. But keep a mountain dew red on you at all times." 

"Where the hell am I going to find a drink that was discontinued in the 90's?" She asked. 

"You hang out with Michael, right?" 

"Fair point."
