"She's dead, Scar. You won." Grian's voice whispered in his mind.

"Oh. . .Really?" He ignored the zombie scratching at him.

"Oh my gods. How did that happen? How'd the guy with no friends win?" He laughed.

The zombie kept batting at him pushing him closer towards death. He laughed again, tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

"How did the guy with no friends win?"

He took a moment before wiping his tears and getting rid of the zombie.

"How did this happen? I'm genuinely in actual shock." He wiped his brow as he started back towards the secret keeper.

"I suppose the only thing left for me to do is to literally succeed the task. The task of course, to win Secret Life." He stepped up to the Secret Keeper submitting his task.

It counted down, renewing his hearts and giving him another book.

Win Secret Life

It read.

"But didn't I already do that?"

He submitted it again, earning more hearts.

"I'm stuck aren't I?" He said as he slumped against the button, the fight had done a number on him. And even with the healing from the Secret Keeper, he was still badly wounded. He laid there, slowly dozing off. He didn't die, no. He recalled games past.

He remembered his time in the desert with Grian. Their llama Pizza. Dogwarts. And another team he can't quite grasp the name of. How he and Grian were the last two standing.

Third Life

An unfamiliar voice ringed in his mind as the scene changes. Now he stood atop a mountain. A collection of towers to the south, a little safe area in the forest, could be seen from there, and there was the constant feeling of fear in the air. The Boogeyman curse.

Last life

There it was, that voice again, as the scene changed to him standing in front of Grian, the man smiling, like Scar had just done something stupidly funny.

"You idiot, we're soulmates." He could see the blood run down Grian's face, and he reaches up to his, where a few bits of drip stone had broken off when it hit him.

The scene changed, but the voice wasn't there.

"Secret soulmates, huh?"

It was his own voice. Grian was there. He looked shocked, like it wasn't something he had expected Scar to figure out.

The scene changed again, he saw Ren impaled by dripstone, by Grian's own hand. Moments later he could see see BigB in the arms of his soulmate. Motionless as Grian mourns for his chosen. He felt jealousy.

Double Life

That one must've been important.

Next there was a stony hill, a big bridge and a small castle tower. He had called Cleo mom here too. Bdubs was with him, it was an interesting dynamic when Etho came into the picture. He could picture a timer? No, a countdown. What did it mean?

"How much time do you have Scar?"

"I'm about to be red, just give me a bit."

Limited Life

That made sense. His vision stayed dark for a bit. As he fell into a dreamless sleep.

---

It was not long before he opened his eyes. Still next to that button. However as he looked around it looked as if the grass had started to grow through the cracks in the stone. The sun shone high in the sky, blinding him a bit. He slowly got up rubbing his eyes before he looked around. It looked so different. The craters before him, caused by the Wither have turned into small hills, some became ponds, likely from rain that had fallen.

There were also sunflowers. As far as the eye could see.

The world looked full of life. Despite the fact Scar was the last one there. Trapped in this peaceful post-apocalyptic world.

"How long have I been here?" He wonders aloud, the words made his throat sore, like he hasn't spoken in forever.

He turned back to the button, pressing it, yet again. His book disappeared. Giving him the slightest bit of hope that he could leave. That is until he's healed again, and another book sat in his awaiting hands.

Win Secret Life

"But I already did?" He questioned once again, tossing the book to the side.

He looked at the Secret Keeper. "What did I do to deserve this?" He called out as he pulled out his sword, turning it to rest the tip on his chest.

"Do you really want to do that, Scar?"

There was that voice again.

It was only a moment before the sword pierced his chest. His cries heard by no one as he buried it deeper, letting it drain his health to zero.

The world goes quiet and dark.

Finally I can rest. . .

Until light filled his vision and he could see he was back at spawn. A full row of hearts returned to him, and he fell to his knees. "I'm not going to leave am I? I'm stuck here?

There was no answer. Only the sound of the wind amongst the sunflowers.
