"Bye, thank you!" Lindsay says as we walk out the front door in our costumes. Besides the four of us, Ryan and Carter have also joined us. Ryan decided to join the theme and go as a knight. Carter is a pirate. By the time we get to the neighbor's house, Lindsay and Ryan were in the front, Nikki and Jessie behind them, and me and Carter trailing behind.

"Favorite color?" Carter asks.

"Purple. Then orange. Then gold. No, aqua. Then gold."

"Nice. Favorite genre of movies?"

"Book to movie remakes of young adult romance."

"Obviously. Favorite social media site?"

"Does Youtube count?"

"Okay your turn."

"Alright. Out of everyone here, who is the hottest?"

"Me obviously! I'm kidding. You." My heart skips a beat. I blush.

"Stop!"

"Hey, it was your question!" We get to the door.

"Trick-or-treat!" Lindsay says. A lady opens the door and gives us each a piece of candy.

"What'd you get?" Carter asks as we move on to the next house.

"Um, chocolate," I say.

"Swedish Fish."

"What? That's my favorite!"

"Here. Have it."

"What? No, I can't. At least take mine."

"I'm fine. I'm not much of a candy eater anyways." I take the bag and eat a piece.

"At least have one," I say giving him a piece.

"Okay." He takes it.

Lindsay slows down. Carter takes the hint and speeds up to catch his brother.

"Well, well, well. Look's like you two are hitting it off."

"I guess so. Thanks."

"For what?"

"For getting back together with Ryan. I never would've met him if you didn't."

"No need to thank me. I got a little something out of it too." She waves at Ryan. "Well, I better let you back at it." She and Carter switch places.

"Long time no see," says Carter.

"Yeah, welcome back."
