Chapter 11
I skipped up to Stiles and wrapped my arms around his neck. I grinned and pressed my lips against his. He immediately kissed back but I pulled away a few seconds later. He groaned playfully and I chuckled.
"How's your dad?" I asked and he sighed.
"He's fine." He told me, looking dishearten. A sad look crossed over my face and I rubbed the back of his neck. "Just some soft tissue damage. I could have lost the only person I have left."
"But you didn't." I reminded. "Plus, you have me." I grinned and he chuckled before kissing my nose.
"You're right." I chuckled.
"Are you still mad at Scott?" I asked and he nodded, making me sigh. "Well then, let's get to class." I said and patted his cheek before walking off, hearing him run after me.

Scott walked into the classroom and I watched as a frustrated looked fell onto Stiles' face. I massaged his shoulder and he relaxed to some degree. Scott walked over to us and I sent him a sympathetic looks as he sat next to Stiles.
"Still not talking to me?" He asked and Stiles remained silent. "Can you at least tell me if your dad's ok." He asked again, only to be met with more silence. "I mean, it's just a bruise right." I continued massaging Stiles' shoulders, knowing this would just anger him more. "Soft tissue damage. Nothing...that big...You know I feel really bad about it, right?" I sighed, not really wanting to be part of it.
"Ok, what if I told you I was trying to figure this whole thing out and that I went to Derek for help?" Stiles glanced at him irritated.
"If I was talking to you I would say that you're an idiot for trusting him...But obviously I'm not talking to you." I sighed and kissed Stiles cheek once the bell rang and we had to get to work. I smirked as I saw Stiles grow interested in what Scott as said and I knew it was only a matter of time before he snapped. It only took a few seconds.
"What did he say?" Stiles turned erratically to look at Scott who grinned and chuckled.

Stiles and I walked hand-in-hand out of the classroom with Scott next to us.
"He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Stiles asked incredulously.
"Yeah." Scott agreed.
"Scott...Every time you do that you end up trying to kill people and those people are usually Stiles and I." I told him with a raised eyebrow.
"I know. That's what he means when he says he doesn't know if he can teach me. I have to be able to control it."
"Well, how's he gonna teach you to do that?" Stiles asked.
"I don't know. I don't think he does either."
"That's great." I told them sarcastically, making Stiles chuckle and he began swinging our hands.
"When are you seeing him again?" Stiles questioned.
"He told me not to talk about it. Just act normal and get through the day-"
"When?" I asked again.
"He's picking me up at the animal clinic after work." Scott told me.
"After work." Stiles repeated. "All right, well, that gives us to the end of the school day then." He said and looked down at me and I looked back up at him confused.
"To do what?" Scott voiced my thoughts.
"To teach you myself." He then began dragging me through the halls, making me giggle. We stopped at my locker and he leant on Allison's (which was next to my own) and watched me, seemingly in a daze. I looked at him with a confused smile on my face.
"Are you ok, Stiles?" I asked him and he nodded with a smile.
"Yeah, you're just really beautiful." I blushed profusely and hit his chest lightly before going back to putting my things in my locker.
"Shut up." I chuckled and he grinned.
"Nope! I'll never stop telling you how beautiful you are." He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me. "Even if you're like a hundred years old and grey." He told me and put his head on my shoulder. I spun around in his arms with a scrunched up nose.
"You sure? I don't think I'd suit grey hair." I told him and he shook his head.
"You could have any hair colour and still look absolutely stunning, but I prefer the copper." I grinned up at him. I loved when he was like this. Outgoing and confident. I pressed my lips to his. He responded quickly and I tightened my grip on his neck, arching into him slightly. We were interrupted by someone clearing their throat, making Stiles groan in frustration and me to laugh.
"As much as I love this public display of affection..." Lydia began. "I'm gonna have to steal Aurora, since she promised she would spent lunch with Allison and I together." Stiles chuckled and nodded. I closed my locker, pecking his lips once more before Lydia began tugging me in the direction of the cafeteria.

"The what of who?" Lydia asked Allison.
"The beast of Gevaudan. Listen. 'A quadruped wolf - like monster, prowling the Auvergne and south Dordogne areas of France during the year 1764 to 1767. La Bete killed over a hundred people, becoming so infamous that the King Louie the 15th sent one of his best hunters to try and kill it.'" Allison told us and I listened intently whilst Lydia looked uninterested.
"Boring." She popped a piece of food in her mouth and I rolled my eyes.
"Keep going." I told Allison who smiled gratefully at me.
"Even the church eventually declared the monster a messenger of Satan."
"Still boring." I nudged Lydia who rolled her eyes and Allison continued.
"Cryptozoologists believe it may have been a subspecies of hoofed predator, possibly a mesonychid."
"Slipping into a coma bored."
"While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shape-shift into a man-eating monster."
"Any of this have anything to do with your family?" Lydia asked and Allison nodded.
"This. 'It is believed that la Bete was finally trapped and killed by a renown hunter who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature.' His name was Argent."
"Your ancestors killed a big wolf. So what?"
"Not just a big wolf. Take a look at this picture. What does it look like to you?" I tensed up. It looked exactly like the wolf in the store. Glowing eyes and everything. Lydie started to look dazed and I put a hand on her back.
"Lydia?" Allison questioned concerned.
"Lydia." I said, this time more firmly and it managed to snap her out of her daze.
"It looks - like a big - wolf." She got up and sent us a tight smile. "See you in History." I waved and something caught my eye. I grinned before turning back to Allison.
"I'll see you later, Allison." I told her with a smile, she sent me one back before she continued reading the book. I walked over to Stiles, placing a kiss on his cheek before I sat myself down in the seat next to his. I looked at Scott and raised an eyebrow.
"What's with the book?"
"He's trying to hide from Allison." Stiles told me with a roll of his eyes.
"No offense, Scott. But if anything, that book just makes it all the more obvious." I told him and Stiles nodded, agreeing with me.
"Besides," Stiles began. "She's reading anyway."
"So did you come up with a plan yet?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, I think so." Stiles said and bit into an apple.
"Does that mean you don't hate me now?"
"No. But your crap has infiltrated our life, so now I have to do something about it. "
"Plus, Stiles would definitely be a better Yoda than Derek." I added and Stiles nodded with a proud smirk.
"You better your cute little ass I would be." I laughed and blushed.
"Okay, yeah, you teach me."
"Yeah, I'll be your Yoda."
"Yeah, you...be my Yoda." Scott said with a smile.
"Your Yoda I will be." He said with a Yoda impression, making me giggle. Stiles grinned at me. "I said it backwards-" He said to Scott who interrupted him.
"Yeah, I - I know."
"All right, you know what? I definitely still hate you. Uh - huh. Oh, yeah." He picked up his books, plucked the one out of Scott's reach and his bag in one hand before grabbing mine with the other.

"Where are we going?" I asked Stiles. We had just been to his locker to put his things away and we were now walking down the halls and I had no clue what his idea was or where we were going.
"To coaches office." He told me and we turned a corner.
"Ok..." I began. "Why?"
"You'll see." He sent me a cheeky smile before we finally stopped at a closed door. He tried to opened it before cursing. "Damn, it's locked."
I dropped to my knees and Stiles' eyes widened. "W-what are you doing? R-Rora, as much as I wouldn't mind you doing this...now really is not the time." I put a hand on his leg and he let out a shaky breath.
"Calm down." I chuckled and pulled a bobby pin out of my hair. "I'm just going to pick the lock."
"You can pick locks?" He asked and I nodded, inserting the bobby pin into the lock. "Wow! That's awesome...and really hot." I chuckled and in a matter of minutes the door clicked. I stood up and opened the door. Stiles followed me in. We collected what was needed before heading back out, locking the door behind us.
"I have to go to my next class. Meet you on the field for free period?" He nodded with a grin and pecked my lips before I turned around, walking away with a smile on my face.

"Okay." Stiles put the bag on the bench before handing Scott something. "Now - put this on."
"Isn't this one of the heart rate monitors for the track team?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, we borrowed it." I rolled my eyes.
"Stole it." Scott interjected.
"Temporarily misappropriated." I corrected him and Stiles chuckled.
"Coach uses it to monitor his heart rate with his phone while he jogs, and you're gonna wear it for the rest of the day." Stiles explained to Scott.
"Isn't that coach's phone?" He asked.
"That, we stole." He admitted with a nod.
"Excuse you. You stole it." I defended.
"No. You did, you unlocked the door." He retorted.
"You took the phone out of the room!" I rolled my eyes and he opened his mouth to say something but closed it again when Scott interrupted us.
"Why?" He asked.
"All right, well, your heart rate goes up when you go wolf, right? When you're playing lacrosse, when you're with Allison, whenever you get angry. Maybe learning to control it is tied to learning to control your heart rate."
"Oh yeah! That makes sense." Stiles looked at me confused.
"Didn't you have to lean how to control it?" He asked and I shrugged and shook my head.
"Nope. I guess either angels don't have as hard a time to control it or we're just born knowing. I honestly don't know." Stiles nodded.
"That's fine." He kissed my cheek before we got back to the plan.
"So...like Incredible Hulk."
"Kind of like the Incredible Hulk, yeah."
"No, I'm like the Incredible Hulk."
"Yeah! You are!" I agreed with a grin. "The whole average dork when your calm, but when you get angry you turn into a raging animal."
"Just put the strap on." Stiles interjected and I laughed. Scott chuckled and obliged, putting the heart monitor. Stiles then duct taped Scott's hands behind his back.
"This isn't exactly how I want to spend my free period." Scott told us as we walked away from him and dropped the bags to the floor.
"Ready?" Stiles asked.
"No." Scott replied.
"Remember...don't get angry." I told him.
"Hey, do you want to start first?" Stiles asked me and I saw Scott smirk.
"I can't play." I told them and Stiles shook his head.
"What better way to learn then by throwing balls at Scott." I looked at Scott who still had the smug smirk on his face.
"Yeah, let Aurora have a turn." I raised an eyebrow at the challenge.
"Ok, I'll have a go." Stiles whooped and picked up at ball with the stick before handing it to me. He then stood behind it and put his hands over mine.
"Ok, so you have pull back like this." He said and pulled our arms back slowly. I felt his breath on my neck and shivered slightly and blushed, making Stiles chuckle. "Then, throw like this." He did the action but didn't let the ball out of the net and I nodded. We ran through it a couple more times before I did it by myself.
I pulled back before flinging the ball at Scott who just watched and laughed as the ball veered to his left. I picked another ball up and flung it. It went further left and I threw my head back and groaned in frustration and hoped that next time I would be able to hit him. And it did. Right in the nuts. He dropped to his knees, groaning in pain as Stiles and I laughed.
