❪𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗡 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝟴 , 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 ❫

CIEN never had the intention of becoming an idol, let alone singing and performing in front of her family. A rich future heiress, having everything in life and living a comfortable life, would such girl sacrifice all the richness just to perform and sing and dance infront of people? None expected the outcome. She was meant to sit and study business and once the time is right, she was meant to inherit the family business and join the business realm.

But fate does bring people to different lengths. As a young age, she came to a foreign land with barely any skills and knowledge of the country, with random people and new faces surrounding her, but she came. She decided to pursue her career and try out something out of the box. Despite her family's disagreement towards it, she still went on. Throughout her journey as an idol, the process, the steps, the evaluation, the diet, the intense training was something she had to go through. At some point in life, she felt like giving up but, she held onto the little hope of debuting one day.

And now, she was shining bright on stage, with thousands and thousands of fans cheering her on, making every second worth. When she felt like giving up, she turned to her members, who became her family and it comforted her, giving her the strength to continue forward without stopping.

❪ The screen shows an empty hotel room with a neatly made bed with few clothes on the duvet and a cup of coffee on the table near the bed. The room was dark since no light was turned on and no figure could be seen. After a few minutes, Cien came out from the bathroom drying her hair with the towel and a sheet-mask on her face with some patches at the back of her neck. She slowly walked to the window and pulled the curtain aside letting the sunlight enter the room. The room that was originally dark was suddenly bright and everything could be seen . ❫

❪ Cien smiled in satisfaction before sitting infront of the mirror and took a sip of the coffee and checked out herself in the mirror, then removed the sheet-mask ❫

"Good Morning everyone"

❪ She made a small peace sign and tapped her face, trying to absorb the serum from the mask. She didn't speak more and instantly started with her little skin care routine ❫

"This days, I am having neck soreness - I don't know if it's a word but yeah, my neck hurts and my brother recommended me this neck patch so I put it on and yeah, it kinda stings but in a good way. It feels like my soreness is being relieved"

❪ She showed the patch to the camera with a small smile as she proceed to apply a simple make-up that will make her look presentable throughout the day . ❫

❪ The video clip cuts Cien being on stage wearing a black shirt and a sweatpants holding the microphone, fooling around with the members as they were rehearsing for the concert and singing her lines from time to time. They were still in the middle of their world tour and had to do the soundcheck, to ensure no troubles when they perform later.❫

❪ The video then shows Cien sitting in a room that was dimmed, with dark green interior design and a huge plants around, some few light bulbs hanging down which added the aesthetic of the room. She was dressed in a white tops, a grey blazer and a matching grey trouser, hair straightened flat and she looked relaxed. ❫

Q. What does Seventeen mean to you?

❛ SEVENTEEN.... I don't know how am I supposed to express them in words, but if I were to really express it, I would call them my Home. Yes, my home. Because, they're one of my most cherished person and someone that I'll never let go even if the world ends. I'd do anything for them and their happiness, they're like my little brothers. They're my solace. That's what SEVENTEEN is, to me.❜

❪The video then cuts short. It showed another clip written as D-2 in bold yellow colours as it focused on Cien at the stage, getting her microphone and speakers ready. As the camera zooms in more , one could see the uncomfortable expression on her face, constantly massaging her forehead and looked at her manager beside her ]

" Jaesung - oppa, I think I got a fever again. Did you bring the medicine?"

❪ The manager who seemed to be well aware of her condition, immediately rushed back to the backstage and in 5 minutes , he came up with a lukewarm water in a thermoflask . Cien instantly gulped down the medicine with the water and sat on the chair, waiting for the medicine to start working while the manager pulled up a small blanket over Cien to make her feel a little warm ❫

❝ Actually , Cien-noona has been feeling unwell for the past three days.. She constantly throws up and has a hard time breathing with the fever . This started when we were on a plane to Manila and everyone was really worried about her but she would smile back at us and say that she is alright and never miss the rehearsal or practice, when I could clearly hear her throwing up every night at the hotel. So I forcefully pulled her out of bed threatening that I will call the ambulance if she doesn't cooperate with me and took her to the hospital because I was too worried ❞

❪ The camera moved to HOSHI and DOKYEOM who were playing around and dancing to JUST DO IT as they sang to it while the members joins them in ❫

" We decided to make the dance more happier and dance along with carats today "

❪ HOSHI happily said to the camera before he continues dancing. Soon the camera cut off and changed to a new location which was the make-up room. WONWOO was on his chair on his phone as the hair stylist works on his hair. A staff member came and passed him a bowl of porridge which he ordered earlier. He turned towards his fellow member JUN who was done with his make up

"Is noona still asleep?"

❪ JUN nodded and signalled him to look over at the corner of the room and saw the girl occupying the long couch with a blanket over her, sleeping soundly. ❫

"Yeah, she needs sleep for the medicine to work soon. The doctor said that her body is overworked"

Q. What type of person is Ciēn?

❛ Cien - noona is someone that everyone needs in their life. I am not saying this because of the camera but I really meant it . We bicker a lot but always make up to each other with food or going to play badminton together. The whole make-up room will feel a little empty without noona and for real, she plays a really important role in the group. She knows to hide her emotions really well and it's hard to find out what exactly she is thinking or what she is gonna do at some point. ❜

❪ CIEN woke up as the make-up room got a little noisier. One of the managers saw that the girl woke up so, he brought the thermometer and quickly checked her fever which resulted that she was better and the medicine worked. She felt a lot better and was handed a small bowl of warm porridge which she quickly ate it before everyone were called up to go on stage . They did their group cheer with WOOZI leading the cheer for today and hugged each other before making this epic introduction stage ❫

❛ Even though I am sick, I didn't want other members to worry much because at the start of tour, Dino, Jeonghan , Scoups got sick and I don't want the members to be worried anymore or add pressure to them. I didn't want to stop either, because...CARATS had gathered all together and waited for us to perform and how could I disappoint them by not showing up because of my sickness? There is something that I've always told myself whenever I am performing or sick, I say to myself, ' unless you're at the point of death, keep dancing and singing. fighting!' ❜

Cien laughed as the staff gasped

❛ Sounds toxic but yeah, that's my motivation to move forward ❜

❪ The camera then showed the members performing on stage. Soon, the first segment came to an end, the members were greeting the fans and before it was Cien's turn, her face didn't really look good and rather had trouble breathing. Joshua who was beside her noticed and quietly asked if she was okay and Cien nodded her head putting up a smile. As Cien's turn came, she smiled brightly and took a deep breath ❫

"HELLO MANILA!!! Your graceful love Cien is here!!!"

"I hope CARATS can enjoy today to the fullest with us!!"

❪ The fans cheered hard as Cien raised her brows with a smirk at the camera and then everyone went crazy which calmed down after few seconds and giving the other members their turn to introduce and welcome the fans ❫

❪ Soon the members got down the stage and that's when Cien collapse down on the floor before even reaching the resting room. Mingyu immediately caught her then carried her in his arms as he ran fast towards the emergency room while Woozi frantically called out for the emergency staff. The emergency staff immediately brought the oxygen mask, attaching to her as Cien tried her best to keep her consciousness while Hoshi quickly took off her shoes and fanned her, giving her some air. After a few minutes she complained about throwing up where a staff handed her a black plastic and she instantly threw up while Mingyu patted her back with a worried expression, helping her hold her hair. ❫

"Do you want to go to hospital?"

"No"

"Noona health comes first, your condition isn't good at all"

"It's okay, give me the pills. I'll manage it"

❪ Cien got up without her shoes and walked towards the closet and quickly changed her dress, ignoring the concerned looks from the members and staffs. She didn't want to leave the show midway and wanted to carry on. ❫

❛ Cien is sometimes really stubborn and forgets to take care of herself and put others first as always and especially the members and CARATS. Her health was really bad during the tour because of the overwork and her not getting enough sleep but still she didn't want to leave and rather take medicine to continue on to the stage. Sometimes it really amazed me at how Cien is able to handle things so well on stage and manages to hide her sickness to the fans, even fooling us that she is completely fine. But I often hear her crying to sleep because her body would ache all over and she'd take cold shower to calm her body ❜

❪ The concert continued on and Cien acted like nothing happened and being her natural self, interacted with her lovely fans. As soon as the concert ended with them saying farewell to their fans, Cien immediately ran backstage ❫

"Eonnie, my headache is getting too much. I can't control anymore, my whole body hurts"

❪ The clip shows that without even changing, after her microphones and speakers were removed, she was laid down on the emergency stretcher with a Bag Valve mask attached to her and soon taken to the nearest hospital by the ambulance ❫

❛ I was so stubborn and felt guilty for being sick but, seeing thousands of fans cheering for us and waiting us with full enthusiasm, I didn't want to disappoint anyone and carried it through the whole long concert. My breath was becoming heavy and when performing JUST DO IT , my headache acted up again but still I tried to lessen the power I use in dancing and took rest as much as I can on stage ignoring the pain because whenever I perform, I feel like I don't feel the pain anymore ❜

Q. Even after being sick what made you keep going?

❛ CARATS and SEVENTEEN. Without my members, I would have given up a long time ago during my trainee days but, they always supported me and was there for me. After debut, our CARATS came and I feel like I need to try my best and be a better version of myself , be that artist that the fans are proud to happily say 'that's someone I look up to and admire' and be a daughter,a sister that my family could be proud of ❜
