Seungmin waited outside Maya's front door for her to go out. She had been dismissed from hospital only a couple days after Tzuyu had told her about their relationship and today she was returning to school.

As soon as she opened the door and left the house, he ran up to her. He began to ask her questions but she acted as though he were not there at all. Several times, Seungmin would stand in front of her but Maya would just avoid him by either crossing the road or walking around him.

Eventually growing tired, Seungmin pulled her arm fiercely, causing her to turn around and before he could say anything, she slapped him. He clutched his cheek and looked at her.

"That's for not being the one to tell me." Then she slapped his other cheek. "That's for making me fall in love with you." Then she shoved him violently with her spare arm, causing him to fall into a nearby bush with thorns. "And that's for the false hope." Maya turned away from him and walked off. Slowly, Seungmin got out of the bush and winced in pain.

"What did you do?" He heard a voice ask and looked to his side to see a boy about his age with blonde hair.

"None of your business," Seungmin said through gritted teeth as he began to pick the thorns out of his skin.

"Maya is an interesting girl. One second she's an angel and the next she's a demon." He looked in the direction the girl had left in briefly before looking back at the detective. "I'm Lix by the way."

"I'm Seungmin."

"I know."

He furrowed his eyebrows.

"You know?"

"I'm a friend of Maya, Jinnie and Liv."

"Did they tell you anything?"

"Well, yes but I already knew everything even before anything happened to Liv."

"You did?"

"Yep, and I might just be the answer to one of your biggest worries."

"One of my biggest worries?"

"I know a way of getting Jinnie out of all of this."

"You do?"

"Yeah but this might not be the best place to talk about this. Meet me at the park closest to your school at five pm, got it?"

"Sure."

With that Seungmin began to walk to school but Lix stopped him by whistling.

"You sure you want to go to school like that?"

"What's wrong with going to school like this?"

"You have blood stains all over your shirt."

Seungmin stomped into the classroom as soon as he got to school. Maya stood in a corner talking to one of her friends when he approached her and violently pinned her to the wall. Everyone in the room hushed and watched the act. Some people even filmed it but he didn't care, Maya on the other hand was bright pink.

"You're going to pay for what you did this morning," he said through gritted teeth.

"You deserved it."

"I deserved it? I deserved to be pushed into a thorn bush?"

"I didn't know it had thorns."

"Well that makes it so much better, doesn't it?"

"I'm sorry, okay?"

"Sorry? Trust me, Maya, you're not sorry just yet. Wait a good couple of days and you will be. You'll be very, very sorry."

"And what if I am truly sorry? I didn't mean to push you into a thorn bush."

"But you meant to push me into a bush just because I'm dating Tzuyu now? I don't even get why you're so angry about it. Weren't you the one who said I should?"

"I said that out of anger! I didn't mean it."

"Well then I guess today you learnt a vital lesson: think before you speak. And until you put that skill to action, you'll have to face the consequences of your own words."

"I said that long before I started having feelings for you and besides don't act like all of this is new to you. You know my feelings for you and I know you feel the same way so why on earth are you doing this?"

"I waited so long for you and suffered so much, it's only fair that you go through the same." He finally let go of her and left the room. At first, Maya kept her gaze on the ground but then slowly lifted it up and glanced around the room until finally her eyes landed on a boy who stood at the back of the room with tears threatening to escape his eyes. He quickly left the room and the girl cursed at herself once again under her breath. She broke her promise to him once again.
