Seungmin stared out of the window, completely ignoring the girl in front of him. Tzuyu heaved a sigh once she realised he hadn't paid attention to anything she had said. Waving a hand in front of his face, she brought him back to earth.

"What?" he asked bitterly earning a short chuckle of disbelief from the girl.

"Did you hear anything I said?"

"No."

"Wow, Minnie. Just wow." She sighed as she picked up her mug of coffee and took a sip out of it. "I said-"

"You asked whether I heard what you said, not whether I want you to repeat."

"Should I dismiss this date then go mess Maya up?"

He glared at her.

"We made a deal-"

"I know, and you aren't following it."

"What do you mean? You think I'm here on a date with you for the sake of it? And besides why on Earth would I be dating you?"

"Our deal was you give a chance. We are dating, yes, but you pay no attention to be because of that brat."

"Don't you ever call her that again!"

They both glared at each other, intimidated by the other but not willing to show it.

It was well past five pm when Seungmin got a call from Woojin. Since it was clear Lix wasn't going to meet him there anymore, he answered it knowing all the elder wanted him to do was work some more.

"Hello?" He asked over the phone.

"Detective Kim! Have you heard the wonderful news? Oh, of course you have! You oversaw this case! You were probably the one who got him to confess anyway!" Woojin's enthusiastic tone worried Seungmin but he tried his best to keep his voice nonchalant.

"What are you on about?"

"Wait, you don't know?"

"Don't know what?"

"The murderer, you know the one who killed Olivia, Jisung-"

"Yeah, yeah, that murderer, got it but what about him?"

"He turned himself in!"

"What?" Seungmin shrieked.

"I know! It's amazing, isn't it?"

"Where are you? Where is he?"

"The police station. Hurry."

Woojin didn't even need to tell him to hurry, Seungmin was already sprinting down the roads and streets. But he wasn't immediately heading to the police station. He need to go somewhere first.

He knocked impatiently on the door, repeating every two seconds until Maya opened up in annoyance.

"What is it, Seungmin?"

"Hyunjin turned himself in!"

"What? Why? How? You're kidding. You have to be kidding. Tell me your kidding!"

"I wish I was! I literally just got a call from the Head Detective. He confirmed it. We need to go. We need to stop this."

He grabbed Maya's hand tightly and dragged her along with him. He was such faster than her and she kept on begging him to slow down a bit but he wouldn't. He couldn't. His feet disagreed. He needed to get to the police station.

"Detective Kim," Woojin approached him when he arrived, sweaty and out of breath. "It's nice to see you care so much about the case that you ran all the way over here." He looked past him to see Maya in the small state. "And you brought Miss Humphreys too. You are way ahead of me. I was just about to call her."

"Where is he?" Seungmin demanded between pants. "Where is Hyun-"

He was interrupted when the door burst open. Both Seungmin and Maya's eyes widened. It couldn't be.

Before them, standing just a metre away was Hyunjin looking just as confused as they were.

"Mr Hwang, so great to have you join us so quickly," Woojin smiled at him. "Let me take you to see the man now."

When Woojin was a safe distance ahead of them, Hyunjin turned to the girl and the detective in confusion.

"What is happening?" He asked. "Who the heck did this?"

"I have no idea," Seungmin ran a hand through his hair but I don't like it one bit.

They all approached the room with the boy who had taken the blame for Hyunjin.

"This is it," Woojin chirped, way too excited by this. In a swift movement, he opened the door, revealing a boy dressed completely in black with handcuffs over his hands, staring down at the ground in pretend shame.

They all froze.

The world froze.

Time froze.

He lifted his head a bit and gave them a slight smile. Everything seemed to spin and they all felt sick.

Felix took the blame for Hyunjin.
