- Chapter Seventeen -

The second you all entered the wormhole, you quickly noticed that you all arrived at the hospital.

"Welcome to Mighty Med," Oliver stated, "The world's best superhero hospital."

"First I get to travel through a wormhole and now I'm in a superhero hospital?" Leo asked amazed, "This is the best day ever!"

"Are you serious right now?" you asked.

"If you don't count the part where our brother got blasted and is about to die!" Bree exclaimed.

"Wow, you really know how to ruin a guy's day," Leo looked at Bree.

"Here! Put him over here!" Oliver instructed, motioning to a hospital bed. Adam then ran over, laying Chase down.

Then you saw an older man enter as Kaz ran over to him, "Horace! Chase was blasted by the Incapacitator, he needs immediate medical attention!"

"Oh, no! Not Chase! This is terrible! Who's Chase?" The doctor known as Horace asked.

Oliver then raised Chase's arm, "Him."

You then slapped Oliver's hand, ordering him to put it down. The doctor then walked over to Chase's limp body and stuck out his hand, "Nice to meet you," he looked at Chase for a moment as he turned to face you all, "He's not very friendly is he?"

"Don't you see he's unconscious," you stated, motioning to Chase as he nodded.

"So, what type of superhero is Chase? Other than an impolite one?" he asked.

"No, no. He's not a superhero. He's human with a bionic chip that gives him super abilities," Bree explained.

"Except for the ability to say hello. Chase you're embarrassing us!" Adam whispered as you and Bree hit him.

"What's going on? Who are these people?" a girl in a pink suit asked, as she walked by.

"I'll explain later but the short version is: Bionic arm, super strength, super fast, super electro, and super unconscious," Kaz pointed to each of you.

"Really? Super electro?" you asked as Kaz shrugged.

The girl waved as Leo spoke, "Can you help him?"

"Don't worry, I have everything under control. Chase will be perfectly fine. Kaz, Oliver, follow me," the doctor, Horace motioned to the side to speak privately.

You then moved a bit closer to Chase, checking his body for injuries seeing none. Then, Kaz and Oliver strode over, with their chest puffed out a bit, which you thought was weird but paid no mind to it.

"Wow, these guys seem really confident," Leo nodded.

"Thank you for bringing us here and finding a cure for Chase," Adam stated, "I have to admit I had my doubts."

"Well, I never doubted Oliver for a second," Bree stated holding her hands over her heart, "He has such a trust worthy face, just look at him!"

You then saw Oliver making weird faces, "Oh, yeah. Such a cute, trust worthy face," you stated sarcastically.

"This orange is really sour," Oliver explained, as he continued to make weird faces.

"Awww," Bree smiled walking over to Oliver, "Look at his weird cute, twisted face," Bree smiled as she pinched Oliver's cheek.

You and Leo stayed by Chase's side as Adam walked away. Then the girl spoke, "What's with that?"

"Oh, she has a crush on Oliver. I'll explain later, but there really is no logical explanation," Kaz informed.

"Listen, we need to stop the Incapacitator. How long until Chase is good to go?" Leo asked.

"Eh, you know, uh. I wouldn't really wait around for Chase," Kaz chuckled.

"Yeah. I think some of us should focus on stopping the Incapacitator, and some of us should stay here with Chase, who will be fine. I'm fully confident," Oliver said, as you rose a brow.

"Well, you do look confident, so okay," Leo nodded.

"Alright Leo, [Name], and Kaz will stay behind with Chase, and I'll go with Oliver because he...is...cute!" Bree explained, smiling at Oliver flirtatiously.

"So...are...you!" Oliver flirted back.

"Stop it, stop it," you groaned, watching the two flirt.

"I'll...come...too!" Skylar said, wedging herself in between the two love birds. You chuckled quietly, clearing seeing the jealousy that she had.

"Okay. Uh, Skylar will go with you guys and Adam will stay with us," Kaz explained.

"Oh, cool. What's this thing do?" Adam asked, holding a reflex hammer.

"That's a reflex hammer," Oliver answered.

"Oh," Adam threw the hammer behind him as it hit a person's head. As they stood Adam smiled, "Wow, he's got great reflexes."

"Okay, new plan. Adam's on your team," Kaz pointed out as he walked over to you and Leo.

It's been awhile and you were sitting beside Chase's feet, as Leo stood to the side, while Kaz paced in front of you.

"So aren't you going to do something to help Chase?" Leo asked.

"Yeah, uh, I just have to give him a hearing test," Kaz informed, walking closer to Chase, "Chase, you're in what hospital right now?"

"He can't speak," you flatly stated.

"He's failed his hearing test," Kaz informed.

"You have no idea what you're doing, do you?" Leo asked.

"Before I answer that question. Do you have any bionic ability that tells when someone is lying?" Kaz asked.

"No," Leo answered.

"Then I know exactly what I'm doing," Kaz replied, looking in the other direction.

"You're lying!" you and Leo exclaimed in unison.

"So you do have a bionic lie-detecting ability!" Kaz exclaimed, looking at both you and Leo.

"No! We're just not stupid!" Leo motioned to the two of you, as he moved back to Chase's side.

"Chase needs help, now," you stated firmly.

"But the only person smart enough to figure out how to cure Chase is Chase, and [Name]," Leo explained.

"What?" you asked as you looked at Leo.

"Don't you have super intelligence?" Leo asked.

"No, you should know! Why would you ask?"

"Because you're smart!" Leo stated.

"I'm not that smart. I don't know how to cure him. Only he can do that," you motioned to Chase.

"Hold on a second. You just gave me an idea," Kaz snapped his fingers running off.

"You really thought I had super intelligence?" you asked, looking at Leo.

"Of course. You're smarter than most students, and Chase said you're even smarter then a few of his students, and they have super intelligence," Leo explained.

"Really?" you asked.

"Yes. Chase thinks highly of you and it made me believe that you had super smarts," Leo explained.

You gave a nod as Kaz rolled in a table of equipment.

"This is a mirror physical- physical- it's a brain switching machine," Kaz explained, "We also use it to slice deli meat," he chuckled.

"You're gonna transfer Chase's into yours, cure Chase, and make a sandwich?" Leo asked, "Because I'm starving."

"No, I'm not taking his entire brain, just his contif- contif- his smarty bits," Kaz explained, as he clicked the machine on.

Then you saw a yellow glow transferring to Chase's mind, as a red glow transferred into Kaz's mind. They both twitched as you and Leo watched, until Kaz stopped the machine.

"Did it work?" you and Leo asked in unison.

"The only way to know conclusively would've been if we measured my base mind intelligence, before the transfer, but based on my based mind intelligence level is yeah, I say it worked," Kaz nodded.

"So now you can cure Chase," Leo motioned to Chase.

"Yes, but more importantly. Turkey or roast beef?" Kaz asked, holding up a tray of turkey and roast beef.

"Really? Right now!" you exclaimed.

"Dude! Obviously roast beef," Leo pointed to the beef.

You, Kaz, and Leo stood beside Chase as Leo spoke, "Have you figured out the problem?"

"Yes. This sandwich needs more mayonnaise," Kaz replied.

"Kaz!" you exclaimed.

"Also, it seems that Chase's chip was destabilized by an access of negative filiation, but we should be able to cure him with a positive electrostatic pulse," Kaz informed.

You would've done it, but you didn't want to hurt him and make it worse. Kaz then shocked Chase, making him jolt up. Chase looked around startled.

"You did it. It worked! This sandwich is better with mayonnaise!" Leo exclaimed, "Oh, and Chase is cured!"

"Check me out!" Chase exclaimed, pointing to the glove on his head, "I'm a rooster!"

"You have got to be kidding me," you muttered.

Chase then took off the glove off his head, "What is wrong with me?!"

"You were badly injured so we had to temporarily switch your intelligence with Kaz's, so we could figure out how to cure you," Leo explained.

"I, have Kaz's intelligence? But I don't want to be...what's the word?" Chase then grabbed ahold of Leo, "I can't think of the word! My thinking place hurts!"

Then Chase's watch started beeping.

"What's happening?" you asked, as the beeping continued.

Kaz then pushed you and Leo to the side, away from Chase, "Chase's injury has created a hardwire virus in his chip. It's causing his chip to generate protonic energy. He's stable for now, but if he's blood pressure gets too high, he'll explode," Kaz explained.

"This is heavy," you stated, as you ran your hand through your hair.

"We can not let him know that, or his blood pressure will go sky rocket! We need to keep him calm," Leo informed, as an alarm went off.

Chase then began to yell as he jumped off the bed, "IT'S AN ALARM! ARE WE UNDER ATTACK?! WHAT'S GOING ON?!"

Then the doctor from earlier, Doctor Horace walked by, "Don't worry, it's only a drill."

"A drill for what?!" Leo asked.

"To test how panicky everyone gets, when I set off a terrifying loud alarm," Horace explained.

You glared at the doctor as he looked at Chase, "You passed the test. You also passed the hearing test, you're in the state of panic."

You glared hard at the doctor, getting ready to lung at him as you heard Chase's watch beeping. You glared at the doctor once more, making him shrink back. You then turned to see Chase looking around frantically, his hand clutching his chest, breathing heavily. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

Kaz and Leo tried calming him down, but it wasn't working, so you decided to take charge. You walked forward, placing your hands on his shoulders.

"Chase, I need you to calm down, okay? Do it for us, and if you can't do it for me. Everything is going to be alright, it was just a drill nothing more," you spoke, as he looked at you with wide eyes as he breathed heavily.

"Look at me," you said, holding his face with both hands, "Breath, everything is fine now. There's nothing to worry about alright?" he nodded as his breathing slowed, "Okay, just lay back and relax, you'll be okay," you smiled, as he nodded leaning back on the bed.

"I can't believe she did it. It was like Natasha trying to calm Bruce Banner," Leo whispered as Kaz shot him a confused look.

Once Chase was calm, he would watch with alerted eyes as people would walk by, so Kaz decided to give Chase his own patient room, away from any people or distractions, so that he wouldn't go into panic and get his blood pressure too high.

You and Chase were alone as Kaz and Leo left the room. Chase was on his phone as you read a book that Kaz had offered you.

'Scare him. Make him go into panic and explode.'

'Don't do it. Save him and keep him calm.'

Then the door opened, snapping you out of your daze. Kaz and Leo walked in, while Leo was holding a cup of tea.

"Hey, buddy! I know that being in a strange place can make you tense, so I brought some Arable Tea," Leo smiled.

"And I thought it would help to listen to relaxing whale songs," Kaz informed, as he started to make whale sounds, causing you to face palm.

"Stop!" Leo exclaimed.

"I didn't even get to the chorus," Kaz stated, as Chase phone buzzed.

"I just got a text from Adam. Those guys are on their way to fight the Incapacitator in Las Vegas. We have to go help them!" Chase jumped off, ready to bolt out as Leo stopped him.

"We can't. Fighting is stressful and you can't be stressed out right now!" Leo explained.

"Adam and Bree are in danger, and I'm gonna go help them," Chase stated running out.

You quickly jumped up and followed Kaz and Leo out the room. After a few minutes of searching for Chase, you three stopped, not being able to find him.

"Now what?" Leo asked.

"Uh, okay you and [Name] go find Chase, and I'll get the invisible ambulance to take us to Las Vegas, but it might take awhile. I forgot where it's parked, and it's invisible" Kaz explained.

Leo shook his head as he ran, only to get hit by air, grunting as he fell backwards. You couldn't help but laugh, seeing him go down.

"Oh, good you found it," Kaz laughed along with you.

After a little while, you and Leo were able to find Chase, who was walking down one of the halls. You quickly explained the plan, as you three made your way to the invisible ambulance, where Kaz was waiting.

When you all made it to Las Vegas, you all got out, seeing the Incapacitator ready to take out Skylar.

Leo then walked up from behind the Incapacitator, "Hello Incapacitator," Leo greeted as he punched him, causing him to fly.

You quickly took notice that there was three Incapacitators. One of them knocked down Skylar and Bree, without any hesitation you quickly ran in, jumping onto a pole and planting your feet onto the center of the Incapacitator's chest, kicking him full force.

The Incapacitator stumbled back, anger now flashing in his eyes, he shot a blast at your feet, causing you to fall back with a groan. Skylar jumped up swinging, but the Incapacitator blocked her hit, pushing her back into Bree, causing them to fall once more.

Now you were pissed, "Oh, now you've done it." Before you knew it, hundreds of volts of electricity surged through your body. Your eyes grew dark as you shot towards him, as he did the same. As both electricity clashed together, it made a greenish-blue color. It looked as if they were dancing, twirling themselves together.

When the Incapacitator stopped, you were no where in sight. Since the Incapacitor was distracted, Bree took the chance and super sped around him. Skylar took it upon herself to help Oliver out, defeating one of the other Incapacitators, as Chase, Leo, and Adam took on the third one.

You were perched on one of the structures, hiding behind the Incapacitator as he threw Bree back, causing her to land on her back. As she looked up, she saw you on top of the structure that was behind the Incapacitator.

She thought you looked like a black panther, hiding in the shadows, ready for the perfect moment to pounce on it's prey. As he lifted his arm, creating a blast to knock out Bree, you smiled.

'Take him or her out. There is no need to let them live.'

'Make the right choice, do what is right.'

And that's exactly what you did.

You jumped, your legs locking around the Incapaciatator's neck. You placed your hands on the ground, pulling your legs forward to bring him crashing to the ground. You then stood up, eyes turning back to normal as Bree stood up wide eyed. Before she could utter a word out, all three Incapacitators blew you, Bree, and the rest of the team back.

"I hope you're all are ready to be destroyed," the Incapacitator stated.

"I have a plan. Chase, jump off the tower!" Kaz exclaimed.

"Do you maybe have a different plan?" Chase asked.

"You have protonic energy building up in your bionic chip," Kaz explained, glancing at the Incapacitator, "You can't let him absorb it, or he'll be unstoppable!"

You knew what Kaz was trying to do, and it seemed to be working.

"He was protonic energy in him? I'll take that!" the Inacapacitator lifted his hand, absorbing the energy from Chase, causing him to cry out in pain.

"What's he doing to Chase?!" Bree asked, as Chase fell limp. You and Adam then crawled over to Chase.

"Chase is fine. All the Incapacitator did was remove the virus," Kaz smirked.

"Virus? What Virus?" the Incapacitator asked.

"You know, the one that makes you explode if your blood pressure gets excessively high. Like if you realize that some kid in high school just tricked you and ruined your entire plan," Kaz smiled.

"WHAT?!"

"Yeah like that. Everybody duck!" Kaz yelled.

You all then ducked, shielding away as the Incapacitator exploded, releasing all his energy, powering the city. You all then got up, smiling at one another.

"You did it, it worked!" Leo exclaimed.

"Did you ever doubt me?" Kaz asked.

"Yeah. Since the hearing test," Leo replied, as you nodded in agreement.

"Wait, Adam's missing. Where's Adam?" Chase asked, as you all looked around until you spotted him.

"There he is," you pointed out chuckling.

"Oh, man. I'm awful at hiding," Adam sighed, as he walked towards you all.

"You may be awful at hiding, but your looks certainly make up for it," you chuckled, pointing at his nerdy glasses.

When you all got back to the Mighty Med Hospital, Horace helped Kaz and Chase switched their intelligence back.

"Did it work? Please tell me if our intelligence switched back, please," Chase begged.

Kaz chuckled, "Check it out. I'm a dairy cow." You all looked to see Kaz playing with a blown up glove.

"It worked alright," you smiled.

"Oliver, Kaz, congratulations! Well done!" Horace shook their hands, "See? That's how you respond to an offer of a hand shake. Not like this," he demonstrated a sleeping face.

"He was unconscious, and you better leave before I make you unconscious," you threatened, as Horace ran out.

Then you saw Bree run over to Skylar, "Hey, Skylar. Listen, I am really sorry for underestimating you. Superheroes are pretty great, with or without powers."

"I'm sorry too. I guess it's not important if you're bionic or have superheroes, or completely in-special like Kaz," Skylar smiled, "Anyone can be a hero," Skylar patted Bree's arm, walking away.

"What was all that about?" you asked, leaning against the counter that was behind Bree.

"I'll show you when we head home," Bree explained, as Oliver walked over.

"Oliver, I'm going to miss you. You're so smart, and kind, and you remind me of someone, but I just can't think of who," Bree held Oliver's hands.

"Oh, is it Thomas the tank engine? I get that a lot," Oliver explained, "I mean personality wise, I'm not a train," he corrected himself.

"No it's not a make believe train. It's someone I know," Bree stated.

"He reminds me of Chase, your brother," Skylar pointed out.

"Yes! Chase, you remind me of Chase!" Bree's face then turned to a look of horror, "You remind me of Chase ewww!" Bree exclaimed, letting go.

You just chuckled, seeing Skylar's jealousy. It was very amusing. You then walked over to Bree, "You know, Chase is not that bad."

"Excuse me?" Bree asked, as you held up your hands in surrender, "What? Don't look at me like that."

"Bye, guys. Sorry for breaking most of your stuff," Adam apologized, as he broke the door.

"The door opens automatically," Oliver stated.

"Not anymore," Adam smiled, as he ran over and sat in the cart.

You then noticed that there was three seats. "Wait, where do I sit?" you asked.

"Just sit in one of their laps," Bree motioned to the three boys, causing you to groan.

You then sat in Leo's lap as he shook his head, "Nope."

Leo then shifted you over to Adam, "As much as I like you here, it isn't going to work. Chase, I think this is yours," Adam said, shifting you over as if you an object.

You then felt Chase's arms wrap around you, catching you by surprise.

"I don't want you to fall off," he explained as you nodded feeling uncomfortable, "Thank you, for also calming me down earlier."

"Anytime," you replied, shifting your legs onto Adam and Leo's laps. They both gave you a look as you smiled at them as Bree speed back home.
