My arms begin to feel numb after holding the girl. I ignore it and follow the way Ace told me to go. I have been hearing footsteps and loud bangs, but I'm not sure where it is coming from.

I whip my head around when I hear another loud bang. Chains have fallen to the ground. I didn't realize that they lined the walls. Most are still up and swinging against each other. Some have fallen, that must be what I am hearing.

I hope Ace is okay, there are so many hallways, I'm just trying to go the way that makes me go around the cracked floor. I just want out of here.

As I walk down the next hallway, I trip over something. I catch myself as fast as I could without dropping the girl. I look down and see bones covering the floor. I hear loud steps behind me. I got knocked off my feet before I could do anything. I try to take the hit so the girl doesn't get hurt, but I end up landing on her. She doesn't react in any way, so maybe it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it was going to.

"Stupid angel." The demon says with a deep, snarling voice. I grab the dagger from my waist band and stand up straight. My instincts kick in when he runs at me. I throw myself out of the way, making it run into the wall behind me.

"I wonder how you would feel if I ate your friend here." He growls and my heart beat goes faster. I don't know the girl but I don't want her to die.

"Do it and I will rip your fucking head off." I snarl, making the demon laugh. He is in human form, of course, that doesn't mean I won't kill him. He is far from human. I watch him grab her and my blood boils. I move to attack him and he snaps her neck.

I freeze in place, watching her body fall to the ground, lifeless.

"What are you going to do now bitch." He says and I stare him down. My body is tingling at this point and I can't hold down my anger. I feel my wings come out and the fire begins to form on my hands.

I run at him with a dagger in one hand and fire in the other. I kick him in the chest and force the fire to leave my hands and transfer to him. When the fire does nothing I frown. Right, he is a demon, of course fire won't hurt him.

He grabs my hair, but I cut his hand as bad as I could so he would let me go and I have the upper hand.

He reaches for me again but I just flip over him. I jumped onto his back, which was quite hard because he is so much taller than me. I drag the dagger down into his shoulder and he screams. I feel the warm blood touch my hands as I put more pressure down. I then pull out and bring it back down. I do it over and over again. I didn't realize that he had fallen and I was on top of him until I was standing up. Blood covering my face and pooled up underneath him.

I use the back of my hand to get some of the blood off, then I run over to the girl. Maybe she is still alive. I keep the hope in my heart when I check her pulse. No heartbeat.

Tears begin to fall from my eyes. I was supposed to protect her. I set her down gently, and stand up. I take a minute to send a prayer, then I turn around. Leaving the poor girl behind was not something I wanted to do but I can't carry her when she's dead.

I walk over the demon's body and begin to walk to the right walkway. Before I could react, a hand clamps down on my shoulder and a cloth is put over my face. I know not to breathe but my body needs air. I take a deep breath and everything goes dark.
