Not even ten minutes into the ride, I find myself annoyed at the boys. Ace and Mason made me sit in the back when I called shotgun and I called AUX but Mason refused to give it to me.

As a result, I pout. Of course, this does nothing to Mason, but Ace occasionally looks at me from the rear-view mirror, not knowing I see him doing it. It's funny how they can be perfectly fine, playing their shitty music, making me suffer.

"Where are we going?" I yell over the music. Slapping Mason's shoulder, making sure he gets the memo to turn the horrid music down.

"We have to go north, to the Dark Sea. It takes us to a route that transfers us into the place I call the Unknown." Yet again, he seems unfazed answering my question. His reply had chills going down my body.

"This is totally not creepy at all." Mason states and I give a weak smile. This trip is going to be absolute hell.

"It is a little frightening, but it's not as bad as you make it out to be. You two will be fine." Ace says and turns up the volume once again. I'm assuming he is done with the conversation. I still have so many questions, so does Mason. He runs his fingers through his hair, and glances over at Ace. I wonder what's going through his head at this moment.

I watch my town disappear behind us, as I slowly drift into a slumber.

I wake up to someone yelling. I frantically look around and see the two boys standing outside the car. I can't hear what they are fighting about, but I do see that we are stopped at a gas station that I have never been to before.

I roll my eyes when I see Mason throwing a tantrum. I decide to get out and see what they are fussing about, not realizing what I'm about to get myself into.

"What in God's name are you two fighting about?" I exclaimed, surprising them both with my random outburst.

"Ace thinks your favorite snack is M&M's but I know its Cheezits!" Mason pouts, and I raise my eyebrows.

"I like both, why are you guys arguing over something that stupid? You woke me up from my nap!" I state, putting my hands on my hip. Ace doesn't say anything, he just points at Mason.

"Do not point at me, you refused to put them back!" Mason yells. They are so childish, I can't. I grab both snacks from their hands and I get back in the car. They can kiss my ass.

As I'm eating my fill of snacks, I notice a few men standing right outside the doors to the gas station. They seem to be watching Ace, I'm not sure why, It's strange. I wait impatiently for Ace and Mason to pump the gas, the men making me feel weary.

I roll my window down when I see one of them walking towards us.

"Uh, can you guys hurry? There is a guy walking towards us and he is remarkably creepy." I tell them and Ace turns around to see what I'm talking about. He turns around to tell Mason, which was just a mumble, making it hard for me to hear what he said.

"What did he say?" I ask Mason in a panic. He just shakes his head and gets in the car, Ace following him not long after. Ace rushes out of the gas station, making me grab onto something so I don't slide over.

"Ace, what is going on?" I pleaded. The way him and Mason are acting are scaring me more than I was before. I hate when people keep things from me.

"They were demons, you couldn't see their true form because they are the more powerful ones who can mask what they really look like." Ace explains and my heart beats faster.

"That's great." I mutter to myself, but I hear Mason chuckle to my statement. I get comfortable in the back seat, trying to not think of everything that has happened. The pain in my back is gone, making it much easier to relax. I just want to get away from here.

"We have to be more careful, they want you more than I thought." Ace says, making me groan. I don't want to be wanted by anyone. This is all shit.

"So, what happens when we get attacked? I don't know how to fight, I don't even know what a demon's weakness is!" I admitted.

"We are going to stop at a friends place, let the two of you get trained up for a few days before we even attempt to save her." He assured us with this, but it also makes me nervous. What happens if we stay there for to long and Mia ends up dead when we find her? What if she is dead already, and all of this would be for nothing?

"Trust me, Mia is fine, they don't want her Adina. They want you and will do anything to get you."

Great. Just great.
