The room was too loud.

Maybe it was just me, but I swear it felt like everything was too much. Voices too loud, scents too strong, and the darkness neverending.

Right now there wasn't anybody in the room apart from me. But a tap was dripping, and it was driving me crazy. My breathing was getting too loud for my liking, and my thoughts were overrunning my head.

A clock chimed. My head was all but ready to explode.

I heard a cart being wheeled in. A creaky wheel.

Creeeaaak.

I winced.

"Hello, Harry," a voice said to me. She was whispering, thank god.

"Lilly," i whispered. "Hi."

"How're things?" It was a bit of a silly question, considering all I'd been experiencing was darkness and headaches. But i liked Lilly, so I decided to talk.

"Things are meh."

"Isn't that a mood."

"Yeah."

I heard quick footsteps, and someone sat down hurriedly.

"Hi, Connor," i said. Connor was my other nurse. He was slightly goofy, just like Lilly. They were friends and had applied here together. Holmes Chapel Healing Centre.

"Hi, Harry," he replied. "Sorry I'm late."

"S'alright," i said. 'What's for Cheat Tuesday?"

"Tacos," replied Lilly, and I smiled. My favourite food.

As we ate, we played 20 questions.

"Ok..which Jumanji do you prefer?" I asked.

"2, obviously," laughed Lilly. "The Rock."

"But I like the Rock too," whined Connor.

"He's mine."

"But-"

"HE'S MINE!" screeched Lilly, making me burst into laughter, though my ears were ringing.

We fell into silence, and the tap was still dripping.

"Anyway, we gotta go," Connor broke the silence. "Anything we can do for you, Haz?"

I was afraid to ask.

"Ok, what is it?" Asked Lilly.

"Um...could you...turn off that tap?" I mumbled. "I'm getting a headache. Everything's too loud."

One of them walked over and turned it off.

Much  better.

I exhaled.

"Sensory overload, huh?" Said Connor, "don't worry, I think it'll stop soon."

"Thanks, Connor, but it's been two weeks."
