I woke up from a sudden roar. Was that Michigan? I stood up, sniffing the air. Soon, I roared back to the roars that was coming from the mountains. It might be Michigan... I stood up and started to walk to the mountains. I was too tired to fly anywhere. I roar once more. And a roar answered back. I started to run towards the mountains, and soon, I flew. With my body aching and me still being hungry, I couldn't fly as fast as I used to. But soon enough, I've reached the mountains. Michigan? Are you here? Then someone responded. It was faint, but luckily, I could still hear it from my big ears. Whom goes there...? What's you're name? The faint voice came from the mountains. Angel. I didn't want someone to know my name that easily, so I told them my nick name. Angelina! Is that you!? Said the voice from the rocks. Then I knew who was talking back to me.

Michigan! He came out from behind the boulders and ran toward me. But then I realized something. There was scratches, bruises, and dried blood all covering him.. What happen to you? We'll talk later, but we have to get out of here! Michigan said. Okay, if you say so. We flew up into the sky, away from the mountains, but I noticed that his left wing was hurt badly. And soon, few hours passed. Why don't we land, walk, and talk a bit? Oh wow. You made it rhyme. Said Michigan. I laughed at him and we started to land toward the ground.

I'm still hungry you know. Can we eat some kind of beef or meat for at least fruits? Fine, but we'll have to hunt for food. Michigan said ready as ever. Okay, I'm fine with that! Now lets find something to eat! We hunted for some small creatures. It went from hunting mice to large birds! And it was great! Hmm... This tastes good! What was the name for this animal again? It's "Lurky". Said Michigan with a stuffed mouth. Sounds like "Turkey", from where I came.

We soon ate all the animals that we hunted and went to get ready for sleep. Um.. Hey Michigan, I'm gonna sleep on the tree tops, okay? When I looked down, I saw that he already went to sleep. At least I though so. I giggled and flew up to the tree tops. I sat on the leaves and the branches so that I won't fall while asleep. I looked up into the cloudless sky. Remembering of my new home and my family. I started to silently cry to myself. But maybe only dragon ears can hear something silently because Michigan came up behind saying it's okay.

Thanks Michigan. I... It's just that I miss my family dearly. Well, you haven't meet my family yet. Michigan said. And you haven't meet my family yet! We started to laugh, making jokes up, and slowly getting tired from talking. And soon enough, we went to sleep. But before I went to sleep, I talked looking at the sky. Mom... Dad... Lucky. You don't have to worry about me. I'm safe... And I've made a friend. His name's Michigan. I love you guys. Goodnight... And soon went to sleep. Peacefully without no sounds but only the crickets chipping there night away...

I woke up and so did Michigan because we could see light through my eyelids. Why can I see light? I'm sure we only slept for a few hours. Um, hey Michigan? Do you see the light through you're eyelids too? Ya... What 'bout it...? Said Michigan. I could hear how tired Michigan was from yesterday. Plus, he had to heal. Well, we only slept for a few hours! It can't be morning yet. Wait... What did you say?! Michigan said loudly. That there's already light? I opened my eyes and looked around us. Wait... What's over there?!

I had to be dreaming. Soon, Michigan got up too. It's a Volcano! Fly! Me and Michigan got into the sky and flew as fast as we can. Soon enough, other dragons were by my sides and so was Michigan's sides. But the lava and smoke were rising into the sky?! What's going on!? That's that what Volcano's do! There lava rises into the sky! Michigan said shouting. And what was horrible, was that some dragons were flying into the lava because everyone's panicking.

A couple of dragons were crashing into me and Michigan and sadly, one was a child and fell into the lava. I tried to save her, but other dragons were blocking from doing so. Michigan! That dragon just died! I started to cry. But I should of stayed strong because of me crying, my tears around my eyes, was blocking my vision, and soon flying toward the lava that was rising. Michigan saw this... And did the unthinkable. He got in my way and cover me with his body and hit the lava. Michigan! No! There was sparks all around him and we were falling.

He went unconscious from the extreme pain, I tried to get out of him but I couldn't because he was rapping all around me. Luckily, there were more dragons under us and held us up safely, away from any lava that was rising. Michigan soon became conscious, but forgot what has just happened. Me and the dragons had to explained what he has done, and he has now remembered, but as soon that happened, Michigan went full out crazy. Michigan! Stop! Your pushing and hitting dragons everywhere! He cried and roared like crazy. Hmm... This is bad. Said an elderly dragon. What's wrong sir? What's wrong is that the lava disfigured the nerves on his left wing and part of his tail, which is bad because that's our strongest weapon and defense. I've never seen anything like this... The elderly said horrified. Wait... What did you say! Michigan said, stopping his roars and crying.

I'm sorry Michigan, you can't fly anymore... Said the elder. C... Can... 't? Michigan said stumbling on his words. A while later, us and the rest of the dragons found a landing spot. Once on the ground, everyone was glad to live, but also mourned for the loved ones that couldn't make it and become safe from the volcano. Oh my god.... Now because of the volcano, dragons died, the land is destroyed, dragons hurt, and ash is now everywhere, in the waters, foods, and forests. How are we going to survive. What if the ice age begins?
