Dear Diary,
Despite my protests, Percy has been urging me to continue teaching Angelica. The banker has been delayed and will arrive in another week, meaning I will need to continue both the individual and group teachings. I am petrified of the thought.
Angelica is not normal. She was plucked from an impenetrable room in the middle of the night. Furthermore, if Percy is to be believed, she claimed to fly. Like a dreaded witch, the apathetic girl flew.
If anyone else besides him had asked, I would've refused. But for him? I will do so. Still, my body shook like the wind with each passing minute of her lesson. I was trying to teach her basic arithmetic. While doing so, she made a strange request.
She asked me to stop calling her Angelica.
When I pressed her on it, she didn't tell me what she wished to be called instead. Only that "he" had renamed her. Was she talking about Percy? My dear butler has grown rather fond of the girl, despite the circumstances, so I feel I should refrain from telling him. He may only grow angry with me.
I do not understand Percy's strange draw towards her. She is a six-year-old, and yet they are better friends with each other than I am with him! She is obviously from the devil. There's screaming in the middle of the night, shadows in the corner, objects go missing on an almost daily basis, and now? Now, she flies.
I wonder if Angelica is somehow responsible for the death of her parents. . .
