"Your brother hates me," Emily said to Kol.

It had been a week, and she had come up with nothing to help Kol.

"Which one Angel? I have three brothers," Kol replied.

He was joking around with her; he knew exactly which brother she was talking about. All she did for five minutes every day while they talked was talk about how annoying he is.

"You know which one," Emily replied.

She did not want to be rude, but she was incredibly frustrated by this. Though, Klaus Mikaelson was not the only thing that was frustrating Emily. It was true that he annoyed her to no extent, and that her anger always flared up when he spoke to her, but that was not the root cause of her frustration.

It was the fact that she had yet to find a cure for the spell that Kol was under. This spell was incredibly old, and it was going to take time before Emily would be able to find a cure.

Emily thought that finding a cure would not be an issue, but it was becoming a more significant problem every day.

At least to Emily. The promise that Kol had made to rain down hell on her old coven was filled with promise. She had chosen to, at that moment, promise to wake Kol up.

So far, her efforts were unsuccessful. That had made her even more frustrated.

"Angel? What else is wrong?" Kol asked.

He liked to think that he had known Emily well, with her sharing her story and all. Though he did not know what else his angel was hiding from him, and he wanted to know everything.

He wanted to know every skeleton in her closet, and he wanted to tell everything about himself.

"It's just," Emily had begun.

She threw her hands in front of her in frustration and continued,

"I wanted to find a way to wake you up quickly. I want to talk to you for real, I want your promise to me to be fulfilled, and I hate that I have to into your head to talk to you," Emily replied.

This was her being completely honest with Kol, and he could not ask for anything more.

It was true that both Kol and Emily were frustrated by the spell that was on him. Their reasons may be different, but they both were. Kol wanted to wake up, and Emily wanted to wake him up.

But it seemed as though fate was working against hem, not giving them what they wanted. Instead, there was a barrier between them that had seemed to be unbreakable. That angered both of them.

"Come on, let's get your mind off your frustrations," Kol begun.

He then added on,

"Let me tell you some stories about when I was human," Kol continued.

The two talked for a long time, not wanting to say goodbye to each other and go back to the reality that they are living in now. The two sat and talked, and thus, their bond was growing stronger by each passing minute of their discussion.

The forces of nature pushing the two close to each other.
