3 - Relic
"YOU IDIOT!"
"WHY IS THIS MY FAULT?!"
"HE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!!"
"WELL, WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO, THROW HIM BACK IN HIS BLEEDING BODY?! ALL I DID WAS MY JOB!!"
*sigh* "We're gonna have to send him back, you know that? That's always such a pain for me."
"No. He's staying."
"What?"
"He is probably the most powerful spirit I've seen in my entire life. Even I had difficulty bringing him here."
"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me."
"Well, you're not sending him back while I have him here."
*sigh* "You know what? I'll tweak the threads, bring him back, and you can have the others. If you want. I'm not messing with the threads for that. Deal?"
"..."
"Yang?"
"Fine, deal."
"Great."

It's been maybe a week since the craziness of the wedding. We found Dino hiding in the Gulag after he ran away. He refused to come out, so we just locked him away. I doubted I would see him again for a long time.
And I truly didn't mind that. I still don't forgive him for killing Blaza, accident or not.
I was helping Laff clean out the basement of his church. It was quite cluttered down there, which was surprising to me. Laff was usually pretty good at keeping things in order.
"Laff, how do you have so much random stuff?" I called over my shoulder, "Why don't you keep this stuff in your house?"
"I really don't know," I heard Laff reply from the other room, "This is just where I happen to put it."
"Huh," I said. I continued sorting out the chest in front of me when I thought I caught a glimpse of something. It was white, and glowing, making it hard to miss. I fished it out.
It was some kind of crystal, in the shape of a small crescent. It was white, fading to pale blue at the tips. The crystal had a powerful aura to it. I twirled it around in my fingers.
"Hey, Laff, what's this?" I called, standing up and walking to where Laff was sorting things. He stood up and looked at the small item in my hand.
"I have no idea," Laff shrugged, taking the crystal and observing it, "I don't remember ever getting this."
"I wonder what it is?" I said, thinking aloud.
"It seems to be some sort of relic. Magic of some sort," Laff said, handing the crystal back to me. "I'll research it a bit, and get back to you when I find something."
"Cool," I said, sticking the crystal in my pocket for now.

Laff grabbed one of the books off of the shelf at his house, dusting off the cover. It was a book about ancient artifacts, and Laff hoped it would have the answer to what the artifact Socks found was.
You sure you want to figure this out?
Why must you bother me now?
You just answered a question with a question.
Just- *sigh* - shut up for an hour, would you?
If you say so.
That voice was probably the most annoying thing Laff had ever heard. He didn't know what - or who - it was, but he REALLY didn't like it. He knew it lied about nearly everything, despite what it may think-
I can still hear you.
"I SAID, SHUT UP!" Laff burst out, slamming his fists on the table. He took a few heavy breaths, then slowed his breathing to deep, calm inhales and exhales.
Just... please. I'm trying to focus.
...Fine.
Thank God.
Finally able to focus on one thing, Laff poured back into his book, scanning through the pages to find what he was looking for.
A few minutes later, he found the page. The top read, "Moon of Life and Death," right above a sketched-out image of the relic.
As Laff was reading, the voice came back again.
This is the relic your friend found.
Didn't I tell you to shut up? Multiple times?
Revival can be dangerous. You of all people should know this.
Laff looked back down at the page.
We could revive Blaza. Why would that be dangerous?
I guess now that you've seen it, I can't stop you from doing it.
But don't come running to me when he inevitably destroys you all.
