Breakdown

I stepped into Carl's sell. "Hey Carl?"

He looked up for a second then put his face back into his pillow. I sat down next to him.

"Carl you need to eat something." I stroked his hair. "Come on Carl."

"Just leave me alone."

"You can't just keep all of your emotions bottled up, they'll eat you from the inside out." I reached for his hand.

Carl sat up. "You have no idea what it's like! My mom died! You have no idea what I'm feeling!"

A tear went down my cheek.

"Y/N I.."

"No, you're right, I don't what it's like, I just lost my whole family." I stood up and left his cell.

I went over to the stairs. The baby was crying, in Beth's arms.

"Here let me take her, you look like you could us some rest." I sat down next to her.

She handed the baby to me. "Thank you." Beth walked over to her cell.

I sat down on the stairs. I sung a lullaby version of Young by Hollywood Undead.

"We are young, we have heart. Born in this world as it all falls apart."

The baby fell asleep.

"That fits her a lot." It was Carl's voice.

"I thought so." I shrugged.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Carl asked.

"Yeah let me go put her down."

I laid her down in her make-shift bed. Carl and I walked to his cell.

"I'm sorry that I was such a jerk, I just, it's.." He was trying not to cry.

"It's ok you can cry, I won't judge."

He put his head on my shoulder and started to cry. I hugged him and let him cry, he needed it.

He ended up crying himself to sleep on my lap. I gently laid him down on his bed and laid next to him and went to sleep.
