(Name) screamed as a piece of white cloth that seemed to envelope something landed in her room.

She ran to a corner of the room to safely supervise the strange thing. It stayed still for a few seconds, then began to stir, slowly. It tried to stand up, but the covered figure fell back down again, groaning in pain.

Cautiously, (Name) inched toward it. The figure tried to stand up again, but to no avail.

When she was close to it, the floor creaked and the figure turned in its direction. (Name) froze as the figure seemed to lift his eyes.

And she was met with sky-blue eyes under flashing glasses.

"Alfr-" she whispered in shock.

He smiled painfully. "That's right, dude"

"Alfred..." Tears started to form in her eyes and she collapsed to the ground, sobbing.

"Hey, hey, woah!" Alfred slowly crawled over and sat next to (Name), wrapping his sheet around him. "Stop crying, (Name)" he reached over and wiped away a tear. "I'm here, no need to be sad-"

"Idiot!" She faced him suddenly, tears flying "You had me so worried! I didn't know what happened to you! I thought you d-"

She started sobbing again.

"(Name), I'm sorry I scared you like th-"

"What took you so long?!"

"You want me to tell you what I meant to tell you that day?"

Alfred sighed "I disobeyed God's order and now the other angels look down upon me. Don't you see! I'm a renegade! I was running for my life!"

"Why were demons after you?"

"A rebel angel is vulnerable. He doesn't have the protection of God or other angels, so he is easy prey." He unconciously began rubbing the back of his neck "It's not easy taking down six demons alone..."

"How did that take you almost a week?"

"I needed to go back to Heaven to...clear some issues."

Alfred looked at her and forced out a tired smile.

He then dropped the sheet down that was around his shoulders just enough to show his bare back.

There were two burn marks on his back where his wings would be. There were long scars on his arms and back as well.

"They tore my wings off," he said solemnly "they whipped me to punish me for what I have done."

"But you have done nothing wrong! You're my guardian angel and you're supposed to protect me and you did! How is that wrong?" (Name) questioned urgently.

Alfred said, "There's more to it-" he paused before finishing the sentence.

"What is it then? I don't need anymore secrets, Alfred" She placed a hand on his shoulder. Alfred hissed sharply in pain and (Name) snatched her hand back.

"No it's fine..." Alfred said "You can touch me."

"What?!" (Name) blushed intensely. What did he just say?

"You can touch me, (Name)," he repeated. Alfred placed his hand on hers and he looked into her eyes. "I want you to touch me, (Name), because I love you."

"That's why they punished me. Angels aren't allowed to love humans, but I did. They tore off my wings because I wanted them to."

"Because I wanted to be human as well. So I can stay with you forever. So that I can love you..."

"I..." (Name) didn't know what to say.

"Do you love me back, (Name)?"

"Alfred, you jerk!!!" She yelled suddenly, scaring Alfred. "You didn't have to go through all that for me, you know?!" Heavy tears were falling "You didn't have to go through all this pain, because..."

"(Na-)"

"I would have done the same!!!"

She enveloped Alfred in a hug, shaking. Alfred gripped onto her in return, like she was going to dissapear at any second.

She buried her head into his shoulder and sobbed uncontrollably.

"(Name), I'm sorry. Please don't be sad anymore. It pains me to see you cry..." He placed his face into the crook of her neck.

"No!" She pulled back and smiled through her teary eyes. "I'm not sad, I'm happy!"

"Alfred, please, you need to get back into society. Of course I'm not sad! Because you're here with me and you're alright! Because...I love you too, Alfred!"

Alfred grinned that same grin "I know you do"

He leaned in and, on instinct, she leaned in as well and they met in the middle.

The kiss wasn't a quick one people give each other in a hurry. The two were in no hurry whatsoever. It was full of passion and meaning in it. She wrapped her hands around his shoulders and he wrapped his around her waist, like they were to dance a slow dance.

His lips begged for more and she gave it to him, thinking in the back of her head, woah slow down girl.

Alfred was leaning too far forward and ended up falling on top of (Name), much to both of their surprises. When they landed, they just laughed at their awkward positions, and continued to kiss again when-

"OH SHIT SORRY" Alfred jumped back and quickly wrapped his sheet back onto his naked body.

The two sat in awkward silence, blushing, until they once again broke out laughing.

"Alfred, you need to out some clothes on"

"Do you want me too?" He wiggled his eyebrows smugly.

(Name) scoffed and punched him playfully.

"Ooooouuuuuccchhhhh....?"

They laughed again and sat together in blissful silence. He held her hand and she held his and both closed their eyes, grateful for the gift that was each other.
