sometimes i wonder

if life is like walking an old dirt path 

you gotta suck it up 

and continue walking through everything you overcome

if life is like climbing a tree

brambles and branches you must pass by

until you finally make your way to the top

sometimes i wonder

if life is like smelling a flower

sweet and nice but sometimes sickly

and you can pull it away to rest

sometimes i wonder

if life is just a long hike

mosquitoes and pests

but lots of wonders await 

sometimes i wonder

if life is like taking a nap on grass

you just gotta stop and pause for a while

and move on once you're recharged

the fresh grass

the smell of a rose

the lingering butterfly

when the wind blows

and after all, i wonder

if life is like taking a walk through nature

obstacles and troubles

but all you have to do is

appreciate the moment

and take in the view.
