Damian POV

Waiting in the hotel lobby I was a mixture of nervous and excited. I hadn't thought for one second that she would agree to come to New York with me, I felt for sure that Dolph would stop her or talk her out of it.

From the second she put me in my place I knew there was something different about her. Something about her made me want to be completely myself around her, I felt like I didn't have to hide the real me with her.

I had been nervously wringing my hands while I waited and when I finally glanced up I saw her walking towards me with Dolph, of course he'd be with her, odds on he's trying to convince her not to go, can't say I blame him it's not like I've put out a good impression of myself.

"Alright have fun, be careful and call me if you need me" he says giving her a hug before turning to me "Take good care of her" he says

"You have my word" I nod "I'll take very good care of her"

Dolph gives her one last hug before heading out of the hotel leaving us alone, and I suddenly felt very nervous and awkward. Why does she have this affect on me?

"So you ready to whisk me away to New York D?" she smiles and my heart literally skips a beat, just like it does everytime she calls me that

"Uh ye...yeah" I stutter "here let me take your case" I say reaching for the handle my hand brushing over hers

"Thanks" she says "I'm warning you know I have a tendancy to fall asleep on flights, so if I do don't take it personal"

"Noted" I smile "if you're ready princesa we'll head off"

Zoe POV

Following Damian out of the hotel it was like I was looking at him for the first time. How had I not noticed how tall he was, or those cute dimples when he smiles, or the way he smile goes all the way to his eyes.

Why was I even noticing these things? I have only known this guy a week and already he has me fascinated. Damian places our cases in the trunk before once again opening my door for me. I smile as I get in but inwardly I'm hoping this whole being a gentleman thing is not an act.

When we get to the airport he opens my door for me and then insists on wheeling my case through to the check in desk. Once we are checked in takes my carry on leaving me with just my handbag.

We head to our seats on the plane and when he finds them he stops and steps aside.

"You can have the window seat princesa" he says "it will be more comfortable if you fall asleep"

I slide into my seat as he puts our bags in the overhead storage before sitting beside me. As he taps away on his phone I take in his side profile for the first time and man is he beautiful. Stop it Zoe you promised Dolph you wouldn't cross any lines I tell myself. Something tells me this trip is going to be interesting.

Damian POV

This was it, she was actually coming to New York with me, now all I had to do was make sure she had a nice time. I had been thinking of things we could do and I had already made plans for our last night in New York, well provided she still wanted to be around me by that point.

Normally I don't care what people think about me but for some reason I really wanted her to like me.

"So tell me D, what are our plans for New York" she asks

"I've come up with a whole list of things we can do" I say showing her my screen "and I have something nice planned for our last night"

"Are you trying to impress me Mr Priest?" She smirks, I know she's  just messing but once again I find myself feeling nervous

"I uh....n...no I just want to make sure you have a nice time" I say once again bumbling like a fool

"I was just messing D" she smiles placing her hand on my arm instantly making my heart race "so what do you have planned for our last night?" She asks

"It's a surprise" I say "but I promise you'll like it"

We talk all the way through take off, going over my list and picking what we are going to do, and she genuinely seems excited about this trip. Moments after we are in the air she has fallen asleep her head resting on my shoulder and her arms wrapped around mine.

I grab a blanket and place it over her has best I can one handed before putting in my ear buds. I close my eyes and listen to my music trying not the think about the beautiful woman asleep on my arm or the way she is making me feel right now.
