Zoe POV

Heading into the arena with my best friend Dolph by my side I was nervous and confused. I spent alot for time on the road with Dolph but just as his his friend I have never been involved in the wrestling business although last ppv I was asked to walkout with Dolph and stay ringside for his match.

"What could Stephanie possibly want with me?" I say picking at my finger nails "I'm not an employee and I'm pretty sure I haven't broken any rules"

"Don't worry whatever happens I'll be right there with you" Dolph says placing a reassuring arm around my shoulders "I've always got you, you know that"

"I know" I sigh "I just wish I knew what was going on"

"Well we're about to find out" he says as we stop outside her door "You ready?" He asks and I nod.

Dolph pushes open the door and I follow him into the room where Stephanie is waiting for me, when she sees me she gives me a big smile and then immediately looks confused when she sees Dolph.

"Dolph I don't remember inviting you to the meeting" she says

"I asked him to be here" I say "I hope that's ok?"

"Of course both of you take a seat" she smiles "Ok Zoe when you went out to the ring with Dolph at the last ppv I was impressed with your style and confidence and I think you would make a great manager" she says

"Oh! Well thank you" I say "I'm assuming you mean for Dolph?" I ask

"Actually no, I love your style but it doesn't fit with Dolph, there is however one superstar I think you would fit perfectly with" she says "How would you like to be the manager for Damian Priest?" She asks

"Hell no! No she is not working with him, he's........"

"I'd love to" I say cutting Dolph off mid rant and he looks at me like I've lost my mind "I intrigued by him I think he'd be interesting to work with"

"Are you crazy the man is dangerous, he could snap you in half without even trying" Dolph gasps "I really don't think you should do this"

" Dolph it's my offer, my choice" I say "and I want to do this, maybe he's not as evil as you think"

"Alright but as you best friend I'm laying down rules" he says "you only hang around him at work, outside of work you stay away from him and you absolutely do not cross any lines with him"

"Deal, you have my word" I chuckle "this is purely business"

"Zoe in order for you to build a rapour with him and build your character you will need to spend time with him outside of work, get to know him" Stephanie says "I need the two of you to build a friendship to make this work"

"That's fine" I say holding up a finger when I see Dolph's mouth open "it's work related so it doesn't technically count as outside of work so I'm not breaking your rules" I say and his mouth closes.

Stephanie hands me my contract which I happily sign and then Doloh and I leave the room. He gives me a hug before heading off to his locker room while head off to find Damian, I figured I'd better get started straight away no sense in wasting time.

Unsurprisingly he has the locker room furthest away from everyone, even though I hadn't really met him yet I had a feeling everyone had this guy wrong and he wasn't as horrible as people think he is.

I knock gently on his door "come in" a deep kind of sexy voice calls out and I feel myself shiver slightly before I push open the door.

I find him standing there in his ring gear, no shirt, his hair tied back in a half ponytail and a hint of eyeliner around his eyes, he eyes me suspiciously as I walk towards him and I give him a soft smile.

"Hi I'm Zoe, I'm........."

"Are you lost?" He asks his brow furrowed in confusion

"No actually I'm.........."

"Look I don't know how you got in here but fans aren't allowed backstage" he says cutting me off once again

"I'm not a fan I work here and if you cut me off one more time we will have a problem before we start" I say pausing for a moment "Stephanie has hired me to be your new manager, so I came to introduce myself becuase she wants us to get to know each other and try and build a friendship"

"My new manager?" He says looking confused "I thought she meant a man, I apologise for being so rude I'm Damian......but you already know that, muy bien, idiota (way to go idiot)" he says face palming himself

"Like I said I'm Zoe and just so you know hablo español (I speak spanish)" I say and a slight blush forms on his cheeks "You're not an idiot you were being polite, and apology accepted"

"It's nice to meet you Zoe" he says and for the first time he smiles softly and I find myself smiling with him "I um have a match yo...you're more than welcome to come watch or you can hang out here, what....whatever you want to do" he says

While I had no idea what to really expect I did not expect him to be so nervous, he seemed kind of sweet and I was even more sure that people had got him wrong, but why couldn't anyone else see this?

"I'll come watch" I smile "I need to see what you can do and learn what your moves are, I'd be a pretty lousy manager if I knew nothing about you"

"Well then ladies first" he says opening the door "maybe after we could go for something to eat?..... o....only if you want to that is"

"I'd love to" I say "now lead the way Mr Priest"
