Movement 25
A crisp, cool breeze blew through making the air brisk. The sun now rose high, illuminating everything as well as making the white powder of the snow on the ground gleam under its light. (Y/n) had passed by taking in the scenery, marveling how the snow on the trees had taken in the light. She hummed, a whimsical tune sounded from the girl as she skipped along the sidewalk merrily back to her apartment. The girl's mood skyrocketed the past number of days, considering she just started a new relationship. Her heart always skipped at the thought, and the sound of calling the boy, who she thought would never acknowledge her existence, her boyfriend just made her felt giddy. In a pensive state she walked back to her home with bags of food in hand, the time just around noon. A slight buzz in her pocket caught her attention just as she entered through the threshold of her doorway, her always hyper dog waiting to greet her like always. An excited smile beamed across her face as she saw the ID.
"Licht-san!" The girl chirped elated.
"(Y/n)." His voice on the other end greeted her. She caught upon a tired tone making her smile falter. "Are you ok? You sound exhausted." She remarked her observation, meanwhile the boy just hummed in agreement.
"Just something happening regarding our living spaces. Some annoying people from the C3 want us to move locations but I haven't agreed yet." He explained. She imagined him rubbing his temple, a habit she picked up on and softly chuckled. Even when they spent time together from the moment they confessed, he still had been very occupied with his time. A majority of it dedicated to the Servamps or still to his music. Even if she wanted more time, she couldn't hold him back for these were important to the boy.
"You should rest you know, running about without a break isn't healthy." She said, plopping herself on her sofa.
"I'm an angel I could handle it." He argued, she rolled her eyes. She shook her head in amusement at his stubborn nature. "I know, but still I worry sometimes, especially after..." She trailed off, not needing to utter another word as they both had a mutual understanding of the incident prior.
"Well, you don't need to worry. I'm being more careful this time." He assured, "Besides I don't want to make you feel what you felt back then this time." He added bringing forth his soft tone to her. Her cheeks burned at the solid statement as well as the gentleness, the pitch that would always make her heart skip and her mind fluster.
"Ok." She agreed trying to put her mind at ease.
"I'm taking up on your offer by the way. I'll be at your door in about 20 minutes." He stated before cutting the line. The suddenness made (Y/n) panicked as she stuttered into the phone.
"Eh? W-Wait you're coming over?!" The beeping line caused her to sigh, her blush intensifying. "Stupid. Could have given me a better warning then that." She commented with a small smile; she stood trying to prep herself with the time she had.
---------------------------------------
Just as (Y/n) had finished clearing some items away she heard the knocks at her door. Her dog already scratching and barking knowing who it was. An amused giggle passed through her lips getting more loud once she opened the door and let her dog tackle the pianist unexpected. That didn't seem to bother him though with his fondness for animals, in fact he loved her dog, sometimes giving him more attention than his girlfriend. Licht let himself in after her dog calmed down, quickly pecking the girl on the cheek. She smiled at him, his neutral expression much more soft than when they first met.
"It's been a while since we've seen each other in person huh?" She asked while he scoffed.
"It's only been five days." He stated bluntly, and pursed his lips as he gazed at her.
"How's your health been?" He asked.
"Pretty stable, some minor bruises here and there but nothing too serious." She explained while his eyebrows furrowed and he stared unconvinced. She huffed a little bringing forth her hand as she locked her gaze with his, "I told you I'm fine." She asserted. He knew when she stared straight into his eyes, she told the truth. So he believed her and let his concern fade for now. Although she continued to curiously stare at him with her shining eyes.
"You really do look tired." She commented her thumb tracing one of the dark lines that appeared under his eyes.
"I guess...I haven't been getting sleep these past few days." He asserted, a fatigued sigh following afterwards.
"Why?" She asked.
"A lot of things." He even seemed to tired to explain to her, but she could assume based on their past conversations as well as the irritated look on his face. (Y/n) hummed in thought, her cheeks turning brighter in color the more she mulled over her thought. "T-Then um," She spoke her voice turning quite timid, it caught his attention.
"Do you want to sleep with me?" She squeaked. There was a pause, both of them registering what she just uttered, a huge blush adorning both of their faces once they actually processed it. (Y/n) became more flustered, however, as she kept stuttering. Licht opened his mouth to say something but she beat him to it.
"I-I mean not in that way, I mean like in a napping sort of sense! Like actual sleep! Wow that came out wrong!" She gave a sloppy justification while her whole face had become red. Licht found it amusing, still having a tiny scowl.
"Tch, think before you speak idiot." He said using his hand to cover up his red face while (Y/n) bowed her head in embarrassment, saying nothing. She had to take a couple of deep breaths so her voice wouldn't sound shaky, it didn't help her heated face, however. A moment of awkward silence passed between the two before (Y/n) decided to brave and speak up again. "D-Did you want to maybe eat lunch first?" The tiniest stutter accompanied her voice, and he nodded without a word. The two took a moment for a breath of fresh air, (Y/n) disappearing through the doorway while Licht occupied himself with her dog. The both of them still with fast paced beating hearts. The minutes past and then Licht decided to peek inside, watching (Y/n) gaze into her fridge.
"Hmm," She hummed attentively closing her fridge with a sigh. Licht accidentally let out a huge yawn causing the girl to jump slightly. She giggled nervously, scratching the back of her head, "Sorry, I forgot I put everything away before you arrived." She explained.
"It's fine. I don't really care about the food." He affirmed stuffing his hands in his pockets. "If I'm gonna be honest, I'd rather take your nap offer." He claimed ruffling his hair in between his fingers. She observed his straight posture as well as the stressed manner of his expression. "Alright. Then let's go." She went up, hooking her arm around his carefully. He frantically tried to speak when he saw where she was leading her.
"O-Oi!"
"Come don't be shy, the sofa's a little too small." She stated leading him into her room. His eyes scanned around, being the first time in her room, as well as a girl's room in general, he started being observant. A mix of messy and clean, the mess on her desk with papers, photos, and medication scattered everywhere. Her closet neatly organized as well as her bed. A small bookshelf stood right next to it as well as a night stand, overall it seemed small to him. His heart nearly skipped, however, when his eyes caught her adorable stuffed animals. He kept his cool, but still he couldn't help but be mesmerized.
"My desk is a mess, sorry." She said taking a seat on the edge of her bed. He stood, awkwardly fidgeting in his place, his posture stiff while his scowl stuck to his face. She gently patted the spot next to her and waited for him to sit down next to her. He eventually did, slightly averting his gaze, and the silence became comfortable. "This is the first time I've seen you shy since the first time you confessed." She added. He grunted flicking her forehead, a sort of playful manner.
"It's my first time being in a girls room, with a girl...alone." He stated while (Y/n) laughed.
"You sound like a child. So cute." She stuttered through laughs making the boy pop a vein. "Tch, I'm not a child." He grumbled. He felt the bed move as (Y/n) shifted around, laying by the bedhead and beckoning him to join her. He did so, now feeling his fatigue catch up to him, and they both laid facing each other. A few moments of comforting silence passed between them before (Y/n) uttered, "It's been a while since we've been this close huh?" He hummed in agreement, a part of him hated how his responsibilities took a majority of his time, but he appreciated her patience with him. Besides he gained an endless amount of support from her. Her encouraging words and the picture of her smiling face in his mind made his heart beat faster and made him fall for her more. Now he had the close proximity of her, taking in every detail from her lips to her shining (e/c) eyes. His eyes drifted down to her lips even more so.
"You're cuter." He whispered under his breath trying to not let her hear. A steady blush blossoming on your face as she did indeed catch his comment, not only that but she heard the husky whisper, brought forth a soft smile from her. The more the comfortable feeling grew the more heavy his eyelids felt. He wanted to talk more, but his body argued against him. "I really did miss you." He stated his hair falling between his eyes.
"I did too, now sleep." She ordered gently. She let her fingers weave through his hair making him shudder slightly, growing more drowsy. He wanted to say more, but he could no longer help himself as he succumbed to her caress. She continued her actions watching as soft breaths escape him, a little shocked at how fast he fell asleep. She hummed a little tune to him, before closing her eyes and joining him.
-------------------------------------
Two hours later (Y/n) awoke abruptly from a soft familiar buzz. She felt around in her hoodie pocket, still groggy from sleep, and grabbed her cellphone. She saw two texts as well as a notification. One text had her eyebrows furrow in thought as she saw the number, but no contact name. She shrugged immediately assuming it was a wrong number, and the other text sent from Mahiru, asking of course about Licht. She gazed next to her seeing Licht still in a deep sleep she softly chuckled, and texted him back an explanation. Finally she checked on her notification, her medication time of course showing brightly ok the clock. Over the course of time she started becoming more aware of it, and even following instructions. She attempted to move, but felt a weight on her waist, trailing her eyes she spotted his arm slung over her in a tight grip. He shifted over closer, making their heads come in contact. She blushed heavily but couldn't help but feel a fluttering in her chest, he did look exactly like a child while cuddling her. She grinned feeling giddy, but unfortunately for her she had to leave the comfortable space for a moment. To escape Licht's tight grip became the problem. She hummed, before she poked at his exposed side, she saw his eyebrow twitch before she did it again. He groaned, loosing his grip and shifting, as well as mumbling "shit rat." It took (Y/n) a few seconds not to burst out laughing. Finally free she went to her desk, and then retreated to the kitchen.
She breathed out a large sigh, leaning against the counter once she finished. She mulled over her thoughts from little things, to her sleeping boyfriend in her room. Letting a little smile grace her lips, she decided to retreat back to her room to join in the calm scene again. A light, but rather loud buzz caught her attention before she could step into her room. Her attention perked up at the caller ID, "Hello?" She answered cautiously.
"(Y/nnn)-chaaaan~" A light screech made its way to her ears, recognizing the person's tone instantly. "Hyde-san." She greeted letting a light smile appear on her face. "What's up?"
"Is Licht-tan still at your place? It's been quite a while." He explained.
"Um, yes-"
"Hehehe~ so what have you two been doing the past few hours to have him stay so long hmmm?~" A playful hum reached her ears, and her face nearly burst with heat after the comment. She stuttered really badly, trying to find her voice and steadying it. Never in her life had she been this embarrassed at a comment. "N-NOTHING! What are you implying?!" She implored blushing harshly.
"Are you sure?~" He gave a sing song tone along with his question making (Y/n) become flustered once more. "No of course not! We've only been dating for a short time!" She argued feeling her heart ready to leap out of her chest. She grew annoyed at the loud laugh he gave out, and it took a few seconds for it to die down since he laughed pretty hard.
"I know! I know! It's just so fun to tease you two!" He exclaimed, she imagined he must have been smirking pretty smug right now and she huffed. "My embarrassment is not funny." She chided.
"Anyways! Can you have him come over? Those C3 guys keep bothering me about gathering all of the eves and Servamps for more talks or whatever. Gah so annoying!" He whined. (Y/n) felt a wave of disappointment all of sudden having Licht leave again. Especially since a few hours of meeting doesn't compare to days of not seeing each other. Holding in a sigh, she only chuckled, "Alright. I'll go tell him." She reassured. Hanging up the phone, her lips formed a thin line in frustration, before she retreated back to her room. She observed how he still laid upon the bed, shifting slightly as he continued to rest. The feeling of disappointment grew into a solemn feeling, not just because he had to leave so early, but because she also couldn't help but worry over his wellbeing. He had been working too hard. She held back on her feelings, knowing that it was probably more important than he dealt with his responsibilities.
She opened her blinds first, and then lightly shook him. She heard a tiny groan escape him, but it wasn't enough to actually wake him. She shook him harder, this time lightly calling out his name, "Licht-san." Her voice soft, delicate, but seemed to work as the boy opened his eyes slowly. He grumbled as the harsh light hit his eyes, but he sat up. "What time is it?" He asked, his voice laced in a husky tone that she caught making her cheeks form a small blush. "It's nearly late afternoon, around 3:30 pm." She explained. "Um," she went out to speak again but paused for a moment. Shaking her head she continued, "Hyde-san called, C3 want to see the both of you again." She addressed, her statement making the boy click his tongue.
"Damn it. I was hoping they would leave me alone today." He hissed and faced (Y/n) his face expression impassive, but his eyes apologetic. "I guess I wasted our time together...sorry." He said while she shook her head at him denying his statement.
"Don't be sorry. I mean I did suggest we nap together, I only woke up to take medicine." Seeing how he just stared at her, she rambled, "Well I guess I am sort of disappointed that the time had been cut short. It probably is important, so there's so helping it. But I am glad you came over today, it made me really happy." She gave a bright smile to him while he only felt a stirring in his chest, keeping his eyes downcast. Even if her smile did lighten his mood, his discouragement and annoyance overpowered. He wanted to stay with her, he really wanted to stay with her, although he didn't dare admit it out loud. He had his own worries, about her, even when he tried not to think about it too much an almost anxious feeling would haunt him.
"I..." His lips formed into a thin line, before he gave a tired, agitated sigh. He sometimes wished he could voice his feelings to her, but all of this was still new to him. But lucky for him she was patient. She blinked and tilted her head questioningly looking at him, an action he found quite adorable. He cleared his throat, cheeks turning pink. "I want you to come with me." He stated blunt and direct as always.
"W-Will it be ok?" She stuttered not expecting that sentence.
"It's not fair to both of us to separate especially since we're new to this dating thing." He stated, crossing his arms. She looked upon his vague, minuscule pout and she couldn't help but laugh slightly. She couldn't help but agree with him.
"Alright. I guess it wouldn't hurt to leave the apartment for some time." She agreed.
"I thought you would refuse." He stated outright making her huff.
"I was thinking that, but I know how stubborn you are." She teased sticking her tongue out at him. He scoffed at her, getting off her bed and stretching out his tired limbs.
"Damn right I'm stubborn." He announced proudly making the girl snicker. He felt his heart leap at her amusement, now realizing just how much he had missed it. How he missed her so much more. He couldn't help himself, feeling his heart thump and his face heat up, stalked carefully towards the girl while distracted. Meanwhile (Y/n) yelped when he pulled her by the waist, increasing proximity between the two of them. "(Y/n)," his voice became low making her freeze, "How is it that we've been to scared to kiss?" He asked making the girl become flustered.
"W-What?? Where is this coming from all of a sudden?" She asked and squeaked when his face moved closer. Her breath caught in her throat as she stared in his eyes. "Both of us have been too nervous to make the first move?" She whispered inquisitively.
Her statement rang quite true, even before they had been away from each other for a while did they try to kiss each other. Both feeling the desire to just let their lips touch. Consequentially the thought of it caused them both to become embarrassed or nervous. Many doubts started springing within them making them just back off. Now, they were both together, close enough to feel their racing hearts, and Licht became determined not to hesitate as he stared into her (e/c) eyes. He didn't need to say anything more, for he would let his actions do so for him. Just as they leaned in with just a small margin of space between their lips, (Y/n) suddenly jolted by a couple of loud noises. In fact so sudden it caused them to knock their foreheads together instead. They both covered their sore spots, (Y/n) whining while Licht just winced slightly. The moment became more than ruined.
"Is someone...at the door?" She mumbled hearing her dark bark loudly at it. Licht glared absentmindedly very irritated the moment got ruined. He followed her, keeping his glare aimed at the door. She opened it, her eyes curiously gazed at the male, and then she gawked realizing his attire. "A straight jacket?" She muttered. An amused smirk adorned the male's face as he peered at the curious girl staring at him, and the angel boy he had familiarized himself with glaring at him.
"Pardon my intrusion! But I have arrived to pick you up sir Angel." He said mockingly, "We would have waited, but the rest have grown impatient. And I have been so graciously paid to come see what the hold up was." He spoke watching as the glare turned murderous and he couldn't help but snicker. Meanwhile the girl's eyes narrowed at him, as if studying him and she looked at Licht.
"Do you know him?" She asked.
"I'm a member of the C3, you can just call me Tsurugi." He introduced himself winking playfully while Licht clenched his teeth. "Oh well it's nice to meet you...I think? My name is (L/n) (Y/n)." She said and politely bowed to him.
"(Y/n) huh? Pretty cute name~" The comment made Licht grow livid although he only directed it towards Tsurugi as he stood behind (Y/n). "A-Ah, thanks I guess."
"I was just about to leave, but I wanted to make sure (Y/n) was ok with coming too." Licht butted in speaking pretty harshly towards the blue haired male who only chuckled. "Eh, I don't know if you're allowed to drag a girl who has nothing to do with-"
"I don't care. I'm taking her with me." He cut Tsurugi off, grabbing (Y/n)'a had tightly. She squeaked but then blushed slightly, the sudden force and intensity coming out of nowhere. Nonetheless she felt, kind of flattered.
"Eh, whatever, I have no energy to argue with you." Tsurugi dismissed the matter pretty easily, eyeing them like a mischievous cat. He scampered down the hall not even waiting. (Y/n) remarked the similar personality between him and Hyde except noticing differences as well. "Um, Licht-san?"
"What?" His glare and attitude softened up pretty quickly as he turned his attention to her.
"Can I change clothes first?"
