Movement 14
Everything seemed tense, as the two males had a stare down while (Y/n) grew concerned at how still it suddenly grew. She noticed how his grip on her arm tightened slightly, and he directed something to her just above a whisper.
"(Y/n)...go home."
Those last words were brought upon her ears before he let go and in a flash appeared inches before Mahiru's face. He looked a lot more threatening, his blue grey eyes directed towards the pair. (Y/n) could only stare in surprise until Licht started talking.
"You..Are you an Angel or a Demon?"
Both (Y/n) and the other two were silent in confusion at the questions. Licht decides to take an initiative as black shadows and energy formed a shape. A grand piano appeared before them, (Y/n) became stunned as did Mahiru.
"A piano?"
A low tune came from the instrument playing an ominous melody. Something eerie caused (Y/n) to tremble. More so for the blue haired male as he fell to the ground looking fatigued. Like someone put metal on his body.
"Kuro?!"
"Eh? That's Kuro-san?" (Y/n) whispered still watching the scene stunned. Licht wasted no time as he kicked Kuro high into the air. He moved fast maneuvering himself between the walls and his Lead providing the momentum. (Y/n) and Mahiru looked at him wide eyed and they both thought the same thing, he truly looked like he was flying. Mahiru got over his shock quickly as he remembered the danger. His own lead appeared from the black ring on his wrist, forming a broom.
"Mahiru-san!" He stopped at (Y/n)'s call, suddenly remembering she was still standing there.
"(L/n)-chan..."
"What is...Just..." (Y/n) stumbled over her words completely abashed.
"Sorry (L/n)-chan, but I can't explain right now!" Mahiru exclaimed in hurry, and he left her there in her own shock. Her mind couldn't process at the same speed everything was happening. What exactly was happening? Her thoughts and worried jumbled together making a headache suddenly pop up. She knew standing there and waiting wouldn't answer anything for her. So she decided to take a sharp turn, straight to Krantz.
------------------------------------------
"Krantz-san!" (Y/n) called for him as soon as she slammed the door open. He jumped up from his seat, immediately rushing over to her. He grabbed her by her shoulders giving a concerned look.
"(Y/n)-chan?! Are you alright?! What happened?!" He asked his questions in a panic as he saw (Y/n) panicking as well.
"L-Licht-san...and Mahiru-san...Kuro-san..fighting..." She gasped out as her burning lungs tried to take in air. She panted hard, looking like she was hyperventilating so Krantz guided her to the sofa. She leaned back still panting, meanwhile Krantz brought her water.
"Breath, (Y/n)-chan. Tell me slowly."
She did as she was told trying to calm herself, it worked momentarily, but her breathing remained heavy. So she tried to her best ability to convey the message.
"I..was walking with Licht-san, and then Mahiru-san appeared with his pet Kuro, who apparently is human. So I'm assuming he's a vampire like Hyde. And then just Licht just attacked him out of nowhere." Krantz blinked by the sloppy explanation. She just sighed and laid back on the sofa looking tired.
"I don't know Krantz-san, I'm just confused. And I will admit the whole thing kind of scared me." (Y/n) admitted covering her face with her trembling hands. A neutral expression remained on his face, his fingers went to rub his temples as he sighed irritably.
"That boy. He's going to get an earful later." Be grumbled, then his eyes stared at (Y/n) as he felt bad for the girl. He debated with himself, whether to say anything, or rather reveal anything.
"(Y/n)-chan, I would tell you everything but-"
The door opened once again revealing Licht with the most irritated scowl. Krantz poked (Y/n) by the shoulder and she uncovered her face, he then leaned in and whispered.
"It is better if Licht told you himself."
(Y/n) saw Licht by the door, his glare at both of them. Krantz left the two standing behind the door to listen in just in case.
"I thought I told you to go home." He said at (Y/n). She took a deep breath, she was ready for a confrontation. It was the time for answers.
"I panicked so I came here. I was hoping Krantz-san would explain, but it's better if you do." (Y/n) said calmly, she wouldn't falter under the harsh glare Licht was giving her.
"There's nothing to explain. The world of demons is not a place for you to tread. Sometimes it's better for those innocent to not know."
"I just want to know, I hate being in the dark like this. Just sitting there, not knowing anything, is actually pretty frightening." She said, her voice became morose, her face depicted a hint of something she suffered. To Licht the fact was pretty obvious, a past in the dark she wanted to hide, but it brought itself back. He right then and there, almost cracked, but his resolve remained.
"You have no idea what might happen, if you get involved." He argued, his anxiety started to show and she picked up on it.
"But if something does happen and I'm only confused then wouldn't that be worse?"
"I wouldn't let it." Licht blurted out accidentally. It made (Y/n) pause for a moment, she blinked and gradually became flustered. She shook her head, trying her best to remain calm. So did Licht, he didn't mean for that to come out, but he did mean it.
"I just want to know about you Licht." Her eyes became shadowed by her bangs as they covered her eyes. Her tone was quiet, but it was a cutting quiet.
"I don't really mind what happens to me. I'm just worried about you. It sounds stupid, but it's frustrating just being naive."
Licht's breath caught in his throat once he caught the words that spilled from her mouth. Now he could visibly see her blush, her vulnerable, honest side showing itself to him. He clenched his teeth, his feelings becoming completely enraged in a conflict with himself.
"Licht-san.." He heard her speak again, only softly.
"What's wrong with taking a risk?" She asked, back to an arguing tone.
"Everything." He argued back, (Y/n) grumbled she almost got him to crack.
"This isn't your business." Licht became more threatening as the shadow covered his face and made his eyes glint. (Y/n) was growing frustrated as well, her fists clenching at her sides.
"I just don't want you to be alone in a fight. I want to be your support! Ok? I just don't want you to be alone..." Her voice trailed off, and everything became quiet. The whole emotional stress was getting to her, and her headache started becoming worse. But she refused to falter.
"You mean you don't want to be alone?" Licht asked, reading her words, and easily finding the hidden message she was conveying. Her eyes snapped downward, seemingly ashamed.
"Just please tell me the truth."
Licht's lips pursed into a thin line, so much tension remained between the two of them. The argument was still there, but he reduced her to begging. And it didn't sit right with him, she really was persistent. He went over the consequences in his head once more, before sighing heavily.
"Alright. It will be quite some unbelievable information though."
She grinned and grew into a loud laughter, she looked so happily. And finally the bright smile that caused his heart to skip showed itself to him.
"Thank you for trusting me." She said beholden to him.
"I'll start with Hyde, I explained before he was a vampire. But not an ordinary one, he's a demon called a Servamp."
"Servamp?"
"A combination of the words Servant and Vampire. I don't pay heed to what that demon says, but Servamps are special because they form contracts with humans."
"Contracts?"
"Like an invisible bond sort of, or chains. The contract started off temporary and I would've been free of him until he tricked me. The contracts are permanent when they drink your blood." Licht explained in detail, although he sounded bitter when he talked of his contract with Hyde. (Y/n) fidgeted in her seat slightly, one question bugging her.
"Licht-san.." She finally gathered the courage to ask.
"Can you break the contract?" She asked.
"It's possible, if the one of those in the contract happens to..." Licht paused, but there was no use in sugar coating.
"Die." He said bluntly making (Y/n) stiffen.
"There's darkness in this whole thing, and I plan to eradicate these demons because I'm an angel." He said bitterly. Then he looked at (Y/n).
"And why I planned to keep you out of it. But I guess that didn't work." He said, and she laughed muffling it behind her hand. Her eyes glinted again as she coasted her gaze to the side.
"Well we all have our own darkness, the only difference is how much light is there too." She mumbled, although not loud enough for Licht to hear.
"What was that?"
"Nothing." She said and leaned back onto the sofa.
"Is there more?" She asked. He nodded in response and continued to explain to her, at least what he bothered to remember. About the subclass, his lead, and more about the contract. (Y/n) took note into all of this, it really did seem dangerous. She could see why Licht seemed antsy whenever she got remotely close to discovering about the Servamps.
"Ok. I think I understand now, to describe that as intense must be an understatement huh Licht-san?" She asked giggling at her own question.
She hummed and then gasped, "Licht-san, your concert's tomorrow right?" She asked.
"Yeah, why?" Licht asked wondering why she was so concerned.
She sighed, "I forgot. I had a good luck gift to give you. Well it's more like charm."
Licht scoffed at the childish thought, "I don't need petty things like charms."
(Y/n) pushed him playfully, "Well don't think of it as something for good luck. Think of it as...a parting gift." She said. Licht immediately sat up at attention and at a loss for words. He had forgotten for a short time.
"I kind of wish you told me tomorrow's your last day in Japan." She said, she didn't show any sort of pain or sadness, she was just a really good hider. Licht felt some sort of pang in his chest, was this regret? Sadness? Something painful tugged at him, now that the bond has gotten closer, it was something he didn't want to lose. No more than just the bond, (Y/n) entirely. (Y/n) noticed his silence and then elbowed him slightly. This was a first time experience, as (Y/n) was his only other friend other than Krantz, and the only other one he wanted to become more than friends.
"I'm not upset. That much. I get how busy you are with your tours and your future. I'm fine." Licht still remained silent as he started looking remorseful, (Y/n) didn't know about what. Or practically why he was feeling that way at all.
"Come on Licht-san, it's not like this is our last meeting. Or even our last talk together, we still have our contact information. Besides just remember the time we spent together, like people always say don't be sad over the parting, be happy over the time you spent and the memories you made." She babbled out, but Licht listened and he thought about what she said. He wondered how she managed to stay so positive over something painful, a parting. One thing is for sure, she was handling it better than he was at the moment.
"I'll...keep that in mind."
"Humph!" She huffed suddenly and poked his cheek forcefully.
"Oi!"
"And don't be a jerk and not call me. I expect at least one phone call every week." She bantered playfully, but then lowered her finger and laughed at herself afterwards. Licht rolled his eyes, he should be used to her banter by now. But there were still these little moments.
"So your concert's tomorrow huh? Are you nervous?" She asked making Licht glare at her.
"Right, Todoroki Licht-san never gets nervous." She said teasingly and laid her arms above her head. He grumbled facing the other way, (Y/n) could've sworn she heard him mumble something in annoyance but she didn't recognize the words.
"It's a sold out show too." (Y/n) commented.
"You said you wanted to come to one of my concerts." Licht said bringing forth a past subject. (Y/n) hummed but then close her eyes.
"I do. But I can't help that it's sold out. Besides, I got to meet you, become friends with you, listen to your music in person, and more. It's more than enough for me." She said with a bluch creeping on her cheeks, Licht once again picked up on that sort of melancholic tone that laced her voice and it made him furrow his brows. He remembered her telling him she was sick, but he felt there was more. There was an even bigger puzzle with her that he didn't even discover yet.
"Hm, its late." She said noting the time on her cell. It was true, and the sky was completely dark right now.
"You going home?" He asked.
"I would...if I could get up." She said bluntly.
"What?! What do you mean by that?!" He stood up and asked slightly surprised by her blunt statement.
"Uhh..." She drew out a nervous chuckle,
"Is this a bad time to say I would've left earlier but I couldn't cause I felt extremely dizzy, and my joints are in irritating pain and I sort of...couldn't...breath...for a moment?" She asked nervously pausing between each word as she glanced at Licht's glare. She continued to nervously chuckle trying to play it off.
"You idiot. You need to tell me these kinds things." He said sternly, it wasn't yelling, but (Y/n) still flinched at his words.
"I'm sorry, I thought it would get better, but apparently not." She apologized making Licht softly facepalm. He sighed, but he decided to deal with it.
"Get on my back." He ordered while (Y/n) blinked. It took her a moment to fully get what he was saying. The blush made another appearance on her cheeks.
"Right now?"
"Yes, and no arguing either." He ordered more sternly, her eyebrow twitched. Despite the situation, she tried to play it off, not making it seem like her heart was racing and she was blushing an extremely visible red.
"Alright." She said as he took off his backpack and hooked the strap around his shoulder. She slowly locked her arms around his shoulders and him locking his arms under her legs. He lifted her up easily onto his back, and started treading to the door.
"Krantz." He called as soon as he opened the door. Krantz jumped from where he stood and looked to both him and (Y/n).
"I'm taking her again, I'll be back."
"Bye Krantz-san!" (Y/n) waved goodbye to him, he only smiled and waved back watching the two, or rather Licht, walk away. He chuckled upon seeing the cute scene.
"She really is a good influence on him." Krantz commented.
