Movement 13

"Eh? Karaoke?" (Y/n) got a surprise phone call again quite early in the evening the next day. Only this time it was from Kranz instead of Licht, since Licht was busy practicing as usual.

"Yes! Licht has been mentioning it for a while now, he even seemed pretty excited. Maybe you can accompany him?" Kranz asked, seemingly pointing to something else in mind that (Y/n) didn't catch. She thought for a moment, laughing at the mental image. Licht gushing over anything like a hyperactive child was actually hilarious that (Y/n) snickered out loud. But then she paused, just the thought of hanging out with him brought a smile to her face that wouldn't fade away. Although she had her doubts, she couldn't deny the overwhelming joy. The type of feeling that makes her chest feel light, and causes her mind to defy logic.

"Hm..ok Kranz-san, I'll come with Licht. Does he know yet?"

"I'll tell him as soon as he finishes practice!" Kranz declared adding a jolly laugh, (Y/n) sweatdropped. But she huffed with a small smile and big goodbye to Kranz. She stared at her phone shaking her head in amusement. Her heart faintly skipping beats, reminding her...that her feelings still lingered.

She checked the time, still a few hours left, so she decided to take a walk like she always does. Perhaps then meet up with Licht on the way there. She gathered everything she needed, including her camera and journal and headed off.
--------------------------------------------

(Y/n) giggled as she snapped the trigger button of her camera left and right. She needed to catch up on what she missed after all. She caught a bunch of scenery, as well as little remnants of past areas she's been with Licht. Although she never took pictures with him in it yet. She seemed a bit shy to ask, and the one she did take he was keeping. Even if the memories she had were in her mind at the very moment, she wanted to capture them. She sighed knocking her fist to her temple lightly, to scold herself. She just kept walking in silence, out of the corner of her eye she spotted something. A birds nest perched high up in a tree, occupied by a tiny sparrow. She walked closer, zooming in with her camera lens, and caught upon the ruffled feathers and the shrill cry coming from it.

Her gaze lingered on it for a minute before pressing the button, taking a photo. She gazes upon the photo, feeling...melancholic. She huffed, a tiny smile reappeared on her face..she shouldn't be acting like this right now. She once again checked her phone, after she put the photo in her bag. She thought for a moment as soon as she saw the time, and she decided to head to his hotel early.
-------------------------------------------

Her knuckles rapped on the door once again, and she saw Kranz in the doorway.

"Oh? (Y/n)-chan?" He asked a little surprised.

"Hello Kranz-san." She greeted and bowed politely. He lead her into the room and she breathed out deep breaths relaxing.

"You're very early." Kranz noted sitting across from her.

(Y/n) closed her eyes but smiled, "Yeah. I figured I might as well come early since I didn't have anything to do."

Kranz nodded, but a thoughtful expression remained on his face. He sat in a chair across from her and observed.
"(Y/n), I have a question. It might seem a little straightforward."

"Hm?"

"Do you like Licht?"

(Y/n)'s breath hitched, and her posture straightened immediately. Her whole body became stiff, her fingers fiddled with each other, and a huge blush covered her face. Her whole body turning warm as each second ticked. Kranz observed her behavior but a small smile came upon his face.

"I-I, uh I mean we're friends but I don't think I like him..I mean probably. I mean.." She inhaled sharply to calm down her overloaded nerves.

"I don't know." She confessed as she covered her face not wanting to be exposed. Kranz chuckled watching her become flustered.

"Ah, Judging by how much you two spend time together it would make sense. I can tell Licht has developed quite a liking to you as well." He commented.

"Really?!" (Y/n) squeaked, she became even more embarrassed. It only made Kranz chuckle more.

"He may not be good at expressing himself, but I see how just from how he acts. You have made an impact on him."

(Y/n)'s flustered expression remained, but her mind repeated what Kranz told her.
An impact?
Her eyes glanced downward, and her thoughts took over. She stayed silent.

"Besides it's not like him to bond easily with a person. No matter if you fall in love or not, I bet you or Licht wouldn't want to lose a connection like this."

(Y/n) could feel her chest grow painful, not lighter, but painful. An overshadowing sorrow lingered, she wished it would be easy to her. To develop that bond into something more, but sometimes unpredictable events could happen. But at the same time, she silently agreed to everything he said.

"It would be nice for you two to fall in love though. You two make such a great pair." Kranz teased, once again (Y/n) became more flustered as her mouth gave out panicked squeaks. The little conversation went on with little teases directed towards her, only to be interrupted.

"If it isn't (Y/n)-chan~" Another playful voice intervened, Kranz amused smile became a thin line as he turned and saw a grinning Lawless.

"Eh?" (Y/n) stared off at the source of the voice. Her eyes widening slightly and her mouth gaping.

"Y-You're Hyde?"

"Ah, the little Juliet remembered me. My heart is touched." He said, his tone and his actions becoming dramatic. Like he was performing on a stage. He grabbed both of (Y/n)'s hands, his eyes sparkling like gems as he gave a grin.

"Thou art more lovely and more temperate." He said, his voice getting low as his eye lids remained half open. (Y/n) blinked, she didn't understand Shakespeare, but could get the gist of what Lawless was saying. Nonetheless she became embarrassed, and blushed heavily. Her eyebrow twitched as she became flustered.

"W-Wha-?!"

It didn't take Lawless even a second before he burst into laughter in front of her.

"Look at your face!" He exclaimed between laughs. Kranz shook his head feeling the need to scold again, a little annoyed by Lawless' behavior.

"H-Hey it's not funny." (Y/n) stuttered only for her voice to give out from Lawless loud laughter. He calmed down, and adjusted his glasses. His wide grin remained as he stared at her with his crimson eyes.

"Forgive me m'lady, I couldn't resist." He apologized, a little snicker escaping his mouth every so often.

"It's ok..." (Y/n) trailed off getting a good look at Hyde.

"So Hyde-san, you're a vampire?" She asked as she observed him. Lawless can only nod looking smug.

"Yes, you're not scared (Y/n)-chan?" He asked, although he was still teasing. The question remained lacing with seriousness. This was a chance for Lawless, to experiment.

"A real vampire." (Y/n) said amazed, she only read of the creatures in story books and fairy tales. (Y/n) was in awe, the world did have many secrets hidden from the naked eye.
"Not really scared, more like shocked." She responded.

"Not scared? Even though you're face to face with a monster."

"But, can't you turn into a cute little hedgehog?" (Y/n) asked, Lawless' breath hitched as he sweatdropped.

"That's only when I'm in sunlight!"

"But it's still very cute." (Y/n) argued, a little smile coming on her face as she pictured the little form. Lawless' glasses slipped a little under his eyes as he nervously chuckled. He fixed himself and then cleared his throat. Another chance to tease came, and he flashed a grin.

"Are you saying I'm cute (Y/n)-chan?" He asked suavely. (Y/n) thought a bit before nodding.

"Well, there's no denying that your animal form is cute. And I guess your other form isn't bad either?" She said questioningly, mostly trying to be nice. Lawless gasped loudly, once again becoming dramatic and his eyes formed tears. He grabbed a fistful of his clothing near his chest to bring forth the act further.

"(Y/n)-chan was the first to ever say something so nice. I'm so touched." He said, his voice cracking at his fake tears. Kranz could only roll his eyes while (Y/n) looked confused. Kranz grabbed Lawless by the shoulder to stop the ridiculous scene.

"Lawless, please stop messing around." He asked.

Lawless shrugged, "What? I'm not. It's true. I never get nice treatment around Angel-chan.~"

"Ah, speaking of, when is Licht closing his practice?" Kranz asked.

"Around..." Lawless drawled out until the doors suddenly opened revealing Licht with his impassive expression.
"Now." Lawless then said.

His eyebrow twitched in a mini rage as he saw Lawless standing tall and proud.
"Oi, what are you doing out of your cage? We're leaving now." He said harshly. His eyes scanned the room, and he momentarily froze in shock once he saw (Y/n) sitting on the sofa staring at him curiously. Once again she had appeared, and managed to break his composure even if for a slight second. He closed his eyes and feigned annoyance.

"Kranz." He said in a slight growl. Kranz's only response was a smile, and gesturing towards (Y/n). She looked between all of the males in the room, Lawless and Kranz subtly hinting towards something she did not pick up on. All while Licht looked like he became more frustrated by the minute.

"Uh," She spoke up, stood up, and bowed down to them quickly.
"Licht-san, I came because Kranz-Sam told me to. I didn't mean to intrude on your evening." She said sounding genuinely apologetic. Licht didn't say anything, but he could feel his chest constrict again. He hated these conflicting feelings.

"I invited her to keep an eye on you two. Plus she can give you some extra company." Kranz said pointing between Lawless and Licht, his expression stern and his tone became a scolding.

"Uh, bu-" (Y/n) tried to reassure them but got cut off by Licht.

"I'm not mad over her coming. I'm only annoyed that you didn't tell me first." He said trying to end the argument there. His eyes were still closed, so he didn't see the blush slowly appearing on her cheeks.

"I knew I was going to meet resistance if I did." Kranz said, he couldn't help the bemused smile that showed up as he glanced between the two. Licht grumbled a bit, he then left for a moment bringing out the cage and glaring at Lawless. He only sighed, as Kranz opened the blinds causing the sunlight to invade the room. With a puff of smoke he was in his hedgehog form, (Y/n) couldn't help but coo a little at him.

Once Licht shut the cage, he was already by the door, "Come on." He said bluntly, (Y/n) jogging slightly to catch up with him.
---------------------------------------------

"Whoa! So this is what a Karaoke booth looks like." (Y/n) admired the area around her bewildered, probably drawing unnecessary attention to herself.

"You've never been to one before?" Licht asked, seemingly trying not to care but failing.

(Y/n) looked at him with an excited grin, "No! I never got the chance. But now that I have it looks so cool." She speculated as she went up to observe the machine. Licht suddenly remembered, and his eyebrows furrowed as he watched her take the mic happily in her hands. Licht's fingers fumbled in embarrassment at sudden thoughts of asking to sing with her, so he tossed them aside and just sat quietly.

"Hm.." (Y/n) hummed as her face brightened, in a second she grabbed Licht by the sleeve pulling up and putting the microphone in his hand. Her luminescent grin causing Licht to become internally flustered.
"I bet..Licht-san can sing as good as he can play. Or maybe he can't." (Y/n) playfully elbowed him bringing forth a bargain.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Licht asked.

"Challenge!" (Y/n) pointed her finger in front of him exclaiming loudly.
"Show me how good you can sing. If you blow me away with your voice I'll..." She trailed off thinking, all while pondering Licht rolled his eyes and picked a song impatiently.

"I'm not being a part of a bet to show you how good I can be. Just sit down and listen to an angel sing." He asserted, (Y/n) saw a slight smirk on his face. She got caught off guard as she stepped away nervously and sat down.

Licht couldn't help his nerves as well, his body just reacted the way he didn't want it to. Just in front of (Y/n), he didn't want to mess up. His mind arguing with itself not to mess up, but the slight tremble in his fingers arguing back. How is it she always manages to make his mind and body a mess even without doing anything? As soon as the song started and he glanced at her, staring back at him inquisitively did he regain his composure. His voice became automatic and it projected throughout the area. Singing was way different from piano, his fingers didn't do all the work and his voice had to take over. But that was the fun of karaoke, taking on a whole new form of music in an unprofessional way. It wasn't everyday he got to use his voice to showcase music.

He met eyes with (Y/n) again to see her astonished, like with her first experience with his raw piano playing. Did he really impress her that much? He used his knowledge to give out his best performance, that was just how he acted. Giving his best performance, but he had a reason to. Once the song finished he heard thunderous applause from her.

"I knew it! Licht-san really is amazing when it comes to music." (Y/n) praised smiling at him. He gripped the mic before he returned it to its rightful place, he hid the tiny blush that came from his broken composure. (Y/n) was still smiling sweetly at him when he returned to his seat.

"I told you, I'm an angel so my voice sounds like one." She sweatdropped as she saw him get into his usual pose once again.

She cleared her throat, "Your voice sounded nice Licht-san. It was like the piano, but different. It sounded smooth and the melody just added an enthralling effect." (Y/n) sighed happily as she continued to comment. Licht became attuned to her praise, he should be used to it already, but just the thought of her praising him caused his mind and heart to race. She had a hypnotizing effect on him that lasted permanently, and able to mess with his mind. The familiar chime of her cell once again interrupted everything.

Instead of the usual frown, her smile became wider, catching his attention. He watched her fingers tap away at a text. Licht didn't pay any mind to it, until the texts became more frequent.

"Who are you texting?" The question came out automatically without any thought. Licht wanted to slap himself as soon as he finished the question.

"A new friend I made a couple of days ago. He's really nice." She said letting out laugh. Licht's brows furrowed as his ears caught the pronoun.

"He?"

"Yes, a boy named Shirota Mahiru. I met him at the convenience store the other day." She chirped, Licht looked at her watching her expression remain happy as she described her new friend to her. He listened, becoming aware of a feeling that twisted inside of him. He logically tried to ignore it, trying not to make a big deal out of her making a new friend. And she looked pretty glad causing him to snap his mouth shut. But the thought of it being male, no denying the fact that it ticked him off. Of course he was being ridiculous, but he couldn't help himself.

"Seems nice." Licht played it off as he responded bluntly. She nodded at his statement naive to his behavior.

A sudden gasp escaped her as she abandoned her cell and shuffled through her bag. Her hand popped out along with her camera, she grinned chuckling through her teeth. Her eyes casted a quick glance at Licht who was just staring at her questioningly.

"Uh...Licht-san...um.." (Y/n) mumbled shyly hiding her blushing face behind her camera. Licht raised a brow and waited for her to continue, or at least try to form a coherent sentence. She just took a deep breath seemingly taking a huge risk.
"C-Can we take picture together?" She squeaked out her question as she looked extremely embarrassed, more than before. Since she kept her eyes closed not daring to look at him, although she cracked one open to see him still staring at her stone faced.

"Just this one time." He sounded indifferent, but his voice was quieter than usual. Even if her blush grew more heavy, her heart pounded once more with excitement. She shifted herself, even catching Licht off guard as she settled her back on his side until they were in contact. Licht could feel his heart pound like a drum even after the picture was took and the contact was lost. On the other hand, (Y/n) focused on the photo intently, her first memory with Licht finally captured. She tucked it away safely then hummed again for a few moments.

"Licht-san, are you going to sing some more?" She asked after some time and pointed to the mic. He stayed silent for a moment and glanced at her.

"What about you?"

The question caused her to stiffen, and she giggled nervously while scratching her cheek.
"I can't...I never sang before in my life. And I can't hit certain notes. Also I might have a coughing fit right in the middle of the song and that's just embarrassing." She said sounding somewhat ashamed, or rather disheartened.

"Then just listen to mine." He said impassively. (Y/n) cut off her ramble feeling her heart clearly pound beneath her rib cage.

"O-Ok." She stammered. But she was smiling, feeling jovial as she watched Licht grab the mic again. Her form relaxed as she leaned on the table, watched, and listened. This was what she enjoyed, the light heartfelt activities between the two of them. It made her so happy, perhaps more than just happy.
-----------------------------------------

"Wow I can't believe we stayed that long." (Y/n) said looking at the night sky. Both of them were walking down the street, the usual activity of the city seemed to have decreased, which was a little odd. (Y/n) just shrugged it off, Licht however had his eyes scanning the darkened streets. (Y/n) felt her cellphone buzz, she looked upon the contact, with nothing but confusion.

"Mahiru-san?"

Her voice and that name made Licht freeze like stone in his steps. The nagging creeped up, and he felt tense. His angel instincts were screaming at him for some reason.

"(L/n)-chan. You texted me you were with your friend right?"

"Uh, yes?"

"Would that friend happen to be Todoroki Licht-san?"

"Yeah."

Something felt amiss, (Y/n) depicted from Mahiru's voice that he sounded distressed. She glanced towards Licht, who thankfully was still distracted himself. That distress included Licht as well, and it caused even her to become anxious. Just as she was about to ask Licht, he forcefully grabbed her arm, his actions cautious and his piercing glare ahead. (Y/n) blinked, and her eyes widened as soon as they laid upon the figure ahead of them. There stood Mahiru with an equally shocked face, and another unknown person dressed in blue gazing lazily at them.

"Mahiru-san?"

A/N: I may change up the events of the arc with Licht and Lawless up a bit from canon. But just a bit, reader chan is gonna learn about the servamps ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Also this may not be my best chapter, it's long but boring. Next few will be exciting. If anyone could give me reviews or suggestions to improve would be greatly appreciated.
