"Ugh!!!" Adria groaned in as she swept everything on the table to the ground in one motion out of frustration. Not being able to know anything about her mother and a tiny migraine was enough to take away any bit of sanity left in her after the rain dancing the last night.

How could she let her guards down? And what was the feeling that she felt when he lifted her? Nothing was in her control right now! She felt.......weak? And it was horrifying than any nightmares or any sins she has committed.

All her life she made sure not to portray herself as weak. Her cold, stoic behavior only made her believe she was emotionless as a dead body. Did her own little facade fall down last night? Or was she just overthinking?

At last, she decided to sleep as she was feeling nauseated by the tornado of thoughts mixed with a growing headache. Though, she was drained from the day's events, she couldn't sleep. Strange things were happening to her, like a pair of red eyes were flashing through her mind and she felt like someone or something was looking at her but she couldn't open her eyes so she shaked it off. But the feeling grew more and more intense. Adria felt as if someone was right in front of her. Though she wasn't scared, she decided to check out what was happening. Despite not wanting to, she ripped her heavy eyes open and switched the lights on. She analysed the room in her place and when she found nothing, she got of the bed making it screech in the dead silence. She opened the door peeking at the empty hallways and kitchen. When there was nothing but sheer blackness, she just got back in and switched off the lights. Even if she was confirmed that there was no one, she still looked out the window but there was nothing.

Just as Adria turned to her bed lazily as she was tired and just wanted to sleep, she saw something large and glowy staring down, deeply at her. She swallowed a chunk of her own saliva and stared back at it with confusion masking her face. She wasn't scared until the lights flickered and she caught a glimpse of the hideous Cyclops which was standing right in front of her and staring into her soul. Maintaining eye contact, she searched for a weapon, any kind of weapon. Adria was confused and scared to know that this kind of creature exists and it was in her room. Although the gigantic Cyclops was beyond terrifying, she managed to act calm and kept searching for some kind of weapon still keeping an eye on it. The one eyed monster took a step forward knocking all the things which was on its way as it grew more and more impatient by the minute not being able to find any presence of a human being. Adria quickly grabbed a broken leg of the table that it knocked over and tried back away from the monstrous Cyclops. Holding the wooden leg defensively, she climbed on her bed standing face to face with the monster. By the way it was walking, Adria found out it couldn't see anything. She threw an object to the other end of the room to make it turn behind. And as her plan worked, she pounced on it stabing it's back with the sharp end of the wooden leg. The Cyclops roared in pain and Adria fell to the ground as it danced trying to pull out the thing which caused the twinge in it's back. Adria layed on the floor with blood ouzing out of her head. As her vision became blurry, she saw someone with red eyes coming from her bedroom's window and kill the beast.

'What the heck did just happen??!!' Ven thought as he was making sense of the whole situation.

He had just saved Adria without even knowing it. It was like he was dragged to her house against his own will. He knew the Cyclops was going to attack her but he thought it was for the best as his mission was to kill her anyways. Though he had to snatch her powers first, he could've done it after she had died, right? Wrong. He realised now that her powers were too omnipotent. The only reason he was trying to get close to her was because he had to seize her powers without her knowing before he killed her. Or so he thought that was the reason behind him getting close to her.
