Sam woke up with a small groan, rubbing her eyes as the sun beamed onto her face, blinding her. "Fuck..." she muttered, slowly sitting up.

She reached for her temple, shutting her eyes as her fingers glowed a white light, her feathers shivering as the pain in her head died down, a soft and relieved sigh leaving her lips as the hangover washed away, the smell of coffee wafting into her nose as the door clicked open.

Sam's hand flew down to her leg, turning her head to see Karen walk in with a smile, holding two cups of coffee. "Morning, bed head." She hummed, handing Sam the coffee.

"Thank you. Though I'm sure water does much better for hangovers." She chuckled, sipping the coffee. "Is this even from my coffee machine? Because the stuff I buy is shit."

"No. No I Uh... went over to Dukin and got us coffee... my hangover was too bad to make it myself and I tried playing it off." Sam chuckled and sipped the coffee again.

"Well. If I didn't know the flavor of my own coffee, I would have bought it." Karen smiled, watching Sam slowly get out of her bed.

"It's 9 AM right now... and now that I'm sure I'm off of this case thing I'm going to head home, maybe get some more.. personal things to spice the office up a bit, yeah?" Karen asked as Sam nodded.

"Sounds good. If you have a spare desk, that would be helpful for me." She smiled, watching as Karen slipped her shoes back on, waving goodbye. Sam waved back, turning to her kitchen as the door shut behind Karen, her eyes fixated on the window that looked out to Matt's apartment.

She hummed slightly, feeling her wings attempt to nudge her closer to the window as if they were a friend shoving her closer to a crush. She shook the feeling away, edging her elbows to her sides.

Sam chugged the rest of her coffee, flicking the light switch on in her hallway, pausing with a frown when it didn't turn on. She tried several times again, but it still wouldn't flicker.

"Great." She grumbled, grabbing a stool and standing below the light, tapping it once before it sparked back to life. "I am not wasting my money on some damn light bulbs."

Standing in front of her new desk, Sam smiled widely. "It's the best one I could find. I don't expect you to pay me back or anything." Karen smiled softly as Sam shook her head.

"Expect some money, Karen. I said to find one from your house! Not a store. But it's great. There's enough space to set a small file combiner and a monitor or my laptop— it's great." Sam grinned at Karen, who faltered a smile.

"I'm glad you like it, Sam." Karen sighed quietly as Foggy and Matt walked into the office, both holding coffee cups.

"Hey guys. I like the new desk." Foggy gestured to the desk that sat against the left side of the center office, Karen and Sam smiling ass Matt walked forward.

"Thanks Karen just got it— Matt don't—" before Sam could stop him, Matt went to set his coffee down where Karen's desk used to be, pressing his lips together awkwardly when the coffee fell to the ground, splashing open. Sam's hand slapped over her mouth to stop a burst of laughter, snorting in the process.

"Oh... I um... assumed we just got a uh— replacement." Matt frowned with an awkward chuckle as Foggy started laughing hysterically, Karen holding her gut as it started to hurt from attempting to hold in a laugh. "Yes. Haha. Laugh at the blind man."

"I'm— I'm— oh my god—" Sam rested against her desk as she started to laugh an attempted apology, wiping away tears as Matt started to chuckle at his own mistake.

"Oh god I've been waiting for something like this to happen since college." Foggy laughed as Matt slowly turned to him with a frown.

"Wait— you've never rearranged his room to mess with him?" Sam asked as Foggy nodded quickly.

"He's always noticed that the room changed! It's passed me off every time." He let out a long sigh that ended with a laugh. "I'm going to go get something to clean up the coffee." Foggy went to the small kitchen, frowning when he realized they were out of paper towels.

"Sorry... i already used the rest when I spilled my water this morning. I can go with you to get more?" Foggy nodded quickly and the two ran out of the office, leaving Matt and Sam, who was still giggling.

"I see your senses aren't the way they used to be." Sam sniffled a laugh as Matt rubbed the back of his neck.

"Look I wasn't exactly pin pointing where everything was at this moment." Matt laughed awkwardly as Sam shook her head.

"Well, now I know every time you make me angry, I'll go back to doing what I used to do when we had our little fights."

"You mean the one time you rearranged my room because I took your teddy bear?" Matt raised his brows as Sam scoffed.

"It was an alligator wearing a teddy bear costume!"

"The one you described to me with such little detail that I had to feel it to under what on earth you were talking about." Matt grinned as Sam rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in the process.

"My descriptions have gotten better." Sam retorted, Matt raising a brow in suspicion.

"Really?" Sam hummed a response as Matt walked slightly closer. "Then you should describe the office to me." He suggested, Sam's smirking slightly.

"Still flirtatious. I'm starting to think you never did change." Sam wondered as Matt hummed, shrugging slightly.

"Some things never change." Matt waved his hand around to have Sam do her best attempt at describing the room, and she sighed.

"Okay... we'll this is obviously my desk, right against the wall leading to your room. It's uh... a dark wood. But not so dark it looks black. Like the in-between of grey and black. Don't have the money to afford a decent swivel chair so I have the metal pull out one. Not as comfortable as I want it to be but it's good enough." Sam's hand snakes to Matt's back, leading him to the middle of the room. "And right in front of us is where you spilled your coffee."

Matt chuckled, shaking his head and stepped over the coffee spill.

"And right here is Karen's desk. Hers is more cluttered with cabinets and papers from her case. It's a dark brown, and looks like it was carved right from a tree. We were thinking about getting a carpet in here to fill up the large empty space. Or maybe some comfy chairs."

"I like the sound of that idea." Matt smiled as Sam lead Matt into Foggy's office.

"Then we're in Foggy's office. It's pretty messy right now, there's a lot of papers on his desk. He was talking about getting a couch in here to sleep on." Matt interrupted Sam with a laugh. "He has two windows facing our direction right now, and then to our right is the empty office."

"What about the color?"

"The color?" Sam frowned as Matt nodded

"I can still remember colors, I can picture things in my head." Matt waved his hand around his head as Sam nodded.

"Well.. during the day, it looks like a plain grey color that almost looks peachy if it's really bright. But— when the sun starts to set it almost looks like Umm.. like olive, I guess." Matt smiled softly at the idea of what the office might look like, nodding. "And the floors are obviously wood... it's a neutral wood color, I suppose. It's a dark-ish brown... not that I'd be great at describing the colors of anything."

"Well, I think you're doing a good job." Matt turned his head towards the entrance, slowly stepping out as Karen and Foggy came rushing back in, Foggy holding up the bag of paper towels with a smile.

"Clean up time."
